I used to have a good experience with this hertz but my last experience was so frustrating. I reserved online for the managers special for a good rate ( there's 2 different managers special for an electric car or a compact, larger/similar car) I did reserve the economy car and what she gave me a electric car cause she said with that particular special it's whatever they want to give you. It was my first time in a full electric vehicle and it was a horrible experience thanks to this hertz and the misleading website specials. It's unfortunate that they have changed for the worse. Renting a car is supposed to be fun, won't be renting from here again.

Illegally charging for additional driver. California law states that they cannot charge if additional driver is spouse, parent, grandparent, child or sibling. Rent somewhere else.

Went here to get a rental because my car is in the shop. LITERALLY did not even tell us the license and debit card had to match after already driving back and fourth 30 minutes there. I had a debit card and my mother had the license. I was there and could have shown my id for my debit card I was gonna put on file. LAZY ASS PEOPLE!!!

Very, very poor staff. Dismissing and even try to insult your intelligence. Booked the Managers Spacial; listed an economy 4 door. Got there and they said it’s an electric vehicle. I honestly wouldn’t care EV or gas but… the route for my trip had over 300mi without a charging station. I was forced to upgrade at a cost to me even though I specifically booked an option that did not list an EV. When I pointed that out I was met with an explanation that made zero sense(EV option provides only EV’s yet a gas option is everything on the lot even if it only lists gas). When I questioned this seeming it was as pretty much a forced upgrade I was told “that’s what it is, I’m not reversing anything”. Seriously don’t use this place, not worth having to deal with anyone like that. I told all this to the corporate travel rep for the company I work for to get my reimbursement, I’m one of 125 employees in the IE and HD with monthly travel and she removed the location from their provider list. Good job on Customer retention Maddie.

Ladies working there on Friday 2-28-25 seemed to want to argue with me more than they needed a sale. Told them my father in laws van was having mechanical issues and that I wanted to rent him a vehicle for the day. That he just needed to move some couch cushions and I wanted to make sure the interior would fit them. The lady looks at me and says you can only put passengers in our vehicle. Having rented here before and never having heard this rediculous rule I called her bluff and said where does it say I can’t put groceries or boxes or any items I wish in the back seat. I think you are lying. She quickly took it back and said it doesn’t matter. Needless to say all they have is a gas guzzling ancient van that they wanted $280 a day for 🤣 go to booking or any other app and get a brand new nice vehicle for 50bucks. Would never use this hertz unless through a third party. Just look at their reviews.

First of all, extremely rude staff! I had a horrible past experience with these extremely unprofessional people, but thought I’d give them another try since they are located close to my house. Booked online and PAID in FULL!!!!! Went to pick up my car and they said they didn’t have one available for me. What the heck are “reservations” for and also I paid in advance. No help what so ever from the staff. They just basically dismissed me. I had a plane to catch and thankfully was able to get another car last minute at Enterprise in Apple Valley! Oh, and then when I called Hertz corporate to get my refund, I never got through. They kept me on hold for over an hour. I finally had to Dispute it with my credit card company. Never again will I go to Hertz for car rentals! Take my advice and don’t go there!

The word unprofessional doesn't even begin to describe the service and staff at this location.Everyone here has a very poor attitude and it begins with the management who unfortunately leads by example when providing customer care and addressing customer concerns.But by far the worse representative at this location is a young woman who works there named "Mattie" she not only refuses to do the basic tasks that her job requires such as calling Hertz in Riverside to find out which vehicles are coming to their location but also has a negative attitude and is very rude and condescending.I rented a vehicle from this location and the vehicle smell literally like pee, I requested to have the vehicle changed for another but they told me they had no other option, I unfortunately needed a vehicle that day so I took it, only to find out that the vehicle they gave me didn't match in the system and wrong license plate had been inputted and when I was stopped by the police I was almost arrested because of a mistake they made, when I went to their office they didn't even apologize for making that mistake and refuse to refund the days I was unable to drive their vehicle, I returned the car and paid, a week later I unfortunately needed a vehicle again and they were the only choice available for the type of vehicle I needed, I made the reservation and "Mattie" said the vehicle I had made the reservation for wasn't available, she not only tried to put me on a smaller vehicle but also wanted to force me to purchase all their additional products which was bringing my rent from $260 weekly to almost $500 a week, when I asked why she daid that was what I had chosen and wouldn't explain further.I decided to just walk away.I want to warn you this place is a cesspool, if you can avoid please do.Hertz has been the worse, the last 3 times I have rented from them, but the Apple Valley location is by far the worst I have ever seen and dealt with.If there was a way to put zero starts I would, unfortunately I have to choose one star to leave this review.

Day? & Night??This Hertz location used to be my overall favorite rental car option in the high desert.It has been a few years since I last needed to rent but when a recent need arose it was a no-brainer to reserve with them.?Upon arrival, we received a very friendly greeting from both staffs. While one young lady promptly began our check-in process, the other was easing certitude with her humor and engaging convo. By the time that a mistake on my reservation was found that might've prevented my rental, they had discussed agreed upon then offered options to help me so smoothly that I almost missed the issue.I drove away pleased to find the experience as I remembered it.✅️ Good Prices✅️ Good selection✅️ Good service ( staff who consistently provide Quick, Smooth, and Pleasant ✔️in & ✔️outs)??Yesterday, a week later, I return with another reservation hoping to rent the same but expecting another vehicle due to the availability
