The staff at this store got very aggressively stalkerish with me for no reason. I was approached at least 7 or 8 times repeatedly by multiple workers in about a 30 minute timespan, unprompted, for seemingly no reason? At first it was normal and I was asked if I needed help finding anything, to which I said I was interested in browsing the Glossier section. The worker led me to where it was, told me her name, and said to find her if I had any questions. She didn’t bother me again. All good there. However, as I began walking around trying to swatch different foundations across multiple brands to identify whether I have a more neutral or olive undertone, at least 3 or other 4 workers kept repeatedly approaching me and politely (but obviously) pressuring me to either get shade-matched or ask them questions I just didn’t have. I even had one employee somewhat gaslight me about my undertone and tell me I’m neutral instead of olive for some reason, even after explaining how it looked off when I would wear warm neutral shades. My guess is she was desperate to sell the foundation I was sampling because she gushed how that brand in particular was, coincidentally, one of the best they had and how she had worn it herself recently. I had two things in my hand at that point: a concealer and a lash primer. The final straw for me was when yet another worker who had interacted with me once previously ran up to me again with a basket and pressured me to take it with a smile. Keep in mind, I had already been in the store at least 15-20 minutes at this point and was only holding two tiny, compact items. It didn’t make any sense given the situation, and, again, I didn’t approach her or signal in any way I wanted this. I then told her no and put everything I was planning on getting back onto the proper shelves and left. I’ve read reviews about racial profiling, and although my skin isn’t super dark, I’m also not the fairest person out there either and had a noticeable deep/golden tan along my arms from the summer sun. I didn’t notice this treatment being directed toward anybody else, but it got to the point I felt like everybody was intently watching me and thinking I was going to steal something. Because of that, I didn’t feel the need to give them my business. I did nothing weird or off-putting that deserved being constantly followed around, watched, and pressured to either buy products that didn’t match my skin or more than I was originally seeking to get by handing me a basket. I’ve never had this happen at this location before, but now that it has, I don’t feel the need to go back.

I was racially profiled on two separate occasions at the Sephora in downtown Disney. Multiple employees on the same day made a beeline from where they stood to me and my mom to ask us if we needed help. Each time we declined, they wandered away without asking any of the other customers around us if they needed help. The only difference between us and the people around us was our skin color. I visited this location twice. I went back the second time because I didn't believe my experience the first time. But by returning for a second trip, I relived the discomfort of being watched instead of having a good shopping experience like the other patrons around me. Not only will I not return in person, but I unsubscribed and deleted the app from my phone. I'm not the only person who has complained about racial profiling at Sephora.
Generalizations about shoplifting behavior based on race are harmful and inaccurate. Shoplifting is a crime that can be committed by individuals of any race or ethnicity. Please educate your staff.

i love sephora it’s the main place i buy makeup from. i’ve been shopping at sephora for years. this is the worst sephora ive ever been to; no one greeted us when we walked in and then multiple employees were on their phones not paying attention to us asking for help. it was difficult to get an item and the testers were mostly empty. plus the line was extremely long with one single employee at the cashier for a busy friday afternoon. management you need to get it together cuz this store SUCKS

The employees at this Sephora are always so friendly! I had an exceptionally good experience today with Sofia F. She really took the time to help me find the best eye cream for me. I felt like I was at a dr’s office. She listened to all of my concerns and came back with three different options (at different price levels)! She was so thoughtful and sweet. I couldn’t have found the eye creams I needed without her! It’s not very often you come by someone so genuinely kind and helpful! Thank you again Sofia F <3

I went to Sephora for a foundation I’ve been looking for but it’s been out of stock everywhere but jeanette was very helpful and kind, she helped me look for my shade and even recommended me other good foundation that match me which is perfect cause I went with other options thanks to her recommendation! Very pretty girl!

I have been to so many Sephora's and this is genuinely such a good store (maybe the best) but the thing that made me LEAVE A REVIEW was JASMINE!!! She is so sweet and helped me out so well while being so supportive and cute. She was relatable and sold me something I probably would’ve never bought without her opinion and advice. I LOVED jasmine!!

Marissa was AMAZING. She was so friendly and patient with me and my loving husband who decided to spoil me. She taught me how to do some makeup without being condescending and overall was just such a light. Marissa completely and utterly made our experience. I would come back to this Sephora just for her.
