Pretty good meat quality. Just some of the basic items are kind of pricey! Such as canned tomatoes, veggies etc...

New management and ownership. I'm excited to see them thrive! Hoping for good things for the neighborhood!

I had been thinking of shopping at Alhambra Market more often to support them because I hate that many independent and small businesses are closing. I was on the way to meet a client last Thursday and noticed some work being done in front of the market...I pull in and the parking lot has freshly painted lines for individual parking spaces. There are men on a ladder to my right as I approach the entrance installing light fixtures and what seems to be a security camera... interesting. I walk in an there's a young, tall black man wearing glasses, working the cash register. I got curious and started asking some questions, which he answerd in a calm and friendly manner. His name is John, he tells me the market has just been acquired and there's new owners now, I take a look around and everything looks a little cleaner, the shelves are well stocked and the sweet Mexican-style bread (pan dulce) tempts me to take a bite, or two. This time I resist successfully. I returned today with my wife to shop and we found the produce, herbs, fruit we needed. I invited my daughter to have some coffee flavored ice cream (that way I don't look like I'm the sweet tooth/instigator) and she was happy. Hopefully the store will continue on a more successful trend as it has been an important part of the community for at least as long as I have been a resident. Can't wait to see it thrive through many more years.

This is one of the only Mexican markets in Alhambra. My family comes here a lot. One of the carniceros told my mom how he didn't approve of my clothing since I dress masculine and how he wouldn't let me dress like that if I was his child. Besides this man all the other Spanish speaking employees are warm and friendly. I however, dread getting service from the Indian (I believe) men who own the store. They do not make me feel comfortable shopping here and their customer service is horrible. I rather drive 7 minutes down and go to the Mexican markets in El Sereno. Not to mention their produce is not good.

Very kind customer service. It was my first visit and I needed a bundle of green onions. I wasn't aware that they charge a card fee for purchases under $10, cashier insisted I take it without paying it. Will return to reimburse and buy products there.

This is a og market it's been here for the last 20 years since I've lied here. For a small market, it has a great selection of beer, produce, meats, and exported goodies. Usually not too busy as well!

Good little local market that has that has been around for a long time! They also have a butcher shop with a wide range of meats and poultry. They also make their own homemade salsas and guacamole witch are very delicious with chips and food entries.

Yes, it is a small business and that's nice so I tried to support it but being that they should care more! It smells (would never buy meat there!), plus expired products and stale or molded pastry's! Come on!

Working close by in So Pas and wanted a cold convenient Coke Cola 20 oz and something to go with it. Well let me give you all a heads up? The pan dulce not very fresh! The Coke Cola was fine. What got me was that I had my heart set on the combo. Usually don't give these kind of ratings but you know if I do it's cause they need correcting. This is Chuy aka Jesse Vara Viramontes signing off for now from the City they call Alhambra Town SGV SG with Respect

new owner is rude. Their is no hygiene in the meat counter. Owner does not give employees more than one pair of gloves for the day. Store is looking really bad. The vegetables and fruits are looking bad. There is no care
