DROID DOES!Okay that may be an old school slogan for Verizon Wireless, but it's still applicable here I think lol Because this Droid Depot does what it is meant to! You can build your very own (cute, little, baby) droid robot! It moves, lights up and makes noise and everything. How freaking cool is that!!!! It's super customizable in that you can pick what colors you want and some shapes of the types of hardware (I think the pieces are called that lol), and build away! You can't beat that for $100! Pretty good price if you ask me. The inside of the droid depot is fun to see, because there are parts going around on conveyor belts and fully built droids too for inspiration!

My family had come at 7:30pm on Monday and did not realize there were suggested reservations. I checked the reservations and there was one available 30 minutes later. There were 2 guests who came while we were in the "stand-by" line. We waited apx 15 minutes.I opted for the basic $99.99 droid. My son was excited to pick his droid parts; the CM was helpful spot checking his parts were complimentary to each other. Depending on the leg length you may need the extender, etc.The next station is where you will assemble and use a low power electric screwdriver to assemble the legs. Great for kids! The CM brings the droid to life and will pack it into what I dubbed the Build-A-Bear box. Overall great one of a kind experience. No cast discounts BUT if you have a pass, there are discounts available!

You can customize your own droid with reservation here. Super fun and the droid fits in a checked bag. Three options of droids you can build.

Pricey, but well worth it. Great time with the family. Galaxy's Edge was my favorite part of Disney. It wasn't that busy compared to the rest of the park.

My son's first to to Disneyland, we are big Star Wars fans so we splurged and got the build your own droid package with the backpack and personality chip, there was no wait and barely anyone there at around 11 am on a Saturday. The crew was awesome helping my 6 year old build his droid. Definitely made his first trip a great experience!

Honestly so disappointed with the staff at this place. Me and my boyfriend came here on Saturday, were rushed the entire time and not given info on things like attachments that could come with our droids or the fact that bb8 was magnetic etc that definitely would have changed our decision making. We made such expensive purchases and it’s bitterly disappointing considering that.

The Droid Depot was another fun experience at Star Wars Galaxy Edge. The kids got to pick out a droid to build and it was a nice experience. It is kind of pricey. The experience here is much different than the lightsaber build. You walk up right into the shop. At the time we visited, reservations were needed. The cast members are there for build assistance. There isn't a storyline or presentation like with the lightsabers, which was kind of a letdown.Overall, it was enjoyable.

Dropped in here with no reservations, no wait to do, cost about $107 with taxes to build a droid. $99.99 but they do have a more expensive option that comes with extras for like $175ish. After you build it it comes with a neat box. You can leave it here if you don't wanna carry it around all day with droid day care.

My children were very excited to do this experience. The Droid customisation is wonderful. Very expensive endeverafter though after already paying so much to get into the park, food and the additional fees for the lighting line pass.On two separate occasions the Droid body was broken and did not function properly. Cheap parts perhaps. I paid the additional fee for the personality chip. When our droid body had to be replaced. I reminded the story employee to move the chip from the old bots to the replacement. He assured he had on multiple occasions. This was not done. I am just a teacher and saved up to give this to my children. spending a lot of hard earned money.Very disappointing experience. I don't plan to return to Disney parks anytime soon, fee ripped off. Probably will be many years before I give them another try. My family and I have had a better overall experience at Universal studios and Knott's berry farms. For many years.

The droid depot was one of the most creative and unique theme park souvenir shops you’ll ever go to. You can fully assemble and bring to life your very own droid friend well, picking out a number of accessories and even different voices. I decided not to pick my own but to actually get the remote controlled R2-D2 from my favorite Star Wars films. I upgraded him by purchasing a tow cable which attaches to his back and also upgraded his dome which is now metal and has extra lights in the back of his head. He rolls beautifully along our hardwood floors, and the kids really enjoy driving both of our droids around the house.
