This grocery store, a bold representation of late-stage capitalism with a distinct Asian twist, left a lot to be desired. The experience felt intrusive as the proprietor constantly shadowed us, making the exploration of exorbitantly priced items like $40-per-dozen eggs and pink pineapple less enjoyable. These items can be found for less at local outlets like H Mart. The ambiance was unsettling, akin to navigating a deserted marketplace under constant surveillance. The fruits, contrary to glowing reviews, lacked freshness. We left empty-handed and dissatisfied.Given the overpricing, questionable quality, and the uninviting atmosphere, I'm pessimistic about the store's future. Unless significant changes are made, I foresee a tough road ahead, perhaps with only six more months of operation. Remember folks, just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's better.

The only good thing about this place is they sell fruits that are not available elsewhere. It's a very small place with not much inventory. Service is a bit too strict. As one shops, the owners were following the shopper's every move which is uncomfortable. They probably mean well but it doesn't sit well with most people like me.

It's a nice little convenience store. I came here specifically to buy Harry's berries. Normally I can get them for $14 at the farmers market. But I wanted to check out and support this small grocery store. I saw on the fridge when I came in a whole new cox full of little containers of Harry's berries with a sign that says "don't touch or employees only" I can't remember but basically saying customers cannot touch them. They instead had some strawberries placed out of the box and wanted customers to pick up the strawberries laying out already. I get it, you want to sell the older produce before you put out the new ones. But if I'm paying $18 for strawberries. I really don't want to buy overriped and about to mold strawberries. Harry's Berries can sit out for at least a week and half before they start getting gross. But I could tell the box of strawberries I got have been there for a little bit.I'm quite disappointed and don't think I'll be back. And another thing I don't like is, when I picked the strawberries a worker came immediately after me to rearrange the strawberry boxes as if I made a mess and she needed to reorganize.

When I went to this store, most of the stock of what they heavily advertise (which were the unique fruits) were not even available. So since there were no fruits, I started walking around looking in the aisles. There were very little customers, so the workers were just standing around. There was this one man who was not helping anyone, but he kept peaking at me and seemed like he was following me when I was just trying to browse. This made me super uncomfortable, I'm not sure if they are worried if I was stealing? But I left quickly after that.

It's funny reading all the one star reviews stating flies everywhere with a bad smell when Hey Den is in fact one of the cleanest store in the area. But hey, if you're leaving a one star because you were caught stealing and your picture is posted on the front door, I can understand. The service they offer at Hey Den is absolutely phenomenal, staffs always help customers carrying grocery to their cars which you don't ever see at other Asian markets. Hey Den has been serving Arcadia since 2021, providing top quality products and supporting our local schools and community. Please stop by and support the business that is supporting our local schools and community.
