The last three times I have came here to the pharmacy, hours after my medicine was sent in, in the morning, I get there at night time and my medicine is never ready. I have to wait 20 mins, after already waiting in a long line to even see the clerk. I don't understand how it goes from morning to evening why I have to wait, hours. Then the people who work there are so rude. I came there twice before and they told me they didn't have my medicine, they couldn't even call me to tell me they didn't have it before I wasted my time going down there and waiting in line. This past year the service has gone down from there. Now I've been here waiting 45 mins and can't do one of my errands because this was one, and then another one, and then pick up my daughter from child care which both close at 6 and it's 5:30 now, 45 mins later and my medicine is still not fulfilled. So now I can't do my errands cause they are continuing a trend of being an inconvenience by not having stuff ready from the morning to the evening.

I've shopped at this store for 13 years and I've always liked it but I haven't been in for some time till yesterday. A super friendly employee was sitting out front on a break but still nice! Everyone inside was working hard stocking the shelves with tons of new holiday things and they were still nice! I wasn't in a hurry so I went up and down several isles I'd never even ventured down and to my surprise they had brands I like!! Loads of organic/natural things!! The prices were good too. My cashier was the same girl I'd seen outside. I didn't catch her name but she was going, friendly and had 1/2 her hair black & the other red. I only have 4 stars because the outside looks bad but it's hard because of all the homeless I'm sure.

Rite-Aid #05908 18th st Antioch Ca Terrible customer service, I was confronted at the front door by a pink haired guy that told me to leave my backpack at the front door next to the shopping cart the homeless person left there, I told him I couldn't leave my pack, it had close to $2k dollars my cell phone, house keys, etc.. in it, that's why I didn't leave it in the car. He square up to me and told me it was his store, his rules and to get out of his store. Mind you I'm a 60 year old male, clean shaven, well dressed and have had double open heart surgery.. I can barely walk. All I needed was a birthday card.. If this is the look and attitude of the 'Customer service representatives' that Rite-Aid wants to project their image with good luck.. me, my money, my prescriptions and my business are going to CVS... I will be writing the Corporate Office next.

I just ran into riteaid to get bandaids but I had my 2 year old son who was close to a melt down and was yelling " I don't want bandaids" so I decided to make the shopping trip better by getting him a tiny ice cream . I was helped by Lionel who I believe was a store manager, I asked for half of what the smallest size of ice cream was, which is odd already so I explained to him that my child doesn't get sugar regularly but I need him to behave in the store. I'm sure he thought that I couldn't afford a full ice cream. Than to make matters worse my card wouldn't work it got declined ( my husband's card worked so its weird that mine wouldn't) Lionel did not even hesitate he pulled a dollar and paid for my mini scoop of ice cream. I have extreme social anxiety and this situation really had me close to a panic attack, so I did not get to thank Lionel properly. When my husband came in to pay for my bandaids he wanted to thank him and give him back his dollar but my card had been declined again and the ice cream had ran out so my toddler was on the verge of crying and I was very overwhelmed so we left. But it was so nice and I really appreciate him. Great management great service and just being nice to a fellow human being

Poor customer service, my daughter and I felt unwelcome there. I went to get ice cream for my daughter and it was old, had ice crystals in it and the lady helping us really made it seeming it was a huge chore to help us. Never going back there again.

This pharmacy is horrible they can't handle Covid shots and Covid test and filling medicine. If u want your medicine on time go somewhere else. Because this place is beyond slow. My disabled daughter NEEDS her meds and I called to get my it filled this morning and I am here at 3:00 pm and still not filled. This is unacceptable.

So I just got my first shot from RiteAid in Antioch. They refused to schedule my 2nd dose & said they would call me when it's time... Everywhere you look it says - you will be scheduled for your 2nd dose when the first dose is administered. I questioned them and they said no. They didn't tell me what shot I was getting - I had to ask. They didn't tell me about any potential side effects & when I asked they said please refer the huge pamphlet we just gave you. They gave me the shot and said ok you can go. I asked - aren't I supposed to wait - they said wait in your car and if you have a major reaction please come back inside This is the RiteAid that serves the "other side of the tracks" in Antioch. When I took my mom to Pleasant Hill they explained everything. Thankfully- so I know what to expect. Like right now I'm icing my arm (which is what they told my mom to do). But at least I have my first shot - who knows if I'll get my 2nd dose . I wasn't left feeling very confident. And also, can they please clean that place - it just felt dirty there. BUT I was greeted when I came in by a staff member at the front and they asked if I needed help & directed me to the pharmacy. They are the reason there's 2 stars instead of one!

I got my first vaccine at this location 1/26. I was told when I booked and in the email confirmation I would get my second vaccine scheduled at the time of the first vaccine. When I got there, and after my vaccine, they would not schedule my 2nd vaccine. Now I am one week away from the due date for vaccine #2 and they won't pick up the phone even though they told me to call the pharmacy for my appointment when I was there on Jan. 26.

My experience: Having been alerted weeks ago (Jan 13, 2021) that RiteAid pharmacies in the San Francisco Bay Area had appointments available for those 65+ for the first of the two Covid-19 vaccinations, I jumped at the opportunity that same day. It's a good thing, for the slots at various RiteAid locations disappeared very quickly. I was willing to drive anywhere and thus ended up going to one of the 2 locations in Antioch, CA, about 30 miles away, even though a RiteAid is located within walking distance of my home. Meanwhile and for safekeeping, I also tried to apply through the Contra Costa County, Safeway, and Muir Medical Group, of which I am a member. I persisted - (telephone, email, websites) and never heard back from any of those providers. Yesterday, I received my 1st vaccination at the Antioch location at 20 East 18th Street (store #05908). I did not feel safe or comfortable. When I entered, some customers were not wearing masks, which should have been an omen. The store is relatively small, and the pharmacy was situated in the back. The area in which the vaccinations were being administered was directly adjacent to the pick-up line for medications, and there was a long line with customers not necessarily observing social distance. I expected to be ushered into a private room, as my friends had been who had been inoculated at other RiteAid locations. Instead, I had to sit in one of two chairs in close proximity to each other - and furthermore SURROUNDED by others as I awaited the shot. No space, no privacy. After 15+ minutes, a technician appeared. She briefly explained the procedure, although I had trouble understanding her due to a language barrier. When I asked her a few (what I felt) were routine questions, she seemed unwilling or unable to answer them, anxious to move on. When I voiced a complaint about the lack of privacy and social distancing among others, she responded with "it's always crowded here" and dismissed me. She told me to remain in my seat for 15 minutes (standard operating procedure) but didn't bother to check on my condition. I left the store, feeling grateful that I had succeeded in getting vaccinated in the first place, overcoming the challenges of making my way through the chaotic system. I have tried to re-schedule my 2nd appointment for the shot that is supposed to occur at the same location. I personally visited the pharmacy of a close-by RiteAid store and was told it had no ability to alter appointments. I contacted the Corporate RiteAid customer service department and was informed that no central phone number existed by which I could change my appointment. Instead I was directed to the website of the County Health Offices and to the original email address by which I booked the appointment (neither option worked). I have filed a written complaint.

I came here recently to get my drive thru testing and the staff was very professional and took a very short time to complete the process. Also the results were rather fast given the situation although I guess that depends on another company

Horrible service. Pharmacy always opens plate. Staff rushes in after opening time, then you stand in line waiting for them to get it together. Today I went to the pharmacy for Sudafed (which u can't purchase in the main line) si I paid for my other things I was buying. I asked if I could pay for my ice cream scoop. They said no they didn't have the buttons, so I stood in line all over again in the main line. When it was finally my turn I asked for a scoop of ice cream. Both staff at the register looked bewildered by my request. First they said "we don't sell ice cream on weekends, the. Looked at each-other and the other lady responds that the there's no ice cream then says it's closed them says the ice cream is too hard they can't scoop it. A big waste of time coming to this store tonight. But not the first time I've left disappointed.

Pitiful, pitiful pharmacy staff! Took 3 days just to get someone to answer the phone! Then the argument started - in which the clerk ended up yelling at me. Not a cool move if you want to keep your job. I'm calling the store manager, next. The clerk kept trying to explain things to me as though I was in kindergarten., i am an 83 y. o., well-educated person and I take no tongue lashings from a angry, hostile clerk! Don't go there!!!!!
