This guy is a rip off. Charged me 75 dollars for a diagnostic fee and said its not repairable. I took it to a second shop in downtown berkeley who repaired it in less t h an 3 hours.
I was told there was no hard drive in my laptop. Did dj take it? Forgot to put it back in? Threw it away?
The guy us slippery and a sleez. Stay away.

Hosent business - always can offer quick advice before charging you to for assessment, then provides fair price for services. I had a disappearing Bluetooth on my laptop and he reset the motherboard with no fuss

I am so glad to have this place nearby. The owner is honest and will tell you if he doesn't think a repair is likely and/or worth the cost. I had one laptop that needed a new screen, and he told me that for the cost to replace it (an older model) I'd be better off buying a new one. He has replaced the charging port in one of my laptops, which has allowed me to continuting using it even a year later. And after I recently spilled coffee with lots of milk on a new laptop that I'd hardly used, he was not optimistic he could fix it, but I asked him to try anyway, and he was able to clean it out and replace the keyboard, and now it's working again. The cost was totally reasonable in light of the price of the laptop and short time I'd used it.Plus, he still uses a dot matrix printer, which is quite a feat!I totally recommend this place.

DJ Computers had come highly recommended, but he exceeded my expectations. The big box store where I had purchased my new laptop had been unable to get all of my programs transferred over, being completely unable to bring over my bridge tutorial. DJ asked me a few questions, and then knew exactly how to do it. Unlike a lot of techs, this is a man who has in-depth knowledge of how computers work, and so can untangle the problems that baffle the plug-in-to-diagnose crew. His price for rescuing this program was very reasonable. I cannot recommend strongly enough.

Went in to get a quote about my laptop keyboard. The gentleman looked it over and did some research and gave me a price. Frankly it wasn't unreasonable but it wasn't worth it for the computer. Nevertheless the shop was clean and organized.

I was looking for a stable computer repair facility in the East Bay with stable hours that accepts walk-in customers. I used them to repair my son’s Gaming PC which needed a new hard drive. I used them again on Jan 9, 2023 with very satisfied results. The owner Danny has been in business for thirty-two years. The shop is clean and professional and they have fixed my two crashing computers with a Solid State hard disk so no moving parts and it’s much faster. The best part is Danny will tell you if it’s not worth fixing it and to just buy a new one so you’re not wasting your money.

I was afraid I would need a new computer or i would have to spend hundreds of dollars on a repair. But they were not only able to fix it for a reasonable price but they were able to get it back to me quickly.
