We work with CareMark and Caremark specialty for critical prescriptions related to transplant recipient prescriptions. CareMark or its specialty partner dropped the ball on an important refill which caused my wife to run out. This proved to be a significant time-kill. After hours of calls, customer service frustration, my wife was able to get Caremark to send 4 pills to try to bridge some of the days between when the script was tentatively going to arrive. Caremark, in the late afternoon, sent the script to our local CVS pharmacy. That pharmacy did not have the meds in stock. In an extreme pinch, and under their significant work-load, the Pharmacist at Rio del Mar, Aptos store, contacted another local CVS at 7:20 PM. Both pharmacies at that late hour were inundated with work. The Pharmacist was able to reach Pharmacist (Ms. Thanh) and she confirmed they had the pills. I arrived at the CVS and I was greeted by Michele (Hero). Expecting and fearing the worst, she was amazing. She found the information and swiftly worked with the pharmacist (Thanh) to fill the temporary script minutes before closing.These staffers should be commended. This was not an ordinary script, this was critical medication. The staff, not knowing the importance of the meds nor the time and frustration that had occurred getting to this point - acted with the utmost professionalism, care and follow-thorough - even tho they were buried under end of their end of shift deadlines and work.While most of the CVS pharmacy staff are decent, this service and acumen went above and beyond cleaning up the mishap that was not their doing.

The store itself is nice. The staff in the front of the store is friendly and helpful. The problem is the pharmacy. They never have enough help, and the male clerk is extremely slow. It takes forever to get in and out.

Like others have said the pharmacy is HORRIBLE. Rude workers arguing with customers. Super long wait times, and nothing is right or in stock. This place is off my list. The reviews on here speak volumes. Dont go here if you can help it.

Super nice guy was greeting people as they walked in and pointing them to what they needed. He was making jokes and made it a really enjoyable atmosphere to just grab something quick. Didn't catch his name but a good representation of the brand and store.

this place sucks. sucks sucks sucks. never had medications in stock. people in pharmacy are rude. literally have to come back 3 times every time I need to get A perscription. Such a waste of time.

Do not leave or verbalize any feedback as it will be shared with the staff and will be used as retaliation and or retribution against you. I was told by the pharmacist that she read all my feedback from my online reviews and no longer wanted to serve me at her pharmacy so she would get any more negative reviews. I was told I had to go to another pharmacy from now on. This is not a legitimate legal reason for feedback without punishment or legal retribution.

Boy if you want to be yelled at by the pharmacist in the back thinking he is all that this is the place for you!I had a question if I signed up for the right Covid booster and he was so bothered by my question when he was trying to explain/ yell it to me his face was turning red, Between him and the woman that was not willing to even try to help me I ended up canceling my appointments for myself and my two kids. I feel sorry for all the seniors that go into this place because they will be completely attacked for having a question. I called and talked to Jeff the manager he confirmed that the way I got treated was not OK he apologized numerous times.

This review is related to COVID-19 vaccinations at the CVS in Aptos. Process was easy and on time. They had a separate check-in window for vaccines - and it was clearly marked. I took my daughter to a different pharmacy (different company) and stood in the main line for 20+ minutes to just check-in. Here, the appointment was on time, too. The pharmacist who helped us (there were two of us) was professional, nice, and engaging.

Great service and the staff is wonderful!!!Every time that I had a problem, they made an effort to help!CVS is great, the problem is that in Aptos any successful business is bad and only dysfunctional small businesses get local support.Aptos and are disconnected from real life.All big retails: CVS, Safeway, rite aid, etc, is bad.
