Recently stayed at Westin and had the pleasure of dining at RISE and Tangerine, and I wanted to share my experiences. At RISE, the service was exceptional with the staff being incredibly friendly and attentive. For starters, we ordered the Avocado Crab Salad and the Thai Chicken Wings, accompanied by a 'Call Me A Cab' cocktail. The Avocado Crab Salad was a delightful mix of flavors, though the crab portion was a bit overwhelming as the meal progressed. However, the Thai Chicken Wings were a standout; perfectly seasoned and cooked, they are a must-try!Our experience at Tangerine, the hotel's breakfast spot, was a mix. The breakfast buffet, included in our reservation, offered a good variety of options. However, a slight hiccup occurred when we ordered beverages. Our waiter didn't mention that juices weren't covered under our reservation, leading to an unexpected addition to our bill. While this was a minor oversight, it did catch us off-guard.Regarding the accommodation, the rooms were immaculately clean, contributing to a very pleasant and comfortable stay overall.Despite the issue during breakfast at Tangerine, our overall experience was positive. The cleanliness of the rooms were highlights of our stay.

There was someone smoking Marjuana in there room and the hotel did nothing about it. Location was fine with it right next to Disneyland. But the check in took an hour just to get to our room. We had a good view but not with the smoke and bad air quality from smoking in the hotel room. Overall, some good, alot of bad.Safety: Not very safe and sanitary around the area.

Had a great stay here over Thanksgiving. Staff provided excellent service all over the hotel. Room was great and clean. Location is fantastic.

We had a great stay at the Westin Anaheim. The rooms were great - clean, new, quiet and comfortable. We had some of the best sleep we have ever gotten in a hotel! The breakfast buffet was very good (fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, breads, bacon and sausage, etc.) and constantly restocked. The service was great too during breakfast (in particular Su and Rogelio) and at the bar seating in the evening. The common areas were constantly being cleaned and there appeared to be an abundance of staff (all of whom were very good). We had a great stay and would definitely come back again.

Our family stay at the Westin Anaheim location embodied the brand at its' best. From start to finish, the service and staff were kind, professional, and expedient. The entrance was grand, and the concierge and valet immediately helped us upon arrival and quickly took care of our luggage. We arrived too early to check in and this was not a problem at all to handle our luggage which quickly appeared in the room within minutes of our later check-in after we passed time for the room to be ready with a delicious lunch at the nearby onsite restaurant - Puesto. Once we arrived at the room, it was exactly as the pictures depicted and the view was great. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable - well priced to the quality. A holiday party was booked on the roof the first night of our arrival which is understandably going to happen from time to time especially this time of year. It was only one night, and we didn't intend to use the rooftop on this visit so this wasn't a miss for us at all. The best part was that staff assured us the time the event would wind down at 10:30, which was very reasonable and allowed us to plan accordingly and still make sure we had good sleep for the next morning at the park. The next evening we enjoyed great conversation with a bartender who was a theater aficionado named Donna who made great quality cocktails themed to the holidays. My wife and I enjoyed these from the sophisticated and casual lounge, and we used the in-room for breakfast the next day from their hotel/restaurant dining option which was delicious and had healthy options that were thoughtful and tasty. Check-in, check-out, and all accommodations were smooth, and the property was well maintained and enhanced the atmosphere of our travel experience. We opted to walk to the parks which was not far at all, though the downtown Disney entrance was the shorter route it wasn't completely intuitive due to the cross-street bridge entrance from the Disneyland hotel property. This was just fine after the first time which we first did the evening of arrival and it was well lit at this time of year with Christmas lights on the palms. If you follow the signs it's a little awkward walk but easy. Overall great stay and would visit again. A step up from the similarly nice but not quite as competitive stay at the nearby JW Marriot. This Westin honors the brand, and we can't wait to try out some of the other delicious food options on this beautiful palm tree-lined property in the future.Rooms: Well furnished, comfortable and spacious. We paid for a park view which showcased the "Incredicoaster" at California Adventure and we could hear the World of Color Show (not see) from our walk-out balcony which also had a beautiful overlooking view of the property.Nearby activities: Downtown Disney is easy to access and via this route, the main parks are as well.Walkability: We don't mind walking at all (we're hikers and son is teenage) so I don't want to skew perceptions in case it might seem further, but it was a very nice walk to the park for us at this time of year especially coming from a climate that was 30-40 degrees colder. The evening Christmas lights on the trees was a nice touch and lit the path well. We entered primarily through Downtown Disney into the parks which might not be preferred for all, especially if you are 'rope dropping' so there's that to consider, but overall the walk was less than our previous hotel stay at JW Marriot nearby which seems closer but has a more complex path. In general, transportation around here is not hard if you can't or don't walk, but your experience with this one is going to be highly personalized and YMMV so take our perspective on great walkability with a grain of salt.Food & drinks: Donna the theater aficionado bartender made fantastic drinks and made for a great short conversation that made us feel welcome and well-received. The in-hotel and in-room dining options were fast and very good, and the

This hotel is great for staying close to Disneyland. The rooms are really clean with great views of the park or the pool. The pool is great for a nice relaxing swim and the hot tub is relaxing for those who prefer warmer water. Room service is great and the restaurants have delicious food. Overall great hotel to stay in if visiting Disneyland

Good service at the breakfast buffet which was the high point of our stay. Gym was one the nicest we have seen although a steam room or infrared sauna would be welcome. Quiet rooms, nice views, good pool and hot tub. Coffee machines in room were Keurig with Starbucks k-pods- we are used to seeing Nescafe in this price range. Bathrooms and linens were good. One bed had a dip and sharp protrusion and my wife couldn't sleep. $35 parking fee was a bit steep and they forgot to put it on our card so it said $200 when pulling out of the garage- which required another trip to the front desk to fix. The manager told us he would fix it and was very apologetic.Rooms: Good linens, quiet, nice bathroom. Bed had dip and sharp protrusion. Keurig coffee with Starbucks k cups.Nearby activities: Disneyland and other theme parks.Food & drinks: Very good breakfast buffet at tangerine room restaurant. Waitress and waiter were excellent. Bar food was good and bartender was very friendly.

The hotel is alright. Its LA pricing and the service is kinda douchey. The suits are cool guys, but having an attitude to actually want to help the guests would get you further. Meh service. Meh location. Over priced. Wont be returning. The parking was cool but once again, over priced and under delivered. But to be fair, thats pretty much los angeles in a nut shell these days.

SUCH GREED!The hotel was lovely, the rooms spacious, and the staff was friendly. In saying all this, I was extremely disappointed at the level of greed while a guest was dealing with an emergency. While staying at the Westin Anaheim Hotel, I received a call from my daughter, who has been away at college. She was being transported to the ER, so I asked the staff if I could stay in the room for an extra 2 hours so I could have privacy and not be seen crying in public. They told me it was possible, but they would have to charge me $467 for a night's stay! The hotel was not full, so it's very disappointing to see this money grab while one of their guests was in the middle of a stressful family medical emergency.

Another great stay over the weekend! Drew checked us in, he was great! Welcomed us back, thanked us for being Marriott Members, explained our benefits for having status. We love this hotel so much! Staff has always been pleasant to us. If you are elite marriott member, I suggest to try this property as the benefits were awesome, we love the lounge and it has a great view of the fireworks from the park!

Definitely my kind of hotel with modern sleek aesthetic both inside and outside. Only qualm is that the hotel is not as close as some say it is. The walk is at least 20 minutes away of decent paced walking. If you have a long day at Disney, this definitely rakes up the extra mileage and physical exertion. Everyone is very friendly and courteous. The other mistake made is they made an error with my billing which I had to call to rectify at the end of the trip. May be a one-off mistake but, really a downer to be stressing out over bill mistakes after you return home from vacation.

This hotel is one of the newer hotels and it is close to the parks. I have both walked and taken the ART. We also stay in rooms with a view of DCA which is amazing. We have lounge access and they have food at 4 pm as well as breakfast each morning. The lounge is a perfect place to view the fireworks. The beds are comfortable and the balcony's are nice especially when you can watch the Disneyland fireworks or World of Color. I have also eaten at the Tangergine room which has really good steak and mac n cheese. I love how the maids organize my kdis blankets and plushies and they were willing to bring up a microwave when my son wanted to heat up his food. This hotel costs more than some of the others but makes up for it with the views.

We requested a late checkout, it's supposed to be a "perk" of our status as Titanium members. However we were informed they had added the title of "resort" to some of their hotels including this one allowing them to say no to the 4pm late checkout our status was supposed to afforded us. So instead what did they offer? To wake up and call as early as possible the day of our departure to request it at which point they will decide if they will accommodate you at all. Even then it wouldn't be close to 4pm. I think they do this deliberately because they have to know that the majority of people requesting this are either trying to get a little extra sleep before long travels, have allot they need to do the day before and know they will be exhausted or have a later flight and nowhere to stay or anything to do until they go to the airport. Sure, many hotels will offer the "service" of holding your luggage in the back but unless you are a place that offers the option to lock up your belongings in your own compartment that requires 2 keys and cannot be opened unless you have the second one that they give you and a matching ID (like Universal Florida's resort hotel Portafino Bay resort for example). Another reason that option isn't suitable for me is I have very important medication - some of it has to be stored cold all the time requiring a mini-fridge which makes that option of storing luggage in a room not an option and if someone were to steal it or misplace it I could even die, we can't risk it so taking away that option can really badly effect our travel. After a few other issues that took away hours more of our stay to deal with one the day we were to leave we set alarms for very early (the time they tell you to start calling), eventually we got them to agree to a 1pm checkout, but you shouldn't have to fight so hard to get that. Hotels are a place to sleep while you're away, you're taking away from our sleep by not being willing to accommodate people in the first place and making them get up and repeatedly call to beg for something. They don't even advertise as far as I can tell or mention upon booking that they don't honor status "perks".Even after we finally got the 1pm checkout (not 4pm but I suppose it's better than nothing) it wasn't a good or relaxing experience. Could we even try to go back to sleep and rest? Nope!We were constantly disturbed by knocks on our door at all hours refusing to believe we had late checkout even after we called down to the front desk and asked them to communicate our late checkout and stop bothering us.We have spent a ridiculous amount of time and money staying at this brand of hotels, we figured if we at least try to consistently stay with a particular brand we would have earned status that would afford us these small things but that is becoming more and more not the case.Way more often than not our stays in the hotel chain have been uncomfortable, unhappy memories which is sad. The brand has really gone downhill in our opinion. I hate that they are even so money grubbing that they won't let you have much control over the temperature in your own room anymore and many won't turn off the motion sensor so when you sleep it gets so incredibly hot. We find ourselves constantly waking up, waving our arms frantically in the air trying to get the air to kick on. It feels more and more like they have 0 care for your comfort, how much money you have spent or loyalty to their brand. We have started stitching to boutique hotels instead because we are just so fed up.Unless the brand gets better and they start valuing their customers and the stay they what is generally a pretty penny for.

Attended a lunch party. The Hotel is newly built with plenty of parking. The self parking is $15 with a resturant validation. The decor is awesome. The service staff are great. My problem was with the food. The soup we got was pure vinegar. The Chicken was all Soy sauce. The vegetable rolls were squishy. The Salad was awesome tasy and delecious. There was olive oil for dressing but the bottle was sealed.

Absolutely recommend as the premier location to call home during your Disney vacation. We have always stayed on property at either the Disneyland Hotel or the Grand, but for the last few trips we have done one night (usually night before arrival) at the Westin. I have been impressed, but I was not quite ready to commit to moving off property. This time around, I'm so pleased we did. ValueFirst thing first, this property holds significantly more value for price than any of the Disney properties. An upgraded, deluxe two queen room on the top floor with balcony and park view (full view of fireworks and DCA) booked during the holiday season for just under $400 a night. Rates on property for subpar hotels are 600 (bare bones, no view, at DLH to over $900 at the Grand again with no view). ServiceFrom the front desk to the valet to the restaurant, every employee we have interacted with has been pleasant, helpful, welcoming, and kind. Service is also prompt. Whereas it can and does take up to two hours to get your luggage brought up at the Grand (when someone answers the phone), luggage even when busy appears within 15-20 minutes of calling. Towels and room service come up promptly as well. Staff goes above and beyond, including providing a complementary surprise birthday amenity. Cleanliness/room Immaculate. No frayed carpets or dusty surfaces to be found (I'm looking at you, Grand Californian). Bathrooms are well-appointed with bath and shower, huge sink area with ample storage, and again, very clean. White solid floors and countertops ensure you would see if anything was unclean. It is not! Bedding and towels in excellent condition and immaculate. Entire property is very clean, including pool area.AmenitiesThe rooms are modern, with touch technology to dim/brighten lights, and ample USB and regular charging stations well positioned for your needs. Soft robes and take away slippers are provided. It would be nice to have a nespresso, but the kerig works well and we are restocked with Starbucks pods each day, as well as to go cups. Flat screen tv with Netflix, Amazon, you tube, and other options allow you to easily log in and watch what you choose. The pool is clean and lovely. Room service is available for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night, and there are several on property restaurants. The food is delicious and well-prepared. They offer a delightful breakfast buffet with everything you could ask for (including a beverage) for $14 for kids or $33 per adult. They also have an excellent ala carte breakfast menu if you like, or you can pre order room service. Rooms have a mini fridge to use, are restocked with complementary water daily, and have plenty of seating space available. The AC is a little finicky, as you must have your balcony door closed and locked completely for it to work, but it cools and heats nicely. The only thing I could ask for is a little more storage. There aren't too many drawers or shelves to accommodate a long stay. We are making this work, but it would be nice to have more. Probably works better for shorter trips Noise levelWe have been undisturbed by neighbors, walls appear to block noise sufficiently. Note- if you do get a park facing room, you will hear some ambient noise from the parks and road. It doesn't bother us, but if this bothers you, ask for a room not facing the parks. Proximity to parksI cannot figure out why people sometimes claim that the property is in need of a shuttle. From the front of the Westin to the park/DTD entrances from the Grand Californian (with easy access to both parks) is literally a ten minute walk. If you have reservations or a mobile order at the Grand, they'll let you in through the front (ie the gate). If someone happens to be coming in or out, you can also get through. On the way back, you can always, always cut through the Grand as this is unmonitored. If you do need to walk around, take a left on to Katella and cross Disneyland Dr. Take a left after Paradise Pier and walk diagonally to reach the edge of the DLH. Walk straight up to secu
