The absolute worst pharmacy! The staff is rude and gives the wrong prescriptions!! I have a friend who is diabetic and has a glucose monitoring reader that requires sensors that can only be used with their specific reader and no other sensors will with with their reader because they are not interchangeable. Every time they have þrefilled their prescription for their sensors, which are covered by their insurance, they had nothing but issues. They were given the wrong sensors every time and they were told that it was their doctors fault because the doctor didn't specify which sensors my friend needed on the prescription they received from the doctor they claimed. Well, I went to my friend's doctor appointment with them to explain the issue with the pharmacy not receiving the correct prescription from their office and the doctor was shocked because she said and even showed us that she sent the correct prescription to the pharmacy. So again she sent the prescription to them with us right next to her so that we could see for ourselves that the right prescription was sent to them in case there was any issues. Well, my friend went to pick up their sensors and was charged $130 for them but they didn't question that because they needed them even though they had always been covered by insurance prior to this. Before my friend paid they asked the cashier if they were the correct sensors and explained that if they were not the specific ones for their reader they would not work. The cashier reassured my friend they were the correct ones after looking at the box himself. My friend and I walked to the car in the parking lot of the Safeway store and my friend decided he would check the sensors himself and realized they were not the right ones. We went back into the Safeway pharmacy and explained that the sensors were not the ones that work with their reader. The cashier looked nervous and confused and said he'd see what he could do to fix the issue. Then a woman with short black hair came over to the counter and said that they were "Fasing out" the kind of sensors that were for my friends reader and that "By law" she could not return my my friends money or take the wrong sensors back. She said my friend would have to speak to the pharmacy manager who wouldn't be available until the next day! My friend is switching pharmacies due to the ignorance, lack of accountability when they've made an error, their unprofessional and rude attitude towards the patients and their lack of communication skills and lack of reading skills. This pharmacy does NOT care about the patients who get their medications from them at all and they apparently don't understand that a diabetic person has to check their glucose levels all the time or they could die or end up hospitalized if they can't check their glucose levels due to THE PHARMACY ERROR!! I do NOT recommend filing any prescription at Safeway, there are much better more competent pharmacies to go to! As for my friend and I we will no longer shop at safeway and nether will our friends or family members! Word of mouth travels fast and Safeway has just lost a lot of customers! My advice is DO NOT LOSE $130 like my friend did by trusting this pharmacy!

Unfriendly doesn’t even want to work with your schedule ie I can’t work mornings because I have to wait till after 11 to get my meds and don’t like how I’m being treated with such disrespect

I have never had any issues here until recently, can't get my full prescription of inhaler at all! Going on 2 months now, it's ridiculous. Always got a text when prescriptions were ready, had to call and they didn't even have it for 3 weeks! It's ridiculous, and makes my life harder!

I love this Safeway employees are always helpful in the food & deli area. I don't like the Starbucks in there, I use to. The girl that was working named Maci that waited on me today needs some serious customer service training. I asked for something non-caff & her response was "we are a coffee shop so everything has caffeine ". I bought a cup & she didn't offer to rinse it & put my drink in it. I've bought cups in the past as gifts & the person waiting on me always offered to put my drink in my cup not knowing it was a gift. Also when I tried to use my Starbucks app she said "we don't use the QR code we use a bar code you know the long ones with lines, its in the app" She didn't explain what app Safeway app or Starbucks app? Thinking I should call the store manager ? Terrible service.

I don't know what's going on with Safeway in the month of May but all of my clients that I take care of have medication they just can't get and I don't understand it I can't use their automated system because it says it's not working then it transfers me to a person and they're not available it's a mess I will change this review if things get better but this has been going on now for at least 3 weeks.

They have worked so hard to get Covid vaccine to all. We were able to get both vaccinations, the pharmacist called us when they had a few extra of the 2nd vaccine and we were able to get there and be finished. What a relief! They mail our prescriptions and have worked hard to handle a problem we had. Highly recommend them.

Covid-19 Trainwreck. Most of the customers are not wearing that. Stories not enforcing policies. Worker is wiping down the carts, but doing so without a mask on.
