A pleasant, soulful place. Like any place where bread is made. We did not visit the tour, we went to have dinner late in the evening. They took soup with clams in bread. Bread, of course, is much more than soup. It's not very nice. But it's delicious. Prepared and served very quickly. The staff is very friendly and smiling, even at 10 pm. We enjoyed it, thank you.

The bakery tour is located in Pacific Wharf which is about to be renamed San Fransoyko Square-hence the covering over the top of the building. Every thing here is being renovated to take on the look of Big Hero 6.When my husband and I arrived we were given a small piece of their famous sourdough bread to try. I'm not really a fan of sourdough bread but this one was pretty good. Your tour is a walkthrough of the bakery in action, the dough they use and everything that goes into making a loaf. I was somewhat disappointed in this tour as I had hoped there would be more to offer. Nevertheless I was glad I had the opportunity to do it.Your self guided tour takes about 10 minutes max and then you are in the Pacific wharf cafe where you can purchase soup or mac and cheese in a breadbowl. You can also buy their famous loaves or one that is MIckey shaped. Outside they have a street vendor selling additional MIckey loaves. The Pacific Wharf cafe will be renamed Aunt Cass cafe serving Japanese-inspired dishes in addition to the breads noted above. San Fransoyko is expected to open within a week.

Learn how some of the best sourdough is made while getting a sample at the end. Takes about 5-10 minutes. Quite a bit of reading.

Though the video portion (minus the into video) have all been removed and replaced with signs instead, this is still a fun way to learn how bread is made. This is a small working factory. You get to watch the workers doing each step as you read about it. They have added a few table and chairs for some indoor seating options. The best part though: you wont end up with a mouth full of drool from the sights and the smells as they offer a free sample of the fresh bread to munch on during your self guided tour. When I know it's lunch time I always make a pit stop in here and then over to the cafe for a sandwich!

The food is tasty but it's not delicious. And the prices vs the portion sizes are a complete and utter scam. As well as the avocado toast I ordered looked like it had just been thrown into the box for my delivery. I'm disappointed with the result and how much I paid.

Tasty breads and other pastries. Their bread bowl clam chowder is a must-try. Their staff is wonderful as well. You can take the short, self-guided bakery tour to see their actual bakers at work.

The best sourdough bread! The shapes they make it in are amazing. It is perfect and worth it. Been to the real one in San Francisco and it is amazing watching them make the bread and they do different animals.
