Pharmacy "takeouts" are busier than The Golden Arches during the national Dollar meal days. Pharmacy Techs are constantly in motion, of service to the Pharmacist (s) , the telephone, general public in search of their script refill, and let's not forget the Techs have to be on the phone with insurance providers while dealing with all of the above aforementioned. Translation, not an easy place of employment.Special shout out to Randy who as far as our interaction with her she is always cheerful, helpful, courteous, and thoughtful. Thank you Randy

The pharmacy never has any medication in stock. The pharmacist are no help and offer no solutions to the problem. I had surgery went to get the pain medication they said they don't have it and "may" have it the next day after 2pm. I asked if I can pick it up at a different pharmacy they said they couldn't help me with that and suggested I wait till the next day and check with them. Albeit I'm in pain from a fracture surgery. Please stay away from them with your medications for they are very unprofessional and have no concerns for their customers.

Treated so rudely at the pharmacy, I had to comment. Something is wrong with this picture. The girl with pinkish hair was so cruel when I was slow to recall a pertinent fact, that it occurred to me that management must be treating employees in a similar fashion. In addition, pharmacist giving me the vaccine looked miserable - would not smile or offer even a hint of kindness. Very sour faces for these two pharmacy employees. Toxic work environment is my guess.

This rite-aid is the best pharmacy in our immediate vicinity. Great customer service by their staff. Amazingly accommodating especially great at helping me maximize GoodRx and manufacturers discounts. I've been in healthcare for thirty years and called on hundreds of Phamacies. This group is at the top of the charts.

This pharmacy is awful! Very unprofessional, the pharmacy technicians are extremely rude and no understanding of customer service. Also very slow, always have to wait even if there is not a line, the staff ignores you. Don't dare ask a question, it is an imposition and their demeanor reflects it. The pharmacist appears to condone this behavior. Based on the employees conduct, the cultural at this location is not the customer service friendly; no interactive skills, not courteous, impatient, which should be a requirement working in a pharmacy. Overall bad customer service!

My wife had a vaccine shot last week and was told on the phone and by a pharmacist in store that she should come in after 1pm as there are two pharmacists available and the shot can be administered quickly. She did go and get her shot. Fast forward to yesterday...it was 1:27pm when we both went for my vaccination. The woman told us that they do not give shots from 1pm-3pm...completly contradictory to last weeks information. I understand things change but she started to berate us and twice addressed us with "NO NO NO NO NO". I stoped her and told her she was extremely rude and treating us as if we are making things up. She told me "Who told you this" I said the pharmacist. "Well we're all on the same page here". To say that she was rude and condescending would be an understatement. Who allows someone like that to work there? We Called Riteaid on Washington and Allen and they said come on in. What a different atmosphere. Welcoming, cordial and respectful.I'll never go back to Altadena RiteAid, even though we live within a mile.

Good clean store. The quick and easy go to store in the area if I forgotten to buy something from the other super markets.

If I could give a lower rating than 1, I certainly would. I've gone to this location in the past and had bad experiences each time. I usually only went there because of their proximity to my own home and the hours that they were open (I had a couple of late night emergencies/needs) but after today, I'll never go here again. The clerk at the register was quite rude and condescending, not to mention very pushy. She was an (well maybe) older lady with short hair. She was very unprofessional. I just left what would have been my purchase on the counter and walked out because of her attitude. Another reason I won't go here ever again is that their prices for similar products are too high compared with say, CVS. I usually use CVS but once again, I had only come to this site because of it's proximity for my immediate purchase needs. But this time was the Last time, closeness/nearness be darned. To be clear, this is referencing the site at the intersection of Lake Ave. X Altadena Dr.

First off I need to explain the scenario:This store is NOT my regular store. I came to pick up an on-line order. 1. This one is strictly on principle: I was arbitrarily charged the 10 cent bag fee that I didn't need or request by the system. I didn't even need one because it was only two bottles of supplements. I am not extreme about recycling but I am eco conscientious. I carry in my shopping bags and try to recycle. I will absolutely pay the 10 cents fee to purchase a bag IF I need it.Who ever pulled the order out it into a bag.2. I refused to take the bag and contribute more waste so I told them that I wanted the fee refunded and I don't want the bag. The poor guy who checked me out seems new but Rafaela (sp), another cashier basically told me it is what it is and that I selected it when I made the order. I told her I did no such thing and I refuse to pay for it on principle. She finally admitted that it was their "system" and told the guy to give me 10 cents (I decided to buy a small hand sanitizer - impulse buy while I was in line) She don't even try to be courteous, not a bit of customer service. 3. It's a good thing I insisted on not taking the bag because I only got one item instead of the two that I ordered. It took two calls to someone (manager or assistant manager) to get her to the front. It took another few minutes to figure out something on a handheld, but she finally went back and got me my other item.
