My daughter had been looking forward to taking a remarkable birthday portrait with her son and brother, so we decided to visit JC Penney to make it happen. As we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable Liz, who made us feel right at home. She took the time to listen to our ideas and preferences and provided helpful suggestions throughout the session, which made all the difference in creating a truly memorable experience. Despite Liz's best efforts, my little grandson was in a bit of a mood and seemed unwilling to cooperate. He stubbornly refused to smile for the camera, much to our disappointment. However, Liz was undeterred and captured a few candid shots that were simply priceless. Her patience and perseverance paid off, and we ended up with a beautiful portrait that we will cherish for years. Overall, it was a fantastic experience; we couldn't have been happier with the results. We will be coming back for the following photos.

I love this JC Penny's. A little remote but never crowded except maybe around holidays. They have a wonderful reasonably priced beauty salon which they should advertise more and highlight on the mall sign outside.

Zero out of a million!!!!!!!I went here to purchase jewelry. Waited for over an hour while the patrons assisted others. Unfortunately, I was neglected assistance. I will never patronize any JCPenneys location. Yes I am black, educated, carer oriented and was looking forward to making a lucrative purchase. However, I felt neglected and unsought. It’s very sad.

I frequently shop at JC Penny as does my husband. He likes the Jewelry department and he is always pleased with the service he gets there and has spent a lot of money over other years. I have normally had good experiences at JC Penny at this location, but today it all changed thanks to one sales cleric in the Ulta location. I went to the store with the specific purpose of buying 4 bottles of perfume for gifts. I expected each bottle to be about $75_$100 so I expected to spend close to $400. The display for the perfume I wanted was outside Ulta in the aisle way and there were only two out. They were out in the open My daughter and I stopped to look and when I picked up one box the alarm went off. I put it back on the shelf waiting for someone to come help. After a few seconds the sales clerk from inside Ulta walked over and took the box from the shelf didn’t say a word and walked back in to the Ulta area. She did not ask if she could help me or acknowledge I was there. As she was walking away with the perfume box I asked “Are these not for sale”. Her response was no they are not for sale. I responded “So are these just for display, I wanted to buy 4 do you have more”. Her response was “we don’t have more and they are $70.” I responded to her “I didn’t ask how much they were I asked if they were FOR sale”. She responded “They are not ON sale and are expensive $70”. My response, I asked if they were FOR sale not ON sale. She still didn’t get it, as I asked because I assumed the items were not for sale since she took it off the shelf as I was looking at it and never asked if I had questions or needed help. Her attitude was unpleasant and rude. By her response I could tell she was basically saying “you can’t afford this” and she also clearly did not understand the difference between the words FOR and ON. I told her I didn’t appreciate her attitude and walked out. I went to the jewelry department and asked if there was a manager on duty who I could speak to. The manager who came over was very apologetic and said she would counsel the employee. She asked me to not judge the entire store by this one person, but frankly it is difficult not to. I walked out without buying anything today (a first for a trip to Penny’s for me) and drove to the Ulta store at the streets in Brentwood. I spent $400 and got excellent service. I did not get the specific item I wanted which appear to only be at Penny’s, but at this point I was in no mood to spend money there. . I like having a JC Penny close by and hope they remain open, but customer service counts, and their employees need to not treat every individual who walks thru the door like someone who is either there to steal or is not worthy of their time. UPDATE AFTER RESPONSE- If you read my review it was clearly just feedback. There is no ongoing issue as based on my interaction with the salesperson I made the choice to take my business elsewhere and buy a different product all together. No response needed or wanted. Yet JCP responds by apologizing for the “inconvenience “ and referring me to their phone line where you place orders or ask about products. I guess they still think I want to order this product from them. That ship has sailed, and just an FYI when I walked out of the Ulta at JCP it was empty, not a single customer in there, and the entire time I stood outside by the jewelry counter waiting for a manager not another single customer walked in. Compare that to the Ulta store (filled with customers), Sephora in Kohls (filled with customers), or Sephora store (filled with customers)…in store customer service counts and in any of the others places I mentioned, I have never received rude customer service.

JCPenney parking lot was full. I was surprised they had too much collection and full with stuff. They have good brand stuff. Price was also very good. Store is very clean. Employees are very helpful. Have big lines in cash register area. Bathroom was clean. Most of the employees have experienced. They have too much collection for man. Definitely I recommend this location for shopping.

This review is specifically for Salon services! It was my first time coming to a salon to get my hair done professionally in general, and I was a bit nervous initially, wondering how my hair would've turned out. I did ask for a double process color tone service with my hair stylized a bit, in hopes of wanting to become a whole new person visually. Lichelle (I hope I've spelled her name correctly) was very sweet and fun to chat with and she did an amazing and phenomenal job with treating my hair. I really loved the end result and the bangs of my hair made me look entirely different, which was something I've wanted to go for anyway! I'm overall happy with the service, the friendly atmosphere, and end result. The pricing also works well on my end, very affordable in my humble opinion. I've even showed off the new look to my boss since I actually work in Portraits studio. 10/10 would definitely come back for sure!

Customer service is almost non-existent. Please don't ever ask for a manager. They appear to be non-existent, as well. The telephone system is pitiful. I have REPEATEDLY called multiple departments within a single hour, hoping to speak with a human, and all I received was a message that "this person" was unavailable. Professional? NOT!! I called the corporate customer service department and I could not effectively communicate with the agents. I speak perfect English and have a great vocabulary. Somehow, I was transferred to Synchrony Bank (JCP card issuer) customer service regarding an in-store issue. I really like the items that I have purchased at JC Penney, especially the children's clothing, the Liz Claiborne line and items from the home department. However, I will no longer continue to shop there. I am a very senior customer, and I cannot afford to waste any of the precious time that I have left on this earth dealing with substandard customer service when there are so many other places to shop. And I will be closing my credit card account.

I would not recommend JCPenney to anyone. Why? Because their return policy is so complicated. I have to order online because this store doesn't carry the pillow I like anymore. Every time I order a pillow online, the wrong one is sent to me. So then I have to take it to this local store to get just the pillow price refunded. Then I have to get home and call their customer care number and get my remaining money for the shipping and surcharge refunded because the store doesn't do that. Why don't you just give me the full refund of what I paid online? This is a complete bogus system by JCPenney and a waste of my time. Tell your warehouse workers to pay attention to orders and get things right. They have zero accountability and clearly are an incompetent group of people incapable of performing simple duties a child could do. I am sick and tired of having to go through this process every few months I order a new pillow.

Ghetto animals steal from this store everyday and the security guard let's them ..... east county as a whole is GHETTO and its only gonna get worse ..... ESTUPID DEVILCRATS ... you can take the animals out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the animals ... Antioch is proof

I went shopping with my mom and sister at this location. We weren't even in the store for 5 minutes before I noticed this man staring at us from a distance. He wasn't sure if I noticed him at first but when he realized I was on to him he tried to play it off. I told my mom and sister that man is watching us. My mom was in disbelief and said "he's not worried about us". I spot them every time because they give themselves up by staring too hard. The way he was staring was actually creepy because being a woman and a strange man keeps looking at you makes you uncomfortable. This man was LP loss prevention for JCP. He was wearing a black shirt with blue jeans. Everywhere we went in the store he appeared at the same spot. Lingering around trying to make us believe he was minding his own business but he was in fact watching us. I wouldn't take my eyes off of him because he needed to know I'm watching him too. To make a long story short, this man wasted his time following us around the store because his conscience failed him into believing we were common thieves. This is what typically happens when you stereotype people. He might need some more training before they release him on the floor alone again. Even when we went to the register he waited by the door like a little doorman. When we left the store, being the coward he was, he set some kind of alarm off from the outside that said something like leave the property police are on the way. It was heard over the speaker. We ignored it because we knew that was little man's last desperate attempt to try to intimidate us. It didn't work! Be careful when you go shopping at this location!! Watch these men who pretend to be shoppers watching you!!

JC Penny is awesome. I found everything I was looking for and the staff is so kind and helpful. This is definitely my go to store for fashion.
