Excellent products, but shockingly unprofessional customer service at the Santa Anita Mall MAC location. If a 0-star option existed, this experience would deserve it

I really like MAC and I love using their products. Every time I go in to test shades or get help choosing products, the staff is friendly and always willing to help. However, when it comes to getting your makeup done and making an appointment, I have now experienced two unfortunate incidents.
The first was for my graduation. They only had one makeup artist working because someone had called out. She did her best, but she was the only one there managing the whole station. She was only able to complete half my face before I had to leave because it was taking too long and I needed to make it to my ceremony on time.
The second time happened for Halloween. I booked an appointment knowing it is one of the busiest times of the year, but they called me the morning of my appointment to cancel. Again, they only had one makeup artist and a manager working. It was very disappointing because I had no time to make other plans or find another place to go. They did not offer any compensation or recommendations for another option, they just canceled and left me to figure it out on my own.
I really love MAC and their products, but I think they need to schedule more artists, especially during busy times and special events. It is very frustrating to plan ahead and book an appointment only to have it canceled last minute.

Jannette helped me out and she really knew all of the products and was able to explain what products worked best for my skin tone. She was so friendly and fun to talk to and had the best customer service. When I need a refill on products I'm going back to Jannette !

I had the most terrible shopping experience with MAC. Do not shop online for MAC products. I used the 'try it on' app on their website and bought three lipsticks and gloss. However, when they arrived, the colors didn't suit me, and they weren't the true colors. I contacted customer service to exchange the colors, but they told me they couldn't just exchange the products; I had to return them, and I wouldn't get the discount. I was furious because it didn't make any sense. I wouldn't need to exchange them if the colors actually suited me. Plus, I don't want to return everything because I've already used some of them a couple of times. The whole situation was a joke. I might not spend a lot of money on MAC, but 80% of the cosmetic items I have are from MAC. However, the store staff was extremely helpful, I give him 5 stars. If not weren’t him, I’ll give it 0 stars. So, shop at the store, not online!!!!

Omg only had one person working at 8 pm. Waited for my turn to buy exactly what I wanted. And never got my turn after waiting 10 min. Never said sorry or soon will help you etc. so I walked out. The guy with blue hair. ( didn't get his nane ) etc went to Nordstrom to buy my cosmetics

The customer service is poor. Two individuals were working. The store was completely empty. I was the only shopper I gave it a few minutes because I thought maybe they were speaking about their job but they weren't they were laughing and speaking about some thing and unrelated. Let me make it clear that when I entered, they both made eye contact with me-they didn't greet me. It was obvious that I was shopping, and I even looked back at them because I did have a question and they completely ignored me.

I had a very bad experience today in this MAC store, I went in because I thought previous makeup artist is there But today I had a appointment with makeup artist Janet worst person in this earth! She is very mean and I think she is mentally unstable the way she talked and her words are very rude I can't understand why MAC is hiring people like that People..if this lady is there don't go and manager also very rude not helpful at all

I haven’t bought MAC in a long time… I went in for an eye primer and ended up buying a lot more. Maria was such a big help, she answered all my questions and helped me with my concerns.

Went here today and left very happy! Aly, Kat, Janette and Lupita were all so helpful - who knew my foundation was too dark? They did! I can't wait to show off my new (natural looking) shade! Thank you!!!

I went to this MAC store yesterday to recycle old make up . First...I'm sorry to see this wonderful program being discontinued this week. But I really wanted to compliment the staff in the store . Effron was so courteous and helpful over the phone and Lupita helped me choose replacement product and colors . They really spent time with me and didn't make me feel like an old lady who didn't know what she was doing. This will be my store of choice when buying for my daughter and granddaughter. Thank you for the free lipsticks!

A great MAC location with helpful staff. Small size means less selection but all the essential lipsticks and makeup are there.

I first went to the MAC booth in Nordstrom and had a few products in mind. The staff didn’t know what I was looking for and were standoffish. I walked over to this MAC store and Meeghan helped me out right away. She’s super friendly and knew her products. Such a different experience! Def coming back here for my MAC shopping.
