“super friendly, got my watch resized, kept readjusting until i found it comfortable, and let me know how the links workedd with my old watch, great place, had some nice antiques”
“I've known him for at least 20 years and have been bringing our watches to him. He's a good man and a kind heart. Very knowledgeable and reasonable. One of very few kind and God fearing people left on this earth.”
“Wonderful selection. Fair prices. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and was happy to share advice. They didn't have what I was looking for at the time but were very helpful in deciding what to look for in the future and what considerations to make. Also there was a friendly dog!”
“So many treasures to discover! The ladies are so kind & their dog is such a sweetie pie! I could easily spend hours here admiring all of the wonderful vintage finds. Definitely recommend for high quality jewelry!”

“Absolutely awesome little hidden gem! They have beautiful paintings and furniture. The jewelry is gorgeous. Not expensive at all! Very affordable and cheap. I will be coming back thanks!”
“Absolutely thrilled with my purchase of an 18th Century Bikaner Carved Ceiling Panel and a 19th Century Rajasthani Mirror. Both pieces are stunning and even more beautiful in person. Since they were large items requiring freight shipping, I really appreciated that they worked with the shipper to adjust the estimate and refunded me a little money back, which was very much appreciated. From purchase to delivery, everything was smooth and professional. Very happy with the entire experience!”

“Visited David today at his new location on Garvey Ave. for an appraisal of a Jadeite pendant. Had a great experience. David is an expert in his field and was very thorough in the examination of my piece. He is easy to talk to and will work with your schedule. Parking is also easy to find due to being directly located in a large shopping plaza. I highly recommend coming here for your jewelry appraisals.”
“Great selection of true vintage garments at good prices. If you’re lucky cutest shop dog ever! Brought me their toy to my feet and enjoyed lots of pets. A must stop.”
“I have been purchasing from Sunset Bazaar and having furniture fixed and refurbished and refinished for over 15 years. For my own home and for my staging and interior design business. Cesar and his family are the most wonderful and thoughtful local furniture store owners in the whole city! They are honestly priced and really care about the space they hold in the community. Support local businesses and shop Sunset Bazaar for your vintage furniture and bring your furniture that needs refinishing and repair as well!”
“Truly a hidden gem this corner thrift store. Whenever I am in the area I always make it a point to stop in and see what’s new. Great prices, great selection for men and women and tons of odds and ends to decorate your house or to make a great gift. This thrift shop also operates as a non profit for animal rescue”
“This review is long overdue, but I truly cannot rave enough about Michael. Not only does he have a fantastic eye for curation, but his customer service is also exceptional. He was incredibly responsive to all my messages and even went above and beyond by sending videos of the pieces so I could see exactly how they sit. When my two vintage chairs and stool arrived, they were beautifully packaged and in impeccable condition. It’s been about seven months now, and they are still my favorite pieces in my house. Michael is an absolute gem, and we are lucky to have professionals like him in the business!”
“Beautiful store with lots of wonderful vintage/antique pieces and repro items to update fixtures and hardware. Would definitely come here for antique doors, windows, bathroom fixtures, etc”
“I’ve been here a few times and they always have a really interesting mix of antiques. Mostly smaller things but they do have some furniture. But last time I went in looking for something beautiful to store my cats food in. I bought this beautiful glass cookie jar and because I was unsure it would be large enough she gave me a week to bring it back just in case. It ended up working out but I really appreciated the above and beyond customer service.”
“Best deals on vintage and antique items! Friendly and knowledgeable owners & staff. Hats off to George for always delivering with care and positive attitude! Thank you for being a staple in our Whittier community!”
“I love this store! The owner gathers soooo many beautiful things from all over. I love the French soaps and teas. I love the Mexican milagros and saints. I love all the gorgeous stones and jewelry. She carries La Vie Parisienne! I went in yesterday and bought a beautiful aquamarine heart for my daughter, it is her birthstone and almost her birthday! They wrapped it gorgeously for me! I also bought a cute Louis Sherry tin chocolate box with an Easter bunny on the lid. It is soooo cute. I love all the things I have bought here over the 4 years or so it's been on Mission. I always enjoy my conversations with the owner and the other kind ladies that work there! I highly recommend this shop!”
“This thrift store is well stocked and it's hard to move around at times but I absolutely love the ladies who work here. They know the store is full so they make sure they're moving the items by having more discounts. I definitely recommend this shop instead of going to Goodwill. Check it out and you won't be disappointed.”
“I am extremely happy with my purchase and the customer service I received while shopping at AlisTradeNPost. I have been collecting silver, gold and other precious metals for over a decade now. Ali thank you so much for helping me remember exactly why I started stacking in the first place. You and your team were not only helpful but also knowledgeable. I can’t wait to come back and buy more metals and bring my wife and kids with me .”
“A marvelous Old School Japanese Antique shop with a friendly, chatty, knowledgeable owner (Lisa) who runs it now that the former co-owner and her mother, Yoko, has passed away. Yelp has this biz erroneously listed as "Closed." Lisa asked me to ask Yelp to correct this error (she is not computer savvy). She wears a mask and keeps social distance while telling lively, entertaining stories and overseeing the mass of jewelry, vintage kimono fabrics, Japanese books & DVDS, miniature dolls, and gorgeous carved pieces (like the intricate box of drawers that I watched a customer purchase). Prices run from a couple dollars on up. I bought a couple lovely pins for $8 each. (See photo) And plan to return to buy more of these one-of-a-kind treasures. Twenty-five years ago, I commissioned Yoko to make me a "noren" (Japaese door curtains). She let me pick the fabric, and made it for me. It was on the recommendation of Amy at Ai Restaurant, who had several beautiful noren by Yoko. Now, more than ever, this lovely shop could use some attention. Here's my contribution and prayer that yelp show that it is STILL OPEN!”
“Very friendly staff. My daughter was looking for a jade bracelet in her price budget and they helped her find one that she loved. They showed her how to put one on and off with no struggle. Would definitely recommend.”
“I was very happy to find this adorable little store by accident! I was hopping into the cafe nearby when I saw it and decided to peek in. I've been looking for vintage pieces lately and Casa Victoria did not disappoint! There were several items I wanted but I had to pick since I was on a road trip. I picked the most adorable red velvet foot stool to take with me. Thanks Mateo for being so helpful! I'll stop by again next time I'm in LA!”

“Went over for a quick look around and wasn't expecting to get something but I ended up getting a model kit. Amazing store as well!
And the front entrance is currently closed off due to construction in the parking lot but another entrance is open through Whittier Blvd. Just a heads up for everyone.”
“Amazing space with eye-catching art and antiques, reasonably priced for what it is, there are some incredible pieces here, a lot of larger wall art and decor pieces. This is the good stuff, real works of art. I'll be back!”
“The boss and his wife are awesome! kind! There are many antiques, objects, and bracelets! Family members who like antique bracelets should not miss this opportunity, family members, come on!”
“We had the best opportunity there, We found some Front entrance Doors that are so perfect for our new home in Utah. Samantha is awesome she spent time with us and showed everything we asked for. Thank you So Much!”

“We saw a Tik Tok video on this store and we went on holiday this place was on our list. It looked like a small store on the video, tucked away on a quiet street in LA. We drove on a late Friday afternoon from Pasadena to LA. The drive like all drives into Los Angeles was filled with craziness. We easily found the store. The neighborhood once a beauty is now overrun with the worst of LA. Right down the street from MacArthur Park. We were a little nervous about the area, but not to worry, there were plenty of uniformed police around. The store is a masterpiece of an era long past. Antique treasures are everywhere. Really there are stain glass, chandeliers, ancient doors and windows and of course a fantastic collections of tile, and kitchenware etc. Its a hugh store filled with surprises. I even say a Tiffany stain glass that was commissioned by Mark Twain ( no kidding).
The staff that work there are so friendly and conversational. Great people and an incredible adventure. If your near LA I would highly recommend a visit.”
“Galerie Sommerlath is a unique source of tasteful art and furniture in Los Angeles. The collection has a great point of view and we love the pieces that we bought. I was happy to spend my money there as the owner is a lovely person. Thank you!”
“What a fantastic visit our family had at Peter Lai’s Asian Village. He is a wonderful host and he is full of information about all the items you see on his tour. I left his place full of awe for the fantastic collection of items he has personally designed, created and worn plus beautiful furniture, pottery, rental clothing/costumes, fans, pictures, kabuki masks and so much more. Our time sped past and I will return to learn more. Peter is a fascinating person with many stories to tell. If you get a chance to go to see Peter Lai’s Asian Village, GO. Don’t miss it, it really is a treasure in the midst of LA.”
“Val is a great craftsman. He restored a chest of drawers for me and I am looking forward to him restoring a dining set for me as well. I would recommend him to anyone, as long as you are not in a hurry.”
“Always been my favorite place to buy and sell my metals. Usually buy at a small percentage over spot price and sell at a little under.
That's why, other places can be siesta and very misleading.”
