Short story long. Away on vacation. We had a friend house sitting. Returned. Gas dryer was out. 15 years old so we thought it was time to purchase a washer and dryer. Next day there was no hot water. Figured it was the hot water heater, but then learned that the Gas Co. had turned off the gas because they saw something odd. Looked and saw that the house sitter had left the barbecue on. When the Gas Co. came out they also saw that gas wasn't getting sucked through the vent and was being released back into the garage and that the furnace had a delayed ignition. All has been fixed, but I wouldn't have been aware had not the Gas Co. been paying attention and when the service man came out he checked everything and explained the additional problems. I was surprised that the Gas Co. paid that close attention and am grateful that they did.

Today I had an issue with the Gas Company. I spoke to the supervisor Ms. Kendal. She was very polite, accommodating and resolved my issue. The technician Mr. Vincent was the same, polite, accommodating & also resolved my issue. I would like to sincerely thank the both of them for "making my day"...It is hard to find people who are willing to help out and resolve an issue or problem.Thank you again;R. Davis

thank you for shutting of my gas, leaving the progerty for an emergency, returning hours later, loosen the fittings on top of the gas. metter and not tightening them sothat i had to call the plumber for your negligence.

It just goes to show what a ripoff the gas company is. My bill in March was one unit of usage higher than February yet March's bill was $120 less. I even got a $50 credit on my February bill. They sure have us over the barrel. What a scam!!

I've tried calling the gas company 2 times in the last 2 days and I've been on hold for more than an hour both times with no answer. To me this is unacceptable for a public utility company , either they need more help or it's just a bad business and we should stop giving them our taxes dollars. What do you think????

My gas doubled from one month to the next. I have done anything differently at home. I called SoCalGas for explanation. I've been on hold for over 30 minutes to speak to a representative. "All of our representatives are still busy..."

Price gouging thieves. Bill normally $50 is $130 this month after receiving a letter that they are stealing money from all their customers because they can.

This review is not based on the prices or billing, but on the service of outstanding technicians who came out to do a home inspection for potential gas leaks. I would like to commend Kevin, Brandon and Ricky for doing an exemplary job of identifying four areas of gas leaks in my residence and then ensuring that they were properly repaired before turning the gas on again. I would like to especially thank Brandon for identifying the precise location of the majority of the leaks.

Remodeling our house, so we have had a lot of interaction with socal gas. Getting everything ready to install a new kitchen, my husband went to install a valve for my gas range. No gas. Out they came, couldn't find out any reason there wasn't gas to the line. All other gas items are working. Technician said the gas company doesn't fix it, call a plumber, and until it's fixed the gas is off. It's pretty cold and we can't use our heater, and a cold shower doesn't appeal to me. Wow, and I pay double rates from just a few months ago. Can't fight a monopoly . If it can't be fixed I guess we won't have gas to our house, or if we can't afford to have it fixed, we will be freezing

I would give them zero star if possible. They came to our house and told my wife will come back less than an hour but we were waiting more than 5 hrs after they showed up. I didn't know why 2 guys came and couldn't go to the back and turn on the main gas? I called their dispatcher and asked why , dispatcher just told me bcuz they hv an emergency and they hv to leave but they will will come back same day, dispatcher didn't have an ETA .

This company is an absolute disgrace in rendering customer service. We remodeled our house adding cabana bbq equipment, pool heater and fireplaces. All we need is for SoCalGas to up our services. They say they don't render any of these "non-essential" services due to Covid and at this time, it's indefinite. It's ridiculous, beyond believe that they can't even tell you when they will start up these services again. We should have more options for gas companies. This is what happens when you have a monopoly and no competition!!! I spoke to a Ms Hudges a manager there and she's adamant that they will not help out any customer for anything else other than water heaters or emergencies. Wow!

Very disappointed in the way they handled my complaint at our shopping center clean up. Their workers came out to handle a problem at a restaurant next to us they blew all this fine sand into my parking lot I called and asked if someone would please come out and clean it up it was not my shopping center that had the issue. Three days later no one has still come out to clean it up after my complaint!!! VERY DISAppointed!!!
