On December 27th, 2023, I was supposed to pick up a rental car reserved a few days ago using the Travelocity website.Upon arrival, we found a very aggressive and rude employee, he called himself the Manager, that had nothing but contempt toward us. He didn't care about our reservation, he didn't care about the fact that the reservation didn't mention that they were closed on January 1st -we agreed on the additional day charge- and he refused to take the insurance that we bought when I made the reservation on top of everything he wanted to take $1000 as a deposit above the rental rates.Of course, we left this place extremely upset and frustrated with the treatment that this person gave us.BTW, his excuse for everything was they were not part of Budget Renta Car Corporation. He said they were an independent branch and could set their own rules.Definitely, do not benefit this place with your business. They don't deserve it.

I had a very smooth experience having a rental car 2 days ago! Kia dealer's service advisor made an arrangement for me, so I just had to pack and go. It's very helpful, because I happened to have a jam schedule on Saturday. I appreciate the company transports the customer with a SUV, because I don't like to sit in tight spaces with 3 bags next to my feet lol!! There were couple options of the rental car, and I chose Kia Forte. It was a quick process to check in and out, and the car was very clean! Remember to check the tire tho, because it's not covered by the rental insurance ($15 a days plus something else for $24 total). One of my tire was a bit low, so just to be safe I added air at a gas station. Budget can add air for you too! Good option if you need a rental car for whatever reason (^^)

Every time I rent from Budget rent a car - it substandard. There are scratches all over the car- I let the attendant know & to document on a paper & they always say they know, - so ,I it document by taking pictures on your phone. They don't care. Definitely read the fine print carefully! I had a flat tire & I was worried if, I did not use their emergency road side service there would be a liability issue. I have AAA ( should have used them). I waited 4 hrs in the hot sun for their service & the staff on the phone was clueless. I made numerous calls to them without any immediate assistance. Extremely annoying. They can & put the spare donut on & I couldn't drive on the freeway back to where I rented it . Renting from Budget was the worst debacle , as I come to caretaker 2 family members& drive them to their appointments. ( which they missed) . I wasted - 2 days rectifying this tire problem on the phone& having to drive to another location , get another car and in the end get a bill for the emergency roadside service & tire!

The worst service in the world. They canceled my reservation without any notification, and the guy works in the front desk is super rude. While we told them that we didn't receive any notification about cancellation, he gave us an attitude and told us it is not his problem if you have any problem just call customer service.

I made a reservation here for a truck 24 hours in advance of my pickup time. When I arrived to pick up at this location, I was told by the manager Joe that there were actually NO trucks there, let alone the truck that I had reserved! He told me there were only cargo vans there, but they were reserved and not available for me to use. I asked him how many feet long the cargo vans were, and he rudely told me that I could go out to the parking lot and see for myself. I asked how it could be that I had a reservation with a confirmation email, and yet there were no trucks?!? Joe told me that he had called and left a voicemail the night before; maybe he tried to call but I never received it. And a half-hearted phone attempt in no way excuses this complete lack of follow-through on a confirmed reservation! I am completely blown away by the lack of professionalism and competency at this Alhambra Budget rental location. Previously I was frustrated by the higher prices at U-Haul and was very excited to give Budget a try, but now I'll tell everyone I know: RUN to U-Haul as fast as you can - at least there you can actually get the truck you reserved, what a concept!

This is a warning to anyone who rents with Budget. This is a review of corporate because this is who you will deal with if you have any issues There will be no help from corporate. They are hard to reach, they do not return phone calls, and rep. who calls and claims to be supervisor can't resolve the issues, and they have the power to put a hold on your credit card. We finally had to hire an attorney. Here is story Rented car with full coverage with 2 drivers so my son (29) could drive the car. Car broke down. Car replacement broke down this time in a parking garage at midnight. They called towing service # on car key and towing wouldn't give a time estimate to pick up car. An hour later garage was closing so they left and took Uber home. ($100.) Next day was told car was towed. Three days later told Budget called, they couldn't find car and it was our responsibility. REMEMBER-we had full coverage that included theft? Couldn't get hold of supervisor, no return phone calls from Budget for days and only after days and many many phone calls, nobody could help and it still isn't resolved. Hold and charges on our credit card. HOURS and hours trying to sort this out. We have a recording of towing company saying they towed the car. We have recording of Budget putting us on three way with towing and being told "Yes. car was towed." Budget said no because they couldn't find the car and we were responsible because my son left the car in the garage. He was with his fiancé in deserted garage at 1 am being told they had to leave by garage security. What was the alternative? We still are being charged for a week rental and there is still a hold on our credit card. 3 weeks later. Any help ideas are welcome. An aside that is aimed at store in TO where we rented: first car had 43,000 miles, dirty, scratched up, and 3/4 of a tank of gas. Broke down. Car #2 was filthy with dirty fingernail clippings on the floor. Pictures upon request. This car wouldn't start in a parking lot at midnight. A dangerous situation.

Worst car rental ever. I bought a present for my parents in renting a car for their trip to LA and they canceled their reservation when they were in the rental office and charged them double again just because of greed. They are so disgusting that u can't even ignore anymore in this capitalist world????????????????????????????????

If you are on a budget please don't rent a car from here! It's anything but a BUDGET car you'll be left with pennies after you return the car. All the small print on fees I even brought the tank full and was charged for fuel

I made a reservation for the cargo van for move. My sister suggested I try budget because she used them for her move about 6 months ago and it was very clean and easy. Unfortunately only part of that statement was true for me. It was easy to reserve the cargo van online, but the van was very dirty. I understand some parts of the van can be a little dirty but this was ridiculous. Avoid this cargo van: vehicle #231246 if you can. The person that helped me get all the documents situated was friendly. The van was in terrible condition. It had multiple marks on the exterior of the van. It seemed like it has been through man trips. In the back of the van, there were a bunch of Fedex slips left taped on the side. I had to ask the guy doing the check to remove all the excessive trash left in there. When I asked him why it was so dirty, he said, "The cargo van just arrived yesterday and I have not had a chance to check it yet. So I did not have a chance to clean it out". As for the cabin of the van, the dash was sticky and had dirt all over. The glove compartment was full of dirty old papers with dirt which I also had the guy remove prior to leaving. As I drove the van for my move, I noticed all these ants around the vent and dashboard. IT WAS DISGUISTING. I don't understand how a company would even allow this van to be rented to customers in this fashion. The only reason I'm giving it a 1/5 is because the guy helping me was friendly. I would not recommend this company or at least this location if they think giving someone an excessively dirty van with bugs, dirt and trash is acceptable.

If I could I would put zero stars. The old guy who supposedly works there as rent assistant has some psych issues. We came with my girlfriend and I wanted to rent it on my name but then we realized that my license will expire next day and she was going to rent on her name. This guy start telling friend not to do it because happy it was very dangerous according to his experience. We were planning to go to Palm Spring but after listening to his speeches for 15 min, we changed our mind. The other two customers were waiting outside but could hear his speech and they left too. I am sure their business is blooming with such an amazing worker. Guy just doesn't know the borders. He obviously has some serious mental issues. I even told him that I did not ask his opinion and he should keep it to himself. I would call the supervisor and report a complaint but then we just decided to go with Enterprise at least there we can deal with professionals.

The experience was so bad from beginning to end. The car smelled of cigarettes smoke and I was told we will call you tomorrow to switch the car out. No phone call. The speedometer did not work that just made it worse. The worst customer service during car return. ?

I just rented a car from them recently and the person who served me was kind and friendly, the rates were great and the car was well maintained, they even let me store my motorcycle in their garage so I wouldn't have to Uber to pick up the car and Uber home after dropping it off, I highly recommend this place and I will be a return customer ?☺️

It seems many other people have had this issue but we made a reservation for a truck rental and counting on it when we arrived in the morning they informed us there were no trucks available even though we have had a reservation for days.
