I've been a safe member sometime now even after moving out of state I still use the account but recently I was visiting this branch while in Sacramento to cash a check I received in a settlement but what bothered me was the way the teller was acting towards me kept looking at my check and my license like I was up to no good then he had the nerve to tell me he can only cash part of it I tried not to get upset but I explained the situation why I needed to cash it all and he finally did it but never in all my time with safe have I had a teller act like that

Tried to open a new account but they denied me. Reason was previous account with negative history. I never had negative balance for 19 years of being a member. I paid off everything including my car loan ( gave them $19k cashier's check) before moving to another bank closer to my house. I had weekly direct deposit and paid my car loan on time. Or, they denied me for being brown with non American name. They're far worse than other credit unions. I opened my first account 19 years ago as I wanted to support local businesses but this is I get.

Safe attendant refused to help because it was 10 minutes to closing. I had brain surgery recently and put my significant other on my account so he can pay bills while I'm recuperating. When I altered my acct the bank associates assured me that was the way to do it and he wouldn't have any issues. Everything was fine for the last 8 weeks and he's been able to take money in and out to pay our bills until today. Just because it was close to 2pm on a Saturday. I'm very disappointed in this staff. Do better. You have clients with lives just like yours and it helps to read the notes on their acct...Despite whether you're off in a few minutes or not.

the worst experience in a bank I have ever had. it's the second time I've tried to withdraw funds from my account. showed ID and gave social security number and still couldn't get money out. I guess I'll bring my birth certificate and Passport next time. brutal banking services!!!!

I was helped out today by Windy Krueger at the front desk. She had a very welcoming and friendly approach. She is definitely a person that goes above and beyond to find a way to help customers. I needed proof of residence and in her unique way she was able to provide that for me cuz it was a bit difficult with the new address change. Sometimes it’s all about that difference that the show customers how important they are and they want to help. I hope she gets is noticed for her great work and is rewarded for it. I wish there were more employees like her. Thank you Windy ☺️

I have been a Safe member for several years. I applied for a few thousand dollar personal loan about a year ago only to be denied due to my credit because of my purchasing a home. They were extremely rude and treated me like a peasant. They said they would call me no later than the following day. They failed to contact me and left me hanging, then notified me by their d*** system that I was denied. Fine. Whatever. Moved on. Then a few days ago, someone skimmed my card and used it at a retail store gas station about 4 hours away from my home to buy diesel fuel. My car takes unleaded. If I wouldn’t have been watching my account it would’ve overdrawn it and bounced my mortgage and homeowners payments that were pending. Luckily I added funds to my account in time. I called Safe. They cancelled my card, so I am without access to my money for 7-10 days. And they are still hanging onto the funds for the fraudulent charge. I have had no contact and there is no update in the system. The phone banker had the nerve to tell me to get a credit card for emergencies like this - when their bank doesn’t protect me from fraudsters. Even though the store said there was a ring of people that used fraudulent cards all for diesel and all the same amount in two pumps over a few hours, and that they were pulling video and records - because *I* called and got the footwork accomplished in five minutes, Safe still hasn’t done anything except assigned my case to an anonymous person - I am still sitting here with $5 in my account. Safe days their “investigation” can take up to two months. I wonder what would happen if a customer told them it would be up to two months to put money in an overdrawn account?? This place is a joke and I miss the national chains that I thought by going to a small credit union I would be receiving benefits I didn’t have at. Man, was I wrong.

I've been with Safe forever. My parents opened an account for me here. I've had good customer service at the counter, and with saving money and setting up a retirement account. Safe Credit Union's mobile app works well and they hire thoughtful people. They are always clean, organized, and professional. I'm really glad I do business with them. I've always had a smooth experience with customer service on the phone, and via chat through their website.

Locked out of my card AGAIN! Within a day and a half of fixing it they turned it off again with no warning or even charges made on the card to consider suspicious enough to turn it off. Crazy, I'm switching banks, can't even use my money here. Customer service is unhelpful so I suggest keeping money in a Cashapp for when they shut you out on your vacation or a random Sunday while they're closed.
