For my 600th review on Yelp, I wanted to ensure I wrote about something special. I couldn't think of any place more special than Walt Disney's Apartment in Disneyland right above the Disney Fire Station. As a kiddo, I always pointed to the lamp and as I grew up I always dreamed of visiting. For years, my friends and family never wanted to splurge on paying for a tour to see this as part of the tour. Finally, I decided to treat myself for Valentine's Day and went solo. Walt's Mainstreet Story is a beautiful guided tour with lots of history, and most importantly, access to Walt's Apartment! For the first time in 2023, they started to allow guests on the patio which was truly magical as well. I'll never forget the magic of being there, and cannot recommend doing the tour enough!!!

Great little shop with all things Disney for your home. From kitchen items to ornaments for you disney tree… This place has it all. They have recently increased their art collection inside to provide more wall decor. Every holiday season, this place comes alive with various options for holiday themed Disney magic decor. They also have small assortment of mugs, water bottles, tumblers, home art decor and more. A great place to find those must-have Disney home items to bring the magic home with you for daily Disney love…

Walt Disney's apartment is only available to see if you take the Walt Main Street story tour-(reviewed separately). Most people book that tour just for the opportunity to see the small apartment. Photography is not allowed however, as part of your tour package photopass photographers are on hand to take your picture in certain areas of the apartment. This is where Walt Disney lived to avoid the long commute back and forth from his studios in Burbank. The apartment is a recreation of how it had looked and you only have a couple of seats you may sit in. Walt's wife Lillian was a lover of roses and antiques and the entire apartment is adorned with them. The apartment is very small and their sofas converted into their beds. There is a tiny kitchen with appliances. In the back area is a cemented floor where there used to be a fire pole. Since this apartment is built over the fire station, there was once a long fire pole that extended all the way down. Once when a curious boy climbed up on it and saw Walt Disney that was the end of the fire pole. The bathroom area is in the back as well. Perhaps the most notable piece is the round lamp that stays on perpetually to signify Walt's memory and his overlooking his theme park that he sought to bring much joy into the lives of others. There is also an outdoor balcony porch area for relaxation. Walt had many toys here for his grandchildren who would often visit and stay here. It's truly amazing to think that he had a special private dwelling for the ones he loved. Even one of the original Mouseketeers was in the apartment when Disneyland opened in 1955. This is a must see if you truly were a fan of Walt Disney. Taking the tour is pricey but the stories you learn are amazing! Located above the fire station on Main St USA in Disneyland, this area is considered part of the backstage.

Nice staff at this store considering how busy they were and just how packed that place gets. It's a small spot so it doesn't take much to fill it up. They have most of the home goods you would find in the park and a few that were out of stock in other locations. Plus it's much easier to get those items and get out than getting through World of Disney.

Walt Disney spent a lot of time in Disneyland in the early days. So much so that he had an apartment built above the fire house at the start of Main Street. It was a place that he and his wife could stay and even entertain the family. It was a place that he could rest his head and gaze down upon his magocal creation and the guests who would come from around the world to experience. In the 60+ years since those early days, not much has changed in the apartment. It is still decorated very much as it was when it was new. Some of the toys are new stock. And the lamp in the window has been changed a few times. But it still feels very much authentic. A place where Walt would still feel very much at home. You too can get a taste of the high life and a glimpse of the past. The apartment not just open to everyone as a walk through. This aint no Sleeping Beauty's Castle, after all. This is a relic. A private museum of Disney memorabilia. If you want to visit then expect to pay. Disneyland offers tours from time to time for an extra charge. I most recently opted for the Walt's Main Street tour during whoch our small group of three were guided up and down Main Street and given some historic insight about what went into the design. We then made our way to the apartment. We were taken back stage and led up a very industrial looking stair case and into the 500 square foot apartment. It was a moving experience and one could almost sense Mr. Disney's spirit there. It was remarkable. I would have loved to have taken pictures of my own in the apartment but it is strictly prohibited. They tend to frown upon photos being taken back stage. However, a Disney photographer does come in to take a photo of you inside the apartememt. So at least there is some photographic evidence of the experience. When memory fades, look back to your photo to relive the magic again.

I bought my 76th pair of leggings here for $49 dollars... I love them... But I'm afraid they're too big. I've never been to Disney in my entire 35 years of life and bought myself one thing... Please, Disney have mercy and send me extra small leggings that are blue and say .... "Disney"..... Please. I beg. They are my favorite not can not keep them up!!!! Please!!!! ????

Absolutely terrible service from Steven, their team lead. Refusing to sell me a collar on display that they don’t have inventory on. Why display a non stocked item & why not sell it to make a customer happy. He kept coming up with excuses to not sell it to me. Telling me it was damaged without actually bringing it off the shelf. Telling me it’s too busy to get a ladder, I could reach it just fine without. Then saying they don’t “really” sell display. Completely absurd to refuse money for your business to make a customer happy.
