Today, my world changed!!
I usually don’t write online reviews—especially negative ones. I run a business myself and know firsthand how reviews can sometimes be unfair, written from a narrow personal perspective without considering the full picture. So I try to give places the benefit of the doubt.
But after my experience with Clarity Advanced Optometry—along with my wife’s—I feel it's important to share what happened, in case it helps someone else make a better-informed decision.
I visited Clarity once, about a year and a half ago, when I couldn’t get a timely appointment at Linden Optometry, where I had normally gone. Clarity seemed like a convenient alternative.
At the appointment, I explained some concerns I had with my vision, but they didn’t seem to be taken seriously. I was given the same prescription as before. I also bought both contacts and glasses as part of a bundle discount.
When I picked up the glasses and tried them on, I told the young staff member that everything looked “too clear.” He smiled and said, “More clearly is better!!”—but the glasses ended up giving me headaches and were unusable.
In April, my wife went to Clarity for an eye exam and got a new prescription. She didn’t start using the new lenses right away—she had a lot of her old ones left, and the new ones took time to ship. When she finally tried them, she found it hard to see up close, which caused real problems in daily life.
When we reached out to return the unused lenses, we were told the 30-day return window had passed—even though she couldn’t use them and hadn't opened them immediately.
Eventually, she figured out a better prescription on her own and ordered lenses online, which are now working well. But the $600 spent at Clarity was effectively wasted.
Today, I returned to Linden for the first time since that visit to Clarity. They rechecked my eyes and told me the prescription was off. They gave me trial lenses, and as soon as I put them on, everything became clear again—even the original issues I had brought up at Clarity were resolved instantly.
Looking back, it feels like both exams at Clarity were inaccurate, and more importantly, that the staff didn’t really try to help when things didn’t work out. If you genuinely care about your eyesight and expect thoughtful care, I strongly suggest thinking twice before going to Clarity Advanced Optometry.

Everything went so great today - amazing customer service from everyone. The doctor is also so thorough and took care of things very quickly. I was even able to get my eyeglasses within 30 minutes of completing my appointment. So great! Cannot recommend this Lens Crafters enough. Thank you all!

This is my first time visiting Lens Crafter for my eye glasses, Tiffany greeted me and asked what could she help me with. I told her I wanted to get the Meta smart glasses with prescription lenses. She told me the doctor is available if I wanted to do the eye exam done immediately. Dr. Wong did the eye exam for me, she was very nice and courteous, she answered all my questions. After the eye exam, Tiffany helped me picked out my glasses, she took her time to help me find what I need, and she offered me a second pair of glasses at 50% off. I ended up buying two pairs of glasses, and I was a happy customer.

I had a great experience going to Lens Crafters. Everyone was very friendly and they helped me pick out the perfect lenses for me. Oscar and Jonathan were very nice and made sure everything was taken care of.

I absolutely loved my experience at LensCrafters & Clarity Advanced Optometry! Dr. Chiou and Dr. Murakami are so courteous, knowledgeable, and professional and make an anxious patient feel at ease with how they take their time explaining things so thoroughly! The staff at LensCrafters (Jose, Ashley, Kaitlin & Malika) were also very pleasant, efficient, helpful and warm with how graciously they welcome a customer from when they first enter all the way until they leave after the exam and purchase. (While I did not get a chance to interact with any of the other staff, I also observed them being very polite and professional to the customers they were serving). I would highly recommend going here for all your optometry related needs.

Dr. Murakami was great, she was thorough with the eye exam, listened to my concerns and asked questions. I was informed of results, explained images and all my questions were answered. Overall I had a great experience.

I was examined very quickly and professionally with the excellent equipment this office has. Also the doctor worked patiently to fine tune my prescription. I wear glasses all the time so the frames have to be very comfortable. The Tiffany frames I picked were exactly what I wanted and were so comfortable I didn’t mind the price. The technician was very careful to get all the measurements done correctly and I can’t wait for them to be ready for me to pick up next week.

The optometrist here is AMAZING.She is patient and thorough, and speaking as a person who who is literally legally blind, I never have to worry about getting a prescription that isn't accurate…like I used to. I am reading my phone right now with no squinting for the first time in a year. She even gave me a pair of new contacts to try before I buy an expensive six month supply, just to make sure.This location has (what I perceived to be) state of the art equipment and a beautiful new space in the mall so you can shop before or after your appointment!They also have a great staff who was VERY friendly. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Won’t go anywhere else from now on.

Selection is not as much as other Lens Crafters store but I was able to find the frames I like.Dr Murakami, is efficient and thorough.
