I have not shopped at this store for a long time because I was tired of dealing with rude people (customers and cashiers) and stepping over homeless people when I arrived early in the morning. I am happy to say that I am glad to see that Safeway has made it feel safe again. It is really sad that it had to resort to gates and security people and closed off sections but something had to be done. I am glad that Safeway did this. Also - a shout out to people who work there- they were friendly and polite when I talked with them and needed help.

Sold me expired lactaid milk ordered on Sep 4th for pick-up. Expired July 13, 2023. Luckily I pay attention to everything I put away!

The multi buy package of meat for $20.00, don't risk your health on it. It was bad by the next day. Chicken seasoned heavily to mask the odor of spoiled meat. Chicken Breast was buy one get one free which makes me wonder that their prices are so high they cannot move the meat before it expires.

This store is clean but there is always something negative about the experience. They never have more than 1 or 2 check stands open. I think they want more people to use self checkout but that isn't always possible if you have more than 15 items or alcohol. Also this is a buyer beware store. On different occasions I've purchased items that were almost or had expired. They don't seem to change out or check dates often. I tried to purchase minced ginger recently, and the jar was covered in dust. I will say the employees are friendly, haven't had an unpleasant experience with anyone.

I ordered a cake online for my daughter's graduation party and was given a confirmation number and told I could pick it up on Saturday at 10am. The party started at 2pm. When we attired to pick up cake they said they didn't do online orders and there was no cake. I showed them my confirmation number and they said they're was nothing they could do. I called and spoke to store manager whom said they did take online orders and put me on hold while he walked back to bakery. He then got back on line and told me that he was just informed by bakery manager that they no longer take online orders and that she had sent out a cancelation email. I checked my email and yes there was a cancelation email but it was sent at 10pm Friday night. How was I supposed to be able to find somewhere open to make me another cake by the following morning. So I had a party of around 80 people with no cake. Completely unacceptable. The assistant manager doesn't even know what's going on in his store. There shouldn't be an option to place an online order if they don't honor them and the bakery should not only have canceled much sooner but have called me as well to let me know, not the night before the party but as soon as order was placed. Very unprofessional. I would never have expected this type of behavior from a store like Safeway. I will NEVER be a patron at this location again.

I love this Safeway. I do not go inside I only do pick ups. I always have a nice experience with them and they always take care of me! Always fresh food! I love how they're all friendly!

Worst possible Safeway in the area. We ordered sandwiches for a staff meeting a week earlier and when it was time to pick it, it had not been prepared! Talk about irritating. On another occasion, went to buy some lunch items from the Delicatessen, oh my goodness! 20+ minute wait. On top of that there was a lady in front of me that had pre-order sandwiches and guess what? They didn't have their order prepared (sound familiar)?If you can AVOID this place, do it. You will just get frustrated. Poorly managed and unorganized.

I placed an order online for a full sheet cake to celebrate Antioch Unified's Teacher of the Year and the bakery cancelled the order because they didn't have the decoration I chose. Never again will I trust this Safeway. I should have gone with the Safeway in my town.

What is going on with the Antioch Safeway store? There haven't been shopping carts available for months. That is terrible customer service. This store has gone downhill and is an awful shopping experience.

Shout out to Katie and all the employees that work in the pick up section! Never once have I had a bad experience, and I go a few times a week! I have a little one, so it's very convenient that they have this service. Thank you Safeway Employees!

I do not recommend ordering your cakes from this location. I placed an order for 2 full size cakes and they were did completely wrong! Not to mention all cake sizes have went up approximately an entire $20. I was only refunded for one of my cakes which was $85. The writing was horrible! The cake was nothing I asked for. No one in the bakery cared for my concern. And I never spoke to an a manger. If you like Safeway cakes as much as my family and I do I recommend finding a different location or try Raley's .

What is going on at this store? Management must be d*** or only there once a month, probably both. Lines always crazy, this morning less than half of the self checkout machines are working, I ALWAYS have to search the entire store for a basket since they're never at the door like they should be. Though this morning there were just none anywhere? I think I'll just take one home with me next time and bring it with when I go to the store. The service sucks.. I could go on.. Also I think I'm going to start stealing from this location, just a lil freebie with every visit. Doesn't seem like anyone gives a fk and this inflation getting crazy!!!

my cashier was name was "maxi" she had a attitude and i bought 4 waters...she bagged my items and i didn't ask for bags i had my own...i wasn't really paying attention cause i was getting my card ready, but she rung me up for 4 waters and only put 2 in the bag, she did it on purpose. I didn't notice til i got home. I don't know what her problem was but you do not put your issues/problems on the customer. also this safeway is out of stock on way too many items and it's always like that, I would never go back to this specific safeway again
