DONT GO HERE A LADY WHO WORKS THERE NAMED MARY TOOK STUFF OUT OF OUR CART WITHOUT ASKING US!!!!Me and my friend were going to check out this Sephora since it was close by and we were looking for something fun to do. We ended up going inside and checking out some stuff most of the workers there seemed chill expect for the worker named Mary she kept hovering over us and would not let us shop in peace. We even bought something to prove that we were gonna buy stuff so she would stop making us uncomfortable. She literally did not stop pressuring us to leave or pay. Me and my friend felt so discriminated of her and so uncomfortable. The last straw was when we were deciding what to buy so I went to go put some of the stuff back in their spots and she ended up taking stuff out of our cart that mind you WE WERE GONNA BUY!!! She was honestly making us feel like we were doing something wrong by shopping there. So incredibly rude and disrespectful at that point we did not want to buy it anymore and we just bought the stuff we had in our hands and left. Her name is Mary she has long black hair looks like around 50-60 years old. So disappointed that I don't ever wanna come back due to the fact that I felt harassed and discriminated. Kohls please do something about this , I would hate for her to do the same thing to other shoppers.

I’ve had an amazing experience at this place! Unfortunately ?, I don’t remember the lady that has helped me with my order, but she was soooo sweet and beautiful! She has this long wavy hair and an incredible smile ?! For instance, I didn’t know that I can take samples home ! I was looking for a perfect ? foundation color, and had too many different layers of products on my skin! So I was offered to take a few more samples home ?. Definitely going back to this place again ???

So glad Alameda has a Sephora few blocks away from my house. The store is well stocked up and staff very friendly.

This is a cute "attempt" at a Sephora, but I did not enjoy my experience at this store. They carry maybe 1/4 of the products of a regular Sephora, and of the items that they do carry, nothing was in stock. The girl wearing the hijab was attitudinal, did not try to be helpful, or even try to act like she cared. She could not/would not recommend any alternatives to the products that they did not have, but instead just walked around in a foul mood sulking. She made it clear that she would rather be anywhere else. Apple Pay would not work because the card associated with my Apple Pay is a debit card...? What sense does that make? I also could not apply my Sephora points to this purchase because they're "not a regular Sephora, so you cannot input your phone number." This store and its workers need a lot of work. Won't be back.

It's great having a Sephora nearby, even if it is a mini Sephora. What's frustrating is the limited stock. They're always out of numerous products. Tracking inventory and replenishing stock before running out completely should be a no-brainer--it's really not that hard to manage. The other issue is customer service. Of course poor customer service is a chronic problem everywhere in retail. But an employee being visibly irritated and giving an audible SIGH when asked a simple question is just unacceptable. This place could really do with better management, and better training of staff. It would be so great to have a reliably well-stocked, tidy and well-staffed Sephora here in Alameda.

There was an error/oversite, and I was accidentally overcharged two times for a product, and the product got into the bag. I heard the sales rep was new.The next day I spoke with Maria, a responsive manager, who made things right immediately. Thanks, Sephora. I understand a mistake can happen, and I am grateful you did the right thing for me.

My mother and I went in to get her a moisturizer as she hasn't been able to find one that works for her without causing breakouts. Luckily we were able to get help from one of the sales associates Adia who went over different moisturizers and gave skincare suggestions to create a skincare routine for my mom. So far it's been over a week and my mom has felt a difference with the products Adia helped us buy and no breakouts! If you have beauty questions definitely ask for Adia!

The employees there are the worst!!!!!!!! Been in there a few times and will never go back again. Everytime I go in there, they look at you up and down. They see people at the cashier but make them wait because they're having a conversation with each other. Besides the employees being the worst. They never have anything in stock.

This is the third time i've been to this sephora and i absolutely do not appreciate the behavior the sales associates have. Every single time I've been followed around and stared at. This time I went with a friend thinking that hopefully it'll be different, however we were still watched closely. It's outrageous to simply assume my friend and I steal. Management needs to get their act together and choose their employees carefully because it makes customers extremely uncomfortable.

Real pain in the arse… they have very little stock and you can only make returns at this store, not at ANY other Sephora. Super annoying.

The employees were very rude and dismissive, they made me feel like a burden for asking for help. They ignored all of the customers in the store and openly laughed and whispered about me when I was trying to shop. I don’t usually write reviews but this was the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had .

I purchased foundation at a Sephora freestanding store in Daly city. I work in Alameda and since the pump on the foundation was defective I tried to exchange it at the Sephora at Kohl's. I had my receipt but the sales associate told me they are not allowed to exchange or return items from freestanding Sephora. Why is it called Sephora inside Kohl's? It should just be Kohl's selling Sephora products. They should not claim to be a Sephora store. It is an inconvenience for me to try to go back to a freestanding store since there isn't one in Alameda.

Worst Sephora I’ve been to. Unprofessional and rude sales assistants with attitude. Lack of products. AVOID!

Store clerks ignored myself and one other waiting customer for quite some time. I know he saw me. After several minutes, I finally had to interrupt just to ask a quick question that was answered in 3 seconds by his coworker. If they're helping another customer, that's fine, but they need to not have blinders on. If customers are waiting, sales staff should acknowledge them and say "I'll be right with you," or ask another clerk to assist.
