“I'm getting ready to check out of my week long stay and thought I would take a second to give a positive and well earned review. If you are ever in Alturas, give the Super 8 a try. Jimmy at the front desk is very kind and I felt welcomed the moment I checked in. Jose (maintenance) offered to help me with all of my luggage and quickly swapped out fridges when he noticed the freezer was slightly frozen over. He was so friendly and helpful. My room was clean, the bed was super comfy and I felt safe during my stay here. I look forward to staying here again when I come through Alturas again!”

“Best hotel in Alturas!Friendly sign in, clean rooms, beautiful biscuits and gravy breakfast ? and wi fi!We love coming here often to get away from the off grid lifestyle where we live an hour away in the mountains. The hotel has a warm family friendly environment that we love and we will naturally be returning here often for our daycations.Rooms: Clean rooms, beautiful bathrooms, hair dryer in every bathroom. As well as coffee maker and iron if needed.Nearby activities: Camping, swimming in summer, bird watching, hiking trails,Safety: Feels very safeWalkability: Walking to a convenience store across the street and library and book stores several blocks away. Laundrymat is also across the street.Food & drinks: The breakfast is top notch”

“I got stuck in this gem of a town because of lingering auto issues. it was going to take an unknown number of days to fix my Jeep so the owner, a wonderful lady, left my account open until I was leaving. she even allowed me to stay a little past checkout without charging an extra days stay As they finished with my vehicle. wonderful stay with a nice restaurant on the premises. she owns that too.”
