I went in with my girlfriend and purchased a few hats. Most of them looked faded. We asked an employee about the black LA hat with a small white rose on the side. He said they didn't have them but we could customize one with it. We even showed him the previous hat with the rose. He said that specific rose wasn't available to patch on but there was a skull with a red rose that we could patch on as small as the white rose. We paid for the hats and the customization. We were told we would get a text message once the hat was ready which would be 10 minutes. We decided to go to the food court while we wait. After ordering food and eating we still hadn't received a text. We decided to just wait in the store since it was taking longer than expected. Two new rude employees, one turned out to be the manager Jessica, showed us the botched hat. We explained it wasn't the correct size or color. Both employees said it would be impossible to get the size we wanted without ruining the patch. Why weren't we told that? This isn't the product we were promised. When we told the employees this is not what we paid for they both got defensive saying it didn't matter what we were told. The manager Jessica said no refunds and they weren't going to give us a different hat and it's not their fault because this is what we purchased. I'm not surprised to see all the complaints this store location has and now I can verify the manager complaints. We regret coming to this store. We love hats but this experience just lowered Lids' value. I regret purchasing from them.

Got there at 7:50 to buy a hat before a trip. It was closed with a sign on the door about coming back in ten minutes. I had some time so I waited. 10 minutes passed and noticed the cashier was already closing the register and counting bills. I was standing right outside the door and smiled at her politely a few times, but she just rolled her eyes and kept counting bills and receipts. I really needed the hat so I waited for ten more minutes and she went and turned off the lights!! I walked away and came back a couple of minutes later to take a picture of the 10 minutes sign and the store with lights off, but they were on again and the person was counting bills again. I guess she just wants to leave at 9 sharp and not be stuck finishing her job for another hour, but Jesus, just get a job that closes earlier if you don't like it. Super disrespectful to customers, and she's definitely taking advantage of lack of supervision or corporate care. If interested I can send the time stamped pictures to confirm they are closing earlier than they were hired for.

Wanted to get another hat from Lids that I had previously gotten where I had an expression that contains the word "Bitches" in it stitched on. Employee was very helpful making the arrangements. It wasn't until I was all the way to my car when the employee calls me and says his manager put the kaibosh on the job because "they don't do profanity." A) this isn't the first time I've had this job done at Lids so what's with the new rules and B) Bitches" is a word that can be said on television and radio any time of the day and is so ingrained in our public lexicon that it hasn't moved the morality needle of pearl clutchers for a couple of decades. Also- this "standard" seems rich coming from a place that still sells clothing with racist logos that many in this country would consider truly obscene. In order to get my refund I had to hoof it back to the store and I was looking forward to asking this manager for a list of "obscene" words that Lids isn't allowed to write since they seemed confident "Bitches" surely must be one of them but they were nowhere to be found, I can only presume they were hiding in the back room. I mean, wow. Grow up. Bumper Sticker morality don't make a company moral. So don't expect to be allowed to be a grownup at kids...I mean Lids.

I swung by a week ago and they had a small rack at the front of the store with authentic MLB caps. I tried one on in my size and the fit was perfect. I didn't buy it as I was meeting a friend at the movies and didn't feel the need to spend at the time. I come back today and the rack is gone and the ones they do have at my size are too tight. This experience summarizes my experiences at this store - disappointing. I almost never score here, and it seems like they have same stuff every week. I don't want to buy fitteds (or any hat for that matter) online because I can't try it on first.

Went to the Lids at the Santa Anita Mall to get a custom hat made for a friend. The representative from the store, Aracely, couldn't have been more helpful. She made sure the entire process went smoothly. Only took an hour so I was able to stroll around the mall while I waited. She even called me just to make sure I wanted the font in ALL CAPS! I also wanted to give a shout out to Liz for creating the hat & making sure it was all correct. Great service! I would definitely recommend LIDS to my friends and family.

Never buy online from Lids. Their website operates like a scam site with pop ups and links to other websites for supposed discounts if you sign up for more stuff. When i bought my hat the site advertised free shipping everywhere. Like it was a huge promo. Then i was charged shipping at checkout. They are sneaky about it to. You won't know until after they take your payment. When I recieved my hat the tag in the hat said one size and the label said a different size. It fit weird as well. I I could tell it was a second quality product they shipped me. They also charge $9.99 to return the hat. My experience was like dealing with scammers. Online Buyers Beware!

I walked in the the store on Thursday 09/15/22 at approx 1:30pm (I was the only one in the store), made eye contact and smiled at the girl working, and asked her how she was doing. She ignored me and I jokingly said, “I’m good thanks for asking.” Then she began following me around the store as if I were going to steal. Fire this bi***. Personal message to the owner: I was going to spend money at your store but decided not to because of her. Unless you’re piping her, she isn’t good for business. And if you are, you ain’t doin’ it right!!

Arrived at 10:20am to get a name on a cap. Told it would be an hour. Arrived at 12:15 to pick up and they couldn't find it. When finally found, it was still undone. Told another 1.5 hour. No apologies, no discount, no put to the front of the line. Turns out they took the hat and my money and left it on a counter. They were not busy we got there. We should have been treated better.
