Try to call to set up a time to meet them about building a car, ground up. Before I could even say hello he hung up. I called back and received nothing but a answer machine. Find a business that's not so rude. Thank God I found out about their attitude before I drop 100 to 150K on a complete build. Guess I am lucky.

Had Pete install a new Mustang II front end on my 41 Plymouth coupe. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work. Got my vehicle back on time and looking forward to working with Pete again.

About 12months ago i was introduced to Pete after talking to a friend at Donut Derelicts one Saturday morning in Huntington Beach about my 1974 Chev dually it had a 454 Big block and t400, I was getting sick of crap has mileage and no overdrive. Pete had plenty of ideas about driveline updates and options we could explore all of which I was happy with so I left it in his hands and I was very happy with the outcome and level of detail he went to and the truck is soooo much better now to drive. With all the updates done I'm considering getting an older vehicle now for my daily driver which I won't hesitate to take to back to Pete's Rod and Custom.

I needed some work done on my hot rod and heard about Pete from a friend. Went by and talked to him and he absolutely knows his stuff. Told me what exactly needed to be done (which was different than what I thought) and delivered as promised. If you are thinking about doing an LS swap, this is the place, he does them all the time and more importantly does it right.

I brought my 73 Chevy truck to Pete wanting to get a LS conversion and not knowing the best way to go about it. Pete went over and above to help put together a budget and timeline i could work with, sourced an engine and trans, and advised me on a few other issues i was having with the truck. Pete got the conversion done and sorted in a reasonable time line, kept in contact with me throughout the entire process and i was always updated every week. I picked up the truck and it ran like a dream. It was so nice to not deal with carburetors anymore! The Truck starts right up when cold, gets great gas mileage, and has power for days! I brought the truck back a few weeks later after putting a few thousand miles on it and Pete checked everything over just to make sure it was all working properly. The service before and after the work and attention to detail is very rare these days. There is a reason he has been around 20+ years in this business! Go see Pete and you wont be dissapointed!

Brought my '69 Camaro to Pete, mainly for some electrical work. I couldn't be happier with that decision. Even before I brought the car in, Pete took the time to learn about my car and take me through a range of options and recommendations. He ended up doing a complete rewire with a wiring harness install. Pete did a beautiful job. Additionally, he swapped out the old original headlights for some aftermarket halogens, diagnosed and replaced a broken ignition lock sector gear in the steering column, and fixed a faulty seat track assembly. I really appreciated Pete's painstaking and methodical approach, his attention to detail, and the frequent communications throughout. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has amazing skills. What's more, he's a really nice person. He will definitely see me again. Trust Pete with your car; you won't regret it.

Earlier this year I took my 55 Chevy Belaire into Pete's shop for some work. It had been sitting in my garage for far too long and I wanted to get it back on its feet so it was a reliable driver. Pete's is pretty much a one man shop and has been in the same location for more than 18 years which tells me something. He specializes in all aspects of vintage car restoration. My car underwent some major surgery including a suspension rebuild, addition of power disc brakes and power steering. He also dropped in a 6 liter GM small block and 4 speed overdrive transmission. The car was completely rewired and new gauges were added as well. The job took some time but Pete kept me regularly posted re status of the build. I am happy concerning the way it turned out and would recommend him highly. He does things the right way and is methodical in his work. Pete does not work for free and you need to understand that working on these old cars can be expensive. If you have an old car that needs some work stop by Pete's. He will take the time to talk about options and pricing and what you can reasonably expect during the process. Also, he backs up his work. I would use him again.
