Horrid customer service except for one officer. They do not answer phones and have more rules than the army. They worked hard to lose me as a customer, but they finally succeeded. Now, if I can only get someone to answer the phone to see how to close out accounts and where to do it since I am no longer in Alamo, it would be really great. Keith S. 7-18-22

I have been a Wells Fargo customer for almost 10 years. After years of saving I finally decided to invest through Charles Schwab. I got a cashiers check for my $55,000 in savings from Wells Fargo and deposited it via the Schwab Mobile App. I received a confirmation from Schwab the same day that the check was accepted. The money was invested in various Stocks and Bonds the next day and I shredded the check the following day.Over a week later I received a message from Charles Schwab that Wells Fargo declined to honor the check due to poor image quality and I was in danger of going Trade Bust if I couldn't come up with the money soon. I went to the Alamo Wells Fargo branch to have them reissue the check but they would not do so without an $825 surety bond fee. I had images of the check legible to all the Wells Fargo employees I spoke with. They claimed it was simply the "automated system" declining the check. Yet, I was still responsible for the $825 surety bond fee or I could wait 6 months and possibly get my entire life savings back.I did my best to escalate the situation to executives and branch managers that were seemingly nowhere to be found. Every person I finally connected with via phone or email did absolutely nothing and gave me the runaround to the next person. I was finally connected to Hylan in Minnesota who, after 10 days, sent me a letter via snail mail saying Wells Fargo will not wave the surety bond fee or reissue the check. My entire life's savings are now in limbo supposedly for 180 days. Even so, I have no guarantee as to if an when that money will be returned to me. I had to borrow money at high interest to support my investments.Assuming I get my money back I plan on closing my account. My dad will be closing his business account with them out of solidarity. I'd urge friends and family or anyone for that matter to do your banking elsewhere.

This bank and staff don't even deserve 1 star! My employer has an account with them and I have to go in and make the deposits. Everytime I go in there I dread it because I feel unwelcome and the staff act like they're doing me a huge favor. None of the employees including the manager greet me as I enter. They work forcefully and are unhappy. I don't understand the good reviews on here. Anyone have any advice? I want to complain to whoever is above these idiots.

This location is practicing all the COVID protocols to keep both customers and employees safe. Nice to go inside and use the bank if needed.Quickly greeted and asked what I needed by a Wells Fargo employee as soon as I walked in and waited (with 6 ft of social distancing). There were two self-serve hand sanitizers (one by the front door as soon as you walk in and the second by the desks) so you can hand sanitize as you walk in and as you leave. My teller transaction was smooth and efficient.Accessibility friendly. Easy to move in and out of the branch. Handicapped parking spaces in front of the outdoor accessibility ADA ATM machines.

This review is for their online service. Impossible to deposit checks. No matter what I do. Take a picture with flash without flash try and use their automatic picture capturing. It says backup, move closer, use a darker background. The checks are all taken on a black background. I called customer service and received very rude and non-helpful agent. What good is a mobile app if it doesn't work?

I'm blown away by the fake negative reviews of this amazing branch. Look at the names, several of them have the same last name letter. Seems like a scam. I've done business with this Alamo branch for over 20 years and never received anything less than stellar service. You're barely in the door before somebody comes up and asks you what they can help you with. I've worked with tellers, managers and business bankers and everyone has always been polite and extremely helpful. I get cash from this bank several times a week and have never experience counterfeit money. I highly recommend this branch and all of their employees are wonderful!

I am a customer of this bank and while the ATMs are okay, advise not going inside the Alamo branch unless you absolutely have to. Wait time are long. When its your turn try to get one of the younger tellers. The older tellers are discriminatory and in serious need of diversity training!

Been banking at this branch for years and had good to excellent service. It serves an older, wealthier crowd who sometimes require more handholding and waits at tellers can take a while. But it's just because it's so much busier than next-door BoA (which truly is a miserable branch - and almost a morgue by comparison). In past years, you always got a hard sell for added bank accounts/credit cards etc (due to the well-known push by top management to "cross sell"). Since the scandal, the cross selling has dropped significantly and it's rarely done any more. I've found tellers here are efficient and friendly and many stay for years. I've dealt with a lot of banks/brances over the years and Alamo WF branch is the best by a long stretch (which is more an indictment of other bank's branches than anything). Parking in front can be a challenge at peak times - lots of older people go inside to do banking which could easily be done at the ATMs outside - it's a generational thing. Overall, a much better-than-average branch

Horrible customer service. The teller acted as if I was annoying her just for walking in the door. The name on the plaque said Mary Donnely. She just stared at me. She was rude, condescending, didn't answer when I asked a question and when I asked for a pen she just looked towards it with this look of annoyance in her face. When I mentioned that she was rude she said you won't get anything better at Chase or any other bank. ??? What the hell?? No wonder they have such a horrible rep. ... on my way to Open a Chase account now.

Two words - horrible service! This location has been used by our family for 30 yrs, going through several banking takeovers and buyouts. Wells Fargo is the worst. They deserve all the recent negative national publicity. I went in to deposit a large check into my checking account. I was not asking for any cash back. They refused to take the check! It was typed out from a well known national financial institution. I tried talking to the manager but it was a waste of time. Because the check had come from a Trust fund, he claimed I would have to open a trust with Wells Fago in order to deposit the check. That's absurd. I couldn't believe a bank would refuse to take money. I went to a nearby Chase location where I also bank. They took the check without any problems. Obviously I plan on closing my WF accounts. This bank doesn't want my business.
