It’s too bad. I want to add SSN, work card, and transfer money to their bank, but they refuse me... I don’t want to deal with HSBC anymore.

They don't cash checks to non customers, bad policy, because it limits the business for their own customers.

HSBC's website advertizing makes it look like it is a special bank that you can access your US accounts from other countries. NO - ALL LIES!I went to the branch today and was told that the only way to access my US account money while in another country, is to use their US-issued ATM card...Duh! How is that any different than any other US bank??Take down your "global" language garbage HSBC. You are just a want-to-be, and I will bank with Citi or Chase instead - they can do things that you can't, and they don't lie about it.

Horrible customer service. Tried to open an account so I could use ATMs in London,UK. Went to Arcadia branch that's closed but moved down the street next to IHOP. Waited patiently but receptionist was busy taking care of senior with cash issues. There are no tellers nor sign-in system to queue up. People walk in and if you speak Mandarin, you get priority. I find out BofA partners with Barclays and their ATMs are in London too. Apparently they don't need my business.

This is by far the most cooperative HSBC I've ever been to. I can only speak on my experience with Jonathan - who has been super helpful. I am not a client of HSBC anymore but I needed bank statements from previous years and all the other branches didn't show much interest in wanting to help me. I still haven't received all the bank statements and so I will post an updated review and a new rating when I do but the overall initiative to help out has been really present at the Arcadia branch and from Jonathan. He has also been super patient and kind. Thanks Jonathan!

I dealt with William Chou today. He was efficient and knowledgeable. Transaction took double the time it was supposed to take due to slow operating system that kept on freezing. That is not his fault and probably the reason for the inefficient service.

WARNING - Jonathan Ni, the HSBC Arcadia, CA branch manager has manipulated and gaslighted my my 88 year old mother who opened an account there because of a misleading promotion. She met every requirement but he never paid my mother the promotional fee, it is a SCAM.

Recently, I have visited HSBC in Arcadia, CA 90017, and would like to give my personal honest recommendation to the Bank for their future level of upgrade. First, I read a lot of customers' negative review including personal attacks coming from anger. But most of them, from my experience are not true. They come out from irrational anger caused by impatience, and lack of understanding of the banking process and HSBC's background. As a repeat customer, I have been assured that HSBC employees follow their policies and protect the customers' security and account information. Although HSBC generally provides a good, dependable services and products, they carry out their own business in a different way from other banks. It is not as efficient as it should be. They should upgrade banking hardware, software and network, so that their working bees like tellers, loan officers, personal bankers, and so on can perform their tasks/job fast in a more simplified, efficient and accurate way. There should also be more employees at the windows to help customers especially in peak hours. I have noticed that some windows are unstaffed at times. If HSBC can improve upon these two points, it can maintain its position in the competitive banking world and uphold its international banking system.

Absolutely the rudest experience ever. The staff (if you can call them that) have ZERO IDEA of customer service.
