Give only 3 stars because have to return to store twice to exchange to correct item when I give my car information and part doesn't fit. The customer service was friendly, but incorrect size item was given. Make sure you bring the actual part to compare and to match or might get incorrect size and your time will be wasted.

Big autoparts store. They have had everything I've needed in-stock every time I've needed it. Even when I didn't even know what I needed! The staff is incredible, knowledgeable, and friendly. Great experience.

Quality/Quantity - N/A, needed a light bulb for my car. Atmosphere - Good size location. One of the bigger ones that I have been to. Open 7 days a week, from 7:30am to 10pm; and on Sundays until 9pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Got here during shift change...? Well the morning crew had better service than the afternoon crew. The morning crew took their time to make sure they met the customers' needs, offered alternative solutions, etc. The good news, as the next shift team walked in, they asked to help the next person, me. The bad news, I guess this location or company policy changed to NOT help change light bulbs any more. The employee told me to "Google" it, so I YouTube it instead. I then asked him to show me all the bulb options depending on which bulb I will need to change. Not sure why I did not think about YouTubing it before; it could have saved me a trip. Well after YouTubing it, I have decided to pay someone to change it. Bad thing about these "fancy" cars, they are not meant for us "regular" people to work on... We need a professional. And after YouTubing it, there was NO way the employee could have helped me change the bulb anyway... BTW your Alameda, CA location has changed the bulb (for my other "fancy" car and taught us how to do in the future) for us a few times. Not hard once you know how and where. See my other Yelp review; 5 stars! Price - $13 to $130 depending on which bulb needs to be changed. Now, these prices do not include labor. Expensive, but usually worth it for the knowledge and service, but sadly not in this case. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 1957; NASDAQ 100 and S&P 500. You have done a GREAT job with your service program!! Well, not this location. 1993 IPO. 2023 = 6000 stores in the US and Mexico.

I usually stop at Autozone on Atlantic first but the store is small and they usually don't have everything that I need in stock. This big O store has plenty of inventory available and I found what I needed in stock. My 2001 battery terminals were starting to rust away and they had the connecting pieces I needed.

Even though they were busy at the time, I experienced great customer service from everyone. I was in and out of the store with a new battery in under 5 minutes!

I went there the other day to get windowasher fluid. I called first and the man who answered was nice enough. Like he said on the phone, they had the particular brand I wanted when I arrived at the store. I am not sure how the price compares to other brick and motar stores, but surprisingly it was way cheaper than Amazon. Similar to other reviewers expereince, the cashier who cheked me out was not that friendly nor customer service oriented, but all he had to do was take my money. So the experinece was not as bad as others complain about. This store is located in a relatively large strip mall with many other business that are busy. Consequently, you are likely to need to park far away from the store and walk over. If you live near by and just need an item or two and do not need customer service or help, then this is a great place to go. If you need help or customer service, then it might be better to try another location or a different chain.

I cross shopped autozone and advanced auto as well so i can tell you that from my experience, O'Reilly's customer service is way better than others. The employees are often more patient and polite. I always bring my oil to recycle over here, they return the oil container to me the least messy. I was even told by Autozone sometimes that their oil tank is full and can no longer take anymore oil, and sent you on your way. Never happened at O'Rilley. Of course all auto parts store get super busy, but O'Rilley employees are the least likely to give me a shitface or express their frustration on you even when they are extremely busy. Just because of this made me a returning customer always
