The Downtown Disney District offers an atmosphere full of Disney spirit with unique eateries, upscale shops, and exciting entertainment for guests of all ages. It features a great selection of restaurants and stores, including fantastic pizza and pasta at Naples and vegan options at a Mexican grill. The area is decorated nicely for holidays and provides wonderful shopping at the end of a park day, including one of the largest stores in the resort. Visitors should note that weekends can be crazy busy with packed restaurants, and some find it easier to order food in the park or elsewhere. While the shopping is extensive, some guests report very few nostalgic Disney items for certain characters. Additionally, the previous AMC theater has moved a couple of blocks away, and the parking lot directions can be confusing, with a suggestion for a shuttle. Despite these points, it remains a great time with lots of options and live entertainment.
