Claro's Italian Markets is one of the best Italian markets around and a gem of a location. It offers a great selection of Italian food and drink, including canned tomatoes, jarred veggies, dry pasta, olive oils, traditional Balsamic vinegars, olives, condiments, and specialty items from Italy. The market also features solid pastries like cannolis and a hot food section with meatballs. It is hands down the best sandwich shop, with the best proper East Coast sandwiches like the spicy mike, meatball sub, angry joe, and the grandpa. The staff are attentive and kind. While the refrigerated combo sub can be disappointing, ordering at the counter is recommended for a generous sub.
