I got married at Wedgewood Aliso Viejo on 4/21/23. Overall I had a beautiful wedding, but I was disappointed with the care that the venue took on our day.
Here’s some things I wish I had known before I booked:
1. You don’t get to taste your food choices before your wedding. They had a “tasting event” in which you got to try 3 out of there around 15 food options. The food was edible, but not great, and I would have chosen differently if I got to taste the options I was interested in
2. If you are doing a plated meal, you don’t get to give your guests a choice, they put two meal choices on everyone’s plate which is bizarre. It would have been fine if I would have been told about this before the week of my wedding,
3. The officiant did not attend our rehearsal, which resulted in tons of issues and confusion during our ceremony which was incredibly disappointing. This is also something that is not normal that was not communicated until the last minute.
4. We booked about a year and a half in advance and we NEVER communicated with the same person twice. This resulted in the ball being dropped more than once. We got to our final meeting a week before and they hadn’t recorded any of our meal choices. They also didn’t give us the uplighting we had paid for the day of our wedding. I understand turnover, but there was no effort to have us meet with the same person. I think most people would be more comfortable meeting their wedding coordinator before their rehearsal.
5. You cannot take pictures on the golf course, this is understandable, but I’m not sure why they would not communicate that before my wedding day.
The vendors they provided were great, especially the florist and the bakery for the cake. Overall it was pretty affordable compared to other venues and it was nice to have everything included. Communication on the venues part was the thing that disappointed me the most.
Just wanted to post this as I know this information would have been helpful to me before I had booked.

I photographed a wedding here last year and it was STUNNING! The venue was so amazing to work with, the staff was so friendly and welcoming! I was blown away with how helpful they were to me and the guests. I suggest this venue to all my clients, can't wait to photograph another wedding here soon!!

As a wedding photographer I have had the pleasure of shooting many weddings at Aliso Viejo by Wedgewood Weddings. This venue has been very special and a favorite among my past couples who married in South Orange County. The inside ballroom area and entrance are elegant and spacious. The layout is perfect with a large dance floor in the middle of the inside ballroom while also having plent of outdoor civered patio area for a large bar and cocktail hour atmosphere. Outside there are 2 areas you can choose from to have your ceremony. Both offer a very aesthetically pleasing backdrop for weddings. You really cannot go wrong with either choice. The garden areas are also nice for those beautiful romantic couple photos as well. The golf course backdrop behind the venue really adds to the country club feel of the venue. One of the nicest features is the large rooms they have for the bride and groom to prep for the wedding day. Both are spacious and ;aid out very well for wedding prep. The staff is also very attentive and helpful. Overall I highly recommend this venue for couples looking to get married in South Orange County.

Beautiful wedding venue and picturesque back patio overlooking a golf course with rolling hills. Would definitely recommend to any engaged couple looking for a nice venue in the OC.

My husband and I got married here on November 4, 2023 and the process with this venue and their wedding "experts" have been quite the journey to say the least. Starting from receiving incorrect information on multiple things during our tour on Oct 2022 that we later found out in July of 2023, when the majority of the planning had already been completed. Then being in communication with different wedding "experts" every-time I sent an email or text led to many things not being noted for our wedding and having to repeat myself on various occasions. Ultimately, I had to get the manager, Natalie involved since I kept receiving conflicting information, nothing was getting resolved and there was a lot of miscommunication with their wedding "experts." Natalie was amazing as she assisted in trying to resolve all the concerns I had, which is why I'm giving this 3 stars or else it would've been 0 if I could. Our day of coordinator was Miranda and I went over details with her in great length and even provided a wedding binder of everything. Come the wedding day, we ran into some mishaps that should've been avoided since everything was covered. To name a few, the number of chairs for the ceremony was not correct, our cake table was missing decor that was agreed upon, we were missing reserved signage in the front 2 rows for the wedding party and family, our guests had to ask for their dinner because some of them got missed by the staff and our vendors were NOT fed dinner even though we paid for it. I was reassured by both Miranda and Natalie everything would be taken care of, but this was not the case. I would've came earlier on my wedding day to ENSURE everything that was agreed upon was done so I didn't have to experience this. Had we have known how stressful and disappointing this whole experience would've been, we most definitely would've booked our special day with another venue, considering we had over 200+ guests.

We booked Wedgewood Weddings at Aliso Viejo for our wedding reception and our wedding day turned out wonderful. What was great was the all inclusive package they were offering, the beautiful spaces including the ceremony site and also the groom and bridal rooms that were available to us the whole night. We did forgo some options that were included in the package such as the DJ, and some of the decor and brought other vendors that saved us money and also would bring more energy to our party. We had a friend that attended a wedgewood wedding that influenced us to make such a decision and it worked out better. We took a tour of the venue with Ashley who was very welcoming. The patio and ballroom areas were large and nice for a party of about 100-200 guests. The patio had an amazing view of the golf course and the inside was really nice and clean to our liking. The planning process with the WW team was pretty smooth but there were some small bumps along the way. Nothing too stressful just timing with other vendors would come up at the wrong WW scheduled times which wedding planning is never perfect no matter how ready anyone is.Our day of coordinator Alyssa who was also our planning leader was very nice and easy to work with. I will say she did give a different vibe than Ashley when we took the tour but she made the wedding venue very beautiful and exactly how we envisioned it during our planning process. She along with the banquet crew were very enthusiastic to work with.Overall we would choose Wedgewood Weddings at Aliso Viejo again since everything came together so well.

My wife and I were part of a wedding party for close friends who planned/held their wedding at Aliso Viejo. The venue itself was beautiful, the food was good, and the staff was helpful. The "alcoholic" drinks seemed extremely watered down however. Many of the people at the wedding don't drink frequently, but almost everyone agreed that we barely tasted/felt any alcohol after 10+ drinks each. Overall the staff seemed very limiting with drinks - everyone received the smallest pour of champagne possible for the toasts, no outside drinks we allowed, and we were asked by the bartenders to slow down how often we could get drinks from the open bar.We had heard that this might be due to the venue having bad experiences with previous parties in the past, but it was disappointing for the bride and groom and many of the attendees if this was intentional due to trust. Maybe requiring a larger deposit could help mitigate this risk without impacting parties with responsible guests.

When it came to our dream wedding, we knew we wanted to get married in California and have a destination wedding (we live in Illinois). Aliso Viejo by Wedgewood Weddings was the first and only venue we visited back in June 2022. We just knew it was meant to be. There were many reasons why we chose Aliso Viejo by Wedgewood Weddings: Everything was included and changeable, the property is beautiful, and the staff was so helpful from the start. It made wedding planning less stressful, especially for someone who was doing a destination wedding. In our package, we included the DJ and the officiant. Fredy from dj Maestro and Pastor Stan really took their time to get to know us and they both did absolutely AMAZING.If you are looking for a stress-free, affordable, and beautiful wedding, I recommend Aliso Viejo by Wedgewood Weddings.
