So far, so good! I can tell my kid is learning, and that's the main point. I feel like this location stands out a bit better than others, in terms of the staff and leadership, but that is just a thought based on context clues.

My daughter has been coming for about 6 months and her confidence in math has skyrocketed! She's going into 5th grade and used to really struggle with Math homework and over-stress before exams. Even though she wasn't necessarily getting bad grades in math, she felt very intimidated by the subject and couldn't carry out her homework independently. When she started coming to Mathnasium, I noticed a quick positive change in her ability to approach math with the confidence that she can find an answer. The staff is very supportive and encouraging. The director, Michael, always greets her with a big smile and warm energy. This has been an awesome resource and I'm so grateful to have found this wonderful team!

I have two sons who go to Mathnasium, I would highly recommend their program. 1- their approach guarantees the child learns and is capable of math's foundations 2- after the foundation is learned- they build on the child's ability at the child's pace. One of my children learns differently than those of his peers. Even with this difference he is able to grasp the concepts and continue on his math journey. We have seen confidence building and now enjoyment of learning.I would highly recommend learning more about the program and having your child visit the center to experience the program.I will close with saying if you are looking for a "quick fix" this may not be your solution. The idea is that the child learns and accesses the foundations- and with that takes time.

I started seeing improvement within the first two weeks that we started. My daughter’s confidence started showing. She is always excited to go to the center. I love how there is a reward system and she is always talking about how she is saving up for the Pokémon cards. The staff at the center is really nice and always very helpful. I am happy we took this step to enroll her here. Thank you.

The instruction and program at Mathnasium has been a life saver. My daughter has gone from a fear and hatred of math to a real excitement and competence in the subject. She'd rather do math there than at school where math is not taught in an exciting or tangible way. We need more Mathnasium in the world and I highly highly recommend the program!

This is a great place for those struggling with Mathematics, or those that love Mathematics so much, that they want to immerse themselves in this even more. My son who just loves Mathematics, attended here and benefited from being immersed in Mathematics here. The staff is great! I highly recommend this as an incredible benefit for your little one.

Awesome instructors and very attentive management. I have been taking my daughter for the last four years and have tried several different branches and Alta Dena branch has proven to be superior by far.

When we started at Mathnasium, my then-fourth grader was at a school where we knew the curriculum did not emphasize content for standardized tests. We had heard positive things about Mathnasium from several friends, so we sent our child here. When he started, he was in the middle of 4th grade (during the distance learning year of the pandemic, Feb 2021) and Mathnasium assessed his starting level as late 3rd grade, early 4th grade. Six months later, he was testing at the late fifth grade, early 6th grade level. In short, his results were incredible. We did send him very consistently 3x per week, and we did have to help keep him motivated, but for the most part, he was happy to attend the sessions. He is a naturally quick learner, and Mathnasium capitalized on that for us big time. I greatly appreciated the good communication and feedback on his progress, as well as the professionalism and kindness of the director and the tutors.

My kids love attending, all of the tutors are super friendly and professional, I love that it is real in-person instruction and it is not just rote memorization (one of my kids attended Kumon for a year and it was not engaging at all). They like that they can earn prizes and there are things to keep it interesting- like the problem of the week and other fun activities. I can see this being a long-term enrichment activity since they don’t mind attending.

I am so happy that I found Mathnasium. My son’s school is really focusing on writing in English but he loves math and Mathnasium has allowed him to be challenged and learn more. He gets to experience the learning he loves the most with a great staff which as a parent makes me extremely happy.

The crew at Mathnasium of Altadena has given my daughter back her confidence in her ability to understand mathematical concepts. Hearing her come home from school and say "that was easy" = priceless! UPDATE 2: She is understanding her high school Statistics better than I ever did, and she is motivated to learn math. She just earned a major prize at Mathnasium that she is very proud of, and her drive to do well is continuing; in other words, it isn't about the prize, it's about the learning. This program is time well used.
