Enjoy it while you can. This is a fairly standard hotel, but the location is outstanding - right downtown with tons of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel was sold recently and will be converted into some kind of housing or healthcare facility, maybe in early 2024. This is too bad, because most of the other hotels in Alameda are nowhere near downtown. And the staff are all helpful. It's a shame this hotel may be going away. I was in Alameda for work and staying here made my trip much more funNearby activities: Lots of shops, bars and restaurants close by. Full-sized grocery store almost next door. And, as another review mentions, Wally's Corner bar is on the same block :-)Walkability: Right downtown

I stayed there 10/02 for one night. I have was lied on by the house keeper and said that I smoked weed in the room when it was me and my minor son in the room and we didn’t smoke in the room. I had surgery recently and can’t smoke and he is a minor. So they kept my deposit. Which I will be calling corporate on them for lying on me. I have stayed at the hotel a lot of times and appreciate the cleanliness of the room. After 12pm they force you out of the room and by 12:15 they are harassing you to get out which I am Wyndham rewards member and get late check outs. I am very saddened by the lies and misinformation.

Checking in wasn't the fastest but it was fine. Parking lot available for convenience. Room was nice, very comfy king bed, separate lounge area with a sofa (2 TV's total), clean bathroom, mini fridge and microwave, working temperature control (heater and AC). Also, 12pm checkout, always a plus for me. Insulation is terrible, whether it's conversations, the banging and vibrations of "stomping" coming from the ceilings, or what sounds like pipes and running water from other rooms or behind the walls, you can hear it all. But otherwise, a great hotel stay that met all our needs.

Such a great, affordable little place when you're staying in the Bay Area. Plus it's next to Wally's corner bar, one of the greatest little dive bars on earth! The new hotdog and ice cream places between the hotel and the bar we're very busy so they must be pretty good.

Well appointed rooms, clean, convenient to restaurants and a market. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. We will be back!Walkability: There's a market nearby, a barbershop, several restaurants and bars. There's a gas station and a Subway next door. The area is well lit at night and felt safe.

Clean, near walking distance of restaurants and grocery store. Can walk to the beach here (15min). No traffic that I encountered. Daily room cleaning service was down when I stayed, but honestly prefer it that way. Breakfast was the basics nothing crazy, loved the quick meal.

Great hotel in downtown Alameda. Walking distance to restaurants and the pinball museum and very short drive to Robert Crown beach. The breakfast was nice and the room was clean. Very good value.

The owner of the Hotel sold it to a local public housing authority to be converted to low income housing. He didn't even have the balls to tell his employees. They had to read about it in the local newspaper. A real class act, that guy.

We loved the location of this hotel. It's walking distance to some great bars and restaurants. The hotel room had a microwave and refrigerator which were very convenient, and the bed was super comfy as well. There were also 2 tv's, although we would have preferred the couch/livingroom area be open concept instead of the livingroom and bedroom areas being separated. In any case, we did enjoy our stay and will definitely return the next time we're in town.

I stay here often when traveling for work and have never had a bad experience at the hotel itself (the surrounding area heading toward Oakland can be sketchy though, and there is an issue with theft in the area). The staff is always friendly and professional, the rooms are clean, the bed is comfy, and the free breakfast is fine. The only down side is if you have a room facing the street, the traffic noise can be quite loud. Still the nicest lodging on Alameda island and I will continue to stay whenever I'm traveling for work.

I like this place. Hopefully there won't be any issues because I would like to stay here now for my frequent trips to the bay area. Nice and clean and very comfy. Everyone is nice.
