After not cutting my hair for a year, I went to Eddie with full trust. He asked what I wanted and I found an old picture of my hairstyle. He somehow made my hair look even better than it was in the photo and I couldn't be happier. I may have found my go-to spot for my hair needs. I definitely recommend.

Decided to give this place a try since it is only a block away. Was so pleasantly surprised and happy with the results. No one has cut my bangs as perfectly as Eddie and I've had many great stylists over the years. Ling gave my daughter her first haircut and it was great! So happy about this cute new location.

Ling & Eddie have been my barbers since I was a baby. I grew up with them from their old location in Downtown Oakland to their current location in Alameda. They're fantastic! Highly recommend them. Also, I just heard from my mom they just relocated on High St.

A long overdue review! I've been going to Ling and Eddie for years to get my hair done. Love going to them when I'm looking to try a new hairstyle or cut. My most recent trip, I wanted to do a more vibrant color with my hair since I'm working from home for the next few months. I sent a few pictures in advance of my appointment to ensure they had the right color. It wasn't my first time dying my hair but it was the first time going this extreme and I have to say, I LOVE IT! Eddie always does an amazing job with color. I trust him and Ling completely! I've previously done a light blonde ombré through them a few years ago and loved that to. Their new salon is super cute, with a very instagrammable wall if you like to pose for a photo after :) Location has small parking lots around it so no issue with finding a spot Cash only or pay via venmo as they no longer take credit cards

My last review was 9 years ago and how quickly time passes. :) Ling has been the only hairstylist to cut my hair in the last 10 years and its always amazing. She understand everyone is different and she manages to get it right every time. CHECK OUT THE NEW LOCATION: 2003 High Street, Alameda, CA 94501 Easy parking, cute salon and always fun to spend time with Ling & Eddie as she transforms my look. Finding a hairstylist is not easy and when you do its a relationship you never want to lose. Thanks Ling!

My son was alarmed when he went to the Webster Street location because we didn't know that the salon moved during the Covid pandemic. Now that everyone is vaccinated we thought it was time to go back to his favorite haircutter in Alameda. The salon is now located at 2003 High Street. Eddie is still doing fabulous haircuts and I can't tell you how much I appreciate good consistent work from someone who really cares about the job he's doing. That's what you can expect from this hair salon. Thank you, Eddie. Bring cash or your payment app because they're no longer taking credit cards.

I visited the new location of the New image beauty salon at 2003 High street Alameda CA 94501and My experience was great. I got a haircut and I love it. Ling was so nice and understood what I want and did a great job.

This is the best hands down salon for asian hair in the whole Bay Area. I always feel like I am in good hands with Ling who has decades of experience cutting hair. I actually followed her from her downtown Oakland location to Alameda because she is that good. The prices are extremely reasonable for the incredible quality of the haircut you get. The only place I feel like that compares is Los Angeles Koreatown where they really know how to cut asian hair. So if you are someone from LA who has been hunting for a similar price to quality ratio then Ling at New Image is it!!! Her husband also works with her and they are an adorable couple with their two adorable small dogs that often are at salon with them.

I had my hair cut with Ling! She is very nice and speaks English and Cantonese. She is available by text or phone call to make appointments or tou can walk in if you have time to wait. My hair cut took about an hour with all the finishing touches and hair styling. I had to wait about 15 minutes since it's near Chinese New Year and everyone is getting their hair cut! Ling did text me to say she was running behind though which is very nice of her! I have long hair and got layers starting at my shoulders. I'm lazy and get my hair cut like once a year though. Ling also dyes hair as well but I have never used those services. Her husband Eddie is available for mens hair cuts as well. And they also have a person named Saisha who does waxing, threading, and make overs.

I'ved know Eddie for a long time and he's been cutting my hair for over 20 yrs. Nobody cuts my hair like Eddie, I tried different salon and the hair stylist just ca'nt style my hair the way I wanted to or they're too scared to cut my hair short. I like my hair short and Eddie knows exactly what I like. So netizen I highly recomended this salon when you get your haircut there you will be satisfy.
