Size 8-12 Colossal Shrimp!!! They have it at this Location Perfect size for Tempura Shrimp, Beer Battered Fried Shrimp, Garlic Butter Shrimp, Shrimp Pasta, Shrimp Kabob, Shrimp & Lobster Ravioli, etc.... Can't find any Other Grocery stores carrying Colossal size Shrimp. Costco carries size 16/20 Jumbo, Aldi, and Food 4 Less and a few Others, but it's challenging trying to find Colossal size

Generally good store. Good selection as usual, but I feel like other smart and finals have a wider selection. It can get a little crowded sometimes but they usually are well-staffed. Generally all the workers are very friendly and courteous.

I am always a bit hesitant about going to new stores due to the staff and often selection. This store was clean and well maintained, stocked, friendly. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable about where to find things. I loved my quick shopping trip with my son due to my awesome cashier Emiliano. He was polite, engaging with my son and I. My son actually enjoyed our shopping trip due to the conversation with this great person. He asked if we could come back tomorrow. For a grocer it reminded me of those customer service that you get in other places where it's a a small mom and pop shop. Personally they're a gem.

It's a nice store over all but the cashier that helped me was rude and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Her tone through the transaction was very of putting Im not likely to return.

I’m only giving it a two star review due to the long lines checking out. Takes forever. They had like 10 checkouts stands yet only one or two or open at any given time. No self checkout!!! Just the other day I spent 5 mins finding what I needed and 20+ minutes checking out sometimes longer. Ugh ?

Kyle the cashier has absolutely no sense of urgency it is almost laughable. A woman he was checking out forgot something and he allowed her to leave the line for 3 minutes to look for something she forgot. Holding up the entire line which shouldn't be allowed. The person immediately after didn't want their change so he proceeded to walk around to the other side of the counter and drop the coins into the donation bin one by one.... All the while with a HUGE line of people waiting to be checked out. Then, he realized he ran out of bags so he slowly walked away to get more and took his sweet time making sure the stack was hooked onto the holder just right. On top of all that he was sooooo slow ringing up and bagging each item.. all the other lines moved 10x quicker - not even exaggerating. If you visit this store, do yourself a favor and AVOID KYLE'S LINE AT ALL COSTS (unless you an extra hour to spare). Management needs to pull this guy from cashier duty.

Two things you can always count on from Smart & Final Extra in Alhambra: 1. Unprofessional cashiers 2. Moldy fruit Everytime I walk in to buy any type of berries they are always moldy. I have pointed it out to the employees several times and they just leave them out there. The cashiers are so unprofessional. One of the male cashiers (tall/big guy) is always talking about personal stuff and using inappropriate language. When he is off the clock he will stay there and talk with the cashier on duty and it really slows down the already long lines. A female cashier with long hair will help someone check out, then get on her phone for 2-3 minutes and start texting while we are all waiting. Then she will help another person check out then get back on her phone for another 2-3 minutes and start texting. It's really embarrassing how unprofessional so many of the cashiers are. I have been in line with my children while they are cussing and being so unprofessional. I have lived in Alhambra for over 30 years, I have finally given up on this market and have encouraged family and friends to do the same.

Although I usually visited the plaza for Ten Ren Tea, I recently decided to give Smart and Final a try to purchase frozen hash browns. It comes in a bigger pack than Trader Joe's. The store is compact, and they had all the essential items, and everything was well-organized and easy to locate. The cashier provided fast, efficient, and friendly service. If I ever need snacks or hash browns again, I would definitely consider shopping here.

I think of Smart and Final as a smaller Costco, sure things on average cost more her, but not by much, especially if you're considering not buying huge, sometimes unnecessary wasteful goods bulked together. I like the fact that Smart and Final have fresh produce like green onions, cilantro, spicy peppers, all the things that Costco doesn't offer. Which is a shame because these are the things, I'd like to buy in bulk at Costco for Costco pricing, but Costco sells things like onions, potatoes, bell peppers and sweet potatoes in huge unusable bulk. I wish it was the other way around. Lol. I did notice that the meat is not as fresh and is about 30% more in pricing. That also applies to their bread and baked goods. That could make a difference if you're on a budget. But good news, the alcohol is almost the same price, so if you do self checkout at Costco to avoid the huge lines, and couldn't get the alcohol, you can pick up some and get some green onions too at Smart and Final, and avoid the crazy busy, busy lines at Costco. That's what I do! Haha!

I absolutely love this place! Clean store friendly staff with cleanliness everywhere. Basically, it is a mini cosco without the membership price, huge packages, and bulk for saving. Beer, whine, and fresh produce. It's sad that we don't have these in Colorado.I definitely recommend visiting this market.

I really appreciate to the workers here for their work ethic and honesty. My girl friend and I went to this location two days ago and she forgot her wallet after she pay for our groceries. Today we found out her wallet was missing and we came back to the store to look for it. To our surprise they found our wallet and kept it for 2 days. I want to thanks everyone here foe their hard work and honesty especially to the girl on the last cashier who I'm sorry didn't catch your name. This is a great place to shop for groceries and I truly recommend people coming here. Thank you.

Picked up some sweets and snacks for my back from vacation co-workers. One of the pieces was a value pack chips, kinda boxy. While the weather was down pouring outside, as a matter rained for days already, I’d like to keep the packaging dry and neat, and asked if they had a bigger bag, paper towel, even flier or newspaper to protect the box from being wet. This staff member at the register with eyeglasses, might be bleached blonde, and housewife like, kept responding no, no, no, like an auto piolet or a zombie with a fake smile and condecending look. Guess she might be under holiday blue or hating her job!At the end, I asked for two bags to cover the top and bottom of the box and got the heck out of there in no time!

What an amazing location in Alhambra! I usually shop here every week and every time it's always amazing. Produce looked nice and fresh. Shopping in general was pleasant because everything was well stocked. Checking out was great too. Sundays are always busy but even that was still great experience. Happy always shopping here all because of the great team running this place!
