Do not bring your pets here!My kitten almost died by vaccinations and the Dr. who saw my adult cat for constipation didn't even want to answer a question I had as she was "too busy" and on the phone.Disappointed with Dr. Candeletta and Dr. Giahi and their vet tech staff.Avoid this place.I'm actually going to the board to file a complaint of negligence.I already contacted their corporate office and i filed a complaint. Never heard back.I'm never returning my pets here and I don't want nothing to do with this hospital! And NO I will not waste my time writing you an email at Banfield cares because Banfield doesn't care. I already called corporate and they didn't even bother!

After I left my first review, Lisa R., a customer service representative from Banfield, responded and asked me to email my information for further follow-up. I sent all the requiredinformation, but it has been almost a month and I have not received any response. It seems they are only pretending to care in front of the public, as their lack of action shows otherwise.

I felt really compelled to leave a review for this particular Banfield location inside Petsmart in Aliso Viejo. I have always had a very good experience with the staff and never felt like they were trying to sell me everything under the sun, so great job to all the guys and gals who work at the front. The real review I wanted to leave was for Dr. Shahrooz Khamenehli who everyone refers to as Dr. KEvery time I have had to bring my dog in he spent a very generous amount of time talking with me about my dogs health. There is no sales pitch or pressure to do a bunch of diagnostics like I have seen at so many other Vets. Dr. K is the best! Very knowledgeable, explains things well and never tries to talk me into doing unnecessary procedures. He comes across very honest, sincere and has excellent bedside manner. I really trust him and I highly recommend him. Five stars for Dr. K

I stood for over ten minutes patiently waiting while a Blonde young woman at the front desk completely ignored me and my dog while she went on and on to people who had a lukewarm interest in puppy packages, took phone calls, etc. When I finally had enough with my dog's wiggling in my arms and the woman's refusal to even acknowledge my existence, I politely stepped in and asked about her recommendation for a good flea medication for our area. She refused to even help me and just said "I don't even know what they sell here so I can't even help you." Major Waste of time. They're a veterinarian clinic--why the snotty attitude?? From the moment I stopped to patiently wait to the unhelpful answer to my question, I was treated as if my business did not matter. Further yet, that it was unwelcome. I understand hiring these younger kids to run a front office, but train them in customer service so they don't lord over your female customers with their "mean girl attitudes.

I have always taken my dogs over the years to the best veterinarians I could find. When my eight yrs. old Shih Tzu MeiLing needed a vaccine quickly her doctor was not able to see her in time. I took her too Banfield Pet Smart where Dani who groomers her is. Mei Ling cried when I touched her sides. She did not want to be picked up. Her doctors office did not have anything open for a week! I called Banfield got her an appointment that morning.I'm happy to report there's a new veterinarian in town!! (at least one I never met before) His name is Dr. Shahrooz Khamenenehli. He spent so much time with MeiLing, uncovering what was causing her discomfort. And explaining it to me as well. He is now MeiLing's primary doctor and I feel confident in placing her health in his hands.Special thanks to the caring staff, Donya & Shannon!BANFIELD PET HOSPITAL: FIND MORE DOCTORS & STAFF LIKE THIS!!!

Stay away, scammers, thief, they are scamming the Costa Mesa people making you sign on a credit card machine a contract that literally they DO NOT SHOW YOU, they DO NOT EXPLAIN YOU, and they catch you for years on a monthly membership that is complete useless. When you go to complain, they laugh on your face, and they write on a piece of paper a corporate phone number, good luck trying to reach someone there,, when you finally get someone they tell you that you sign a contract and they will still charging you the time they want.. THIS IS A SCAM, THEY STEALING MONEY PLAYING with your lovely pet, doing BAD BUSINESSES, UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL, EVERYTHING WHAT IS BAD ON BUSINESSES!! EVERY TIME I WENT THERE WERE OTHER CUSTOMERS YELLING, COMPLAINING, for bad treatment, for money problems, PLEASE DO NOT FALL ON THIS THIEF HANDS, find a real vet for your loved friends! This is a BAD PLACE!

When you take your healthy pet in for a routine dental procedure (or any other for that matter) ask if an anesthesiologist will be present. Apparently one was not present when my cat cocoa was having a tooth extraction. Cocoa suffered severe brain damage as a result of low oxygen during the surgery, he lived another absolutely miserable year before we had to put him to sleep. Cocoa was such a good kitty with the potential for many more happy years on this earth, the way he left was traumatic for everyone to say the least…RIP Cocoa Glenn

Went to the Aliso Creek Banfield for the second time since moving to the area. I asked the front desk clerk (Kayla) for 1 dose of the First Shield Trio for my dog Max. My dog Max is 12 yrs old & has been getting this flea, tick & mosquito protectant since he was 1 or 2yrs old. No one at any Banfield location has EVER told me Max needed a yearly physical in order for me to purchase, until today...SMH. Kayla decided to make me wait at the counter while she walked to the back & "checked with the lead" to make sure Max didn't need a physical (it was a long wait, just to be asking this question). I already tried explaining to this girl that no physical has ever been needed, but she insisted. She came back with the trio, but I did not purchase. Her energy and customer service was horrible. I will definitely not be returning to this location.

I am so grateful that I met Dr. Khamenehli in Banfeild pet hospital. He has always been so patient with all my questions about my dog.He has such a kind heart for animals and so knowledgeable. I have had several appointments with him for my dog and every time he was so patient and explain everything in detail for us. I so appreciate his full attention to his patients and owners. Dr. Greenberg, Staff and Management in charge, We are very angry and disappointed at the level of care our cat Lilly has received in your "vet tech" mill. The lack of skills, lack of care and empathy shown has resulted in injuries to our cat. We brought her in for an exam for an eye infection and constipation on Tuesday afternoon July 26th. Lilly was doing well prior to bringing her in, active, walking, eating, etc. After blood work, the attending veterinarian, Dr Greenberg, recommended that we bring her in the following day for subcutaneous fluids to help with her ongoing kidney issues. We also received eye ointment which had instructions to "only give by mouth", another indicator of the lack of attention and care shown by your front desk. We brought her in Wednesday morning July 27th, she spent the day there and I picked her up Wednesday evening. Dr Greenberg explained she had a small accident, and tipped over her litter box, so they had cleaned her up a bit. Dr Greenberg recommended one more day of subcutaneous fluids, which we agreed to. Upon bringing her home, our cat could no longer walk, and was in pain. It seems that the "accident" Lilly had was due to gross negligence while in your care. Two of her rear toe nails were ripped out to the quick. Please see the attached pictures and more videos can be be accessed here: drive.google.com/drive/f… We will be halting payment for the last three days to your establishment, and will be taking Lilly to a more reputable and caring facility. The decline of Banfield from a viable veterinarian option to a sub par "vet tech mill" has been painfully obvious over the last 18 months, and this is the final indignation. Additional notes: When I picked Lilly up on 7/28, I told Dr Greenberg and her assistant standing next to her that Lilly could not walk ever since they notified me of her small "accident" that happened while there at Banfield on 7/27. She responded, "We did not notice she could not walk...she slept all day...take a video when you get home and send it to us". Lilly is still unable to stand or walk as of 7/31. We will be taking her to another animal hospital to find out the extent of her injuries caused while at the Banfield, Aliso Viejo location.
