“Finest gym I’ve been to. It’s my first powerlifting gym and hoping it’ll stay as my only gym membership.
The main perks of a powerlifting gym are all here: 24 hour access, multiple combo racks available for your SBD needs, and likeminded clientele that just want to lift. This means it’s almost always easy to get a lift in even during peak hours, which is diluted more than the usual commercial gyms because of the 24 hour access.
The equipment for accessories aren’t lacking either, with the owner Henry continuously procuring new machines or attachments since I’ve been here for a year now. Just about every month or so, something gets rearranged or added to the gym floor and it’s great to see membership dues going back to the gym.
The only caveat to the 24 hour access are when the gym hosts powerlifting competitions, which isn’t frequent but something to plan around as I believe currently, members are unable to lift during these events unless they’re competing since the floor space isn’t large enough to accommodate everyone. Good trade off though considering the gym isn’t closed for the entirety of the day unlike other gyms on holidays.

“I’ve been a member for a year and I love Train Insane. The best way I can describe this gym is supervised small group weightlifting classes. It’s not Crossfit and it’s not bootcamp. It’s fundamentally sound weightlifting classes centered around the four major compound barbell lifts: Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift and Overhead Strict Press. There are two coaches per class for a maximum of 20 people at a time, so you’ll always have someone available to answer any questions or correct your form. After briefing the group on the day’s exercises, every member goes to their own squat rack/bench and starts doing the work. Coaches are available to help, but it’s really up to you to keep track of your own progress and manage your time. They provide a notebook for each member and teach you how to log your workout info. Then, in the following weeks you’ll build on what you lifted last time. Over time you’ll be able to look back on what you used to lift and be amazed by your progress.Another service included in your Train Insane membership is nutrition coaching. Some of the coaches have weekly Zoom meetings with a handful of members at a time to provide personalized nutrition coaching based on each person’s goals.If you have strength or fat loss goals, Train Insane will provide you with all the tools you need to succeed. However, at the end of the day it’s up to you. If you’re hardworking, consistent, and coachable, you’ll get where you want to be.The people at Train Insane are friendly and welcoming. No gym bros here. Just people who want to put in the work. We encourage and support one another. And if you just want to keep to yourself, that’s fine too. It’s worth mentioning that most members are women (My wife really likes this. As a male, I feel perfectly comfortable and welcome too).If you are interested in weightlifting but don’t know how to get started this is the gym for you.If you are interested in weightlifting but have a history of injury this is the gym for you. (I had a back injury when I signed up and they accommodated me and gave me exercise recommendations that helped me get better)If you’re an experienced weightlifter who’s tired of having to decide which workouts to do and having to fight over the elusive open squat rack at a commercial gym, this is the gym for you.Train Insane is less expensive than hiring a personal trainer and comes with virtually all the benefits, as well as a sense of camaraderie that can really make a difference. At the end of the day, it’s an excellent value and a worthwhile investment on your health. Give it a shot, you might end up loving Train Insane too.”

“Absolutely love this gym. Before I started coming in regularly I was in pain all over my body. Overweight. My joints cracked all the time. Headaches were incredible. I couldn't sleep through the whole night. And if I tried standing up straight it was very painful. All at 32!Now I feel like I'm 15 again. I'm sleeping regularly now. My posture is straight as a ruler. No pain. And I've lost almost 10 pounds. Don't even get me started on the muscle I've gained. All in 6 Weeks!Thanks OC LAB!!!I wanted to add that the staff here really does care about their clients. If you have any issues with your body coming in let them know and they will make sure to accommodate the issue.Also Deb would be upset if I didn't say she's the best accountability person on the planet! She will make sure you are consistent your routine so you don't fall behind!”

“My daughter went here for summer drop-in camp and did a few private tumbling lessons. She did private lessons with Coach Rachael, she is amazing and caring to everyone! She started learning back handsprings and within two lessons, she could do perfect handsprings - 7 in a row.! The only downside I would say is that I have to agree with some of the reviews about the staff acting less than professional at times. All in all, I would say that this is a good gym to learn tumbling.”

“I've been in OC this past week visiting a friend and was SO THANKFUL to have found this spot. The service was exceptionally friendly, especially Jose who set my sister and I both up with guest passes. I saw another reviewer say it: Jose is the man! The gym also felt highly queer and trans friendly and I was comfortably able to workout without issue as a trans person.
The machines are extremely varied for a relatively small location and there were enough barbells I never found myself waiting for one. There are also several different kinds of rooms for people who prefer working out in quieter spaces.
And a smoothie bar?? C'mon!”
“Only giving it 5 stars because of their Jui-Jitsu program. Both MONTANO and LAVARREDA are VERY KNOWLEDGABLE in what they teach. I came in 4 months ago with the goal of losing weight and did(from over 170 to now 140 in about 3 months)! Now I just keep coming back for the FUN of the sport!!! Luis Lavarreda's 6 AM class is the one I've attend DAILY since I've started and he's gone ABOVE AND BEYOND as a coach, he did a great job getting me hooked into this sport!!! When I have free afternoons, I make sure I attend Montanos Afternoon classes as "Extra Credit", his YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD OF MARTIAL-ARTS REALLY SHOWS!

Showers are decent. Never a wait for them. One of them was missing a shower head. ?
Overall, good experience for my brief stay in Anaheim. Would go to again.”
