No surprise Taiwanese food. Consider expensive given the quality.

Very tasty, affordable, authentic Taiwanese food. Parking is also great! It is cash only I think. But there is an ATM in the parking lot.

Cash only, and they're closed on Tuesdays.

This place is a typical Taiwanese home eatery. Food tastes authentic and price is very affordable. They only take cash.

Love this place as they offer affordable authentic Taiwanese food. Surprisingly they do offer hot grass jelly dessert. Beef soup noodle and fish balls are a must. This is a busy small place, so be prepared there is a waiting time. Will go back again if we are in L.A.

I don't come here often but each time, I just totally enjoy the dishes I have. They hit the spot and this place makes my culinary world complete. As a matter of fact, it dawned on me after the latest takeout haul (and I mean haul ) that as I was looking for another house, it'd better be within a 45-minute drive from this place!! Service is fast and good.

If I have a visitor in town and ask me to take him to try out some authentic Taiwanese restaurants, DinTaiFung (the original store in Arcadia) would be my first option. SinBala would be the second! I've been coming to SinBala for years and I've never found a dish here is not authentic. The owner is Taiwanese! Everything is legit! We seldom go on weekends cause we hate the wait, but the waiting time during weekdays isn't too bad! Sometimes, we just get seated right away. Oh, and you gotta try their sausages, that's my number 1 recommendation of this place. It tastes like the grilled sausages we get from the street, but a cleaner version. You can buy from them too, I think 8 or 10 sausages in a bag, I'm not so sure the numbers but it's so good! It teaches you how to cook it and it's actually very easy to make at home! Highly recommend. I also recommend you to try their shaved ice, they let you choose 5 toppings and I think they use brown sugar, the most traditional way, to mix with it! That's how we do shaved ice! Toppings are all delicious too! Thumbs up! There are really so many good stuff for you to try out, like papaya milk, meat ball, pork rice cake with cilantro, stewed dishes, squid stew soup with noodles (oh I love this dish), literally too many! Def a hidden gem in the 626 area! We LOVE this place! Note: CASH ONLY!!!

If you ever want to know what it feels like to eat a home cooked meal from a Taiwanese mom, this is the place to stop by. The attraction of this place is as if you went to a friends house and their mom whip up something warm and homey for you to eat! The most popular dishes and the dishes people making order are the first three rice plates. All three plates comes with corn, tomato egg, cabbage, and a dollop of minced meat on top of a plate of rice in addition to your protein of choice. The tomato egg, cabbage, and corn is all seasoned and cooked nicely. The rice is also the texture I love, not too dry and a little on the stickier side. I normally order the fried chicken plate (4.5/5) and the chicken is crunchy and juicy. This time around, I ordered the pork chop plate and I was a bit disappointed. The pork chop (2/5) was extremely extremely paper thin and it was just like eating breading. The breading has good flavor but I wish there was more a lot pork chop and less breading. The sausages plate (4/5) is always pretty solid and tasty. I love how this place is simple and replicates a home cooked meal. The prices are very reasonable for such a huge portion. Flavor is all there but they may be a little skimpy on protein.

Cash only spot but worth it! I just the variety that they have and the sausages and eggs are definitely on the top of my list!

A very quick place to get Taiwanese food on a budget. Staff are non-descript and no personalty but get the job done. Food is large in portion any way too much for me to eat. Be sure to try the green onion flat bread as it's flavorful and addicting. Water is free, with a pitcher for each table. Be sure to bring plenty of cash because no plastic is taken for payment. Not the most fun dining, but efficient...

First time but came with former regulars, even they said it's gone downhill a little. Ordered the wonton soup with rice noodle but it came with vermicelli (they said that's what they call rice noodle)....wasnt blown away. Also tried their famous beef noodle soup which we asked if it was spicy since my wife is pregnant and my father in law can't eat hot food, they said very mild, it was more like medium! Final dish was the cold noodle, I'm not a huge fan of it but my wife and FIL love it and even ordered extra to go. If it wasn't for that it'd be a 2 star from me.

The most authentic sausage rice you'll ever find in the heart of Arcadia. I used to come here very often to either get their fried chicken leg rice or sausage rice. They're known for their sausage rice! Each entree comes with sides: corn, cabbage, and tomato egg. They're all so delicious! The rice is fluffy too. As for sides, I love their fried fish cakes. They make them so thin and crispy here, it's the best! For dessert, you can get their shaved ice. It's decently priced and the perfect size to share to finish off your meal. Tip: It's cash only here! Remember to have cash in hand before getting seated.

I'm Taiwanese so I know tasty authentic Taiwanese food when I see it, and SinBala is definitely up there! When I crave Taiwanese food, SinBala is one of the top places in SoCal to get my fix. The line is always pretty long, and don't get me started on the tiny parking lot. We've always had to circle a few times and pray to get a spot. But trust me, the wait is very worth it! My favorite dish to get here is the Taiwanese Sausage Rice. It comes with a large serving of rice, Taiwanese sweet sausage, egg, corn, and cabbage. The portion is huge and can feed 2 not too hungry people. I think the plate used to come with fresh raw garlic, but now you need to ask for it. The waitress gave us a huge bowl! I love sandwiching a piece of garlic between two pieces of sausage. YUM. I also enjoy the Pork Chop Rice and Beef Noodle Soup here. Only downside is that the restaurant is cash only.

Can't remember that I had decent homemade style Taiwanese food. However, this spot is LEGGGGGIT SON. Their Porkchop Fried Rice and Oyster pancake was on point. I'd skip their noodle dishes though. Their Zha Jiang Mian was very ehh... It felt like good ol' Taipei when I was sitting in the restaurant. Enjoy. JY

Mmm-mmm, this place is good! Home cooking, Taiwanese style. Everything I've had is delicious. Must try the "popcorn" chicken & be sure to eat it hot when it just comes out.

I've been going here since I was a kid with my parents. My orthodontists office was across the street, so we would always end up in this shopping plaza afterwards for lunch and grocery shopping, and this spot was one of the regulars we'd hit up for lunch, so long as the line wasn't too crazy. Even after my braces came off, we still came here because the food is so good. It's classic Taiwanese food, and is on par with that that I've had in Taiwan. My go to is the fried pork chop plate with rice, scrambled eggs, corn, cabbage, and minced pork. My family usually gets either dry noodles or beef noodle soup, and then we'll get sides of the popcorn chicken, the Taiwanese sausage, and some sort of greens. We always order way too much, on purpose, so we can take stuff home to eat later. This place also does Taiwanese dessert, shaved ice, boba, etc etc. It is SOLID.

Rating only based on the shaved ice dessert and plain vegetable dish. The shaved ice is a generous portion, but is more like a slush (with large ice granules) and didn't have much flavor to it. The vegetable was not very flavorful and was uncharacteristically bitter. The interior decorations overall is as expected for a casual cafe. The service was pretty good, would have given a higher rating if the food was better.

I have tried Taiwanese beef noodle many times , but by far this was the best !!! The broth was so rich and flavorful and the beef was high quality and perfectly tender ... great noodles too... The sweet sausage was good and the spicy garlic wantons blew me away !!.. so garlicky just the way I like it

We like this place for a simple Taiwanese meal aka sausage rice, their most popular item. Personally, I'm not a fan of it but I know they have many other dishes that make up for it! My friends love the sausage rice and I love their cold noodles. Their cold noodles come in a box with garlic, peanut sauce, and chili sauce. You mix all the good stuff in there and take a big bite full of flavor. I definitely was not disappointed and was happy to find chicken bites in my noodles as well! We also ordered their radish cake with oyster sauce and that came out nicely fried and crispy. Last, we got their XLBs which was amazing as well. Their prices are a bit high for their food, but this place is becoming more and more popular. I think I have tried other things here and it's always been pretty standard. It is cash only!

I've tried the pork chop rice, beef noodle soup, and Chia yi chicken rice The pork chop rice was delicious would highly recommend. CHia yi chicken rice was not what I expected. It was good but not authentic like the ones I had in Taiwan( possibly because the portion was huge); probably won't order the chicken rice again and will try something else next time. Beef noodle soup was ok Some others were eating their cold noodle and it looked pretty good! Will try it next time.

You can have a lot of food with a good price. But CASH only!! They didn't have a waring post in their store.

Cash only! I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup + sausage dish. The sausages were really good and they came with pieces of garlic. The beef noodle soup was also pretty good. The pieces of beef were super tender and flavorful. I was worried that the soup might be too spicy for me so they gave me a side of extra soup (non spicy) to dilute the soup for me if it was too spicy. Turns out it really wasn't that spicy at all so I didn't use it, but it was nice of them to provide it!

Ordered the fried pork chop rice, Taiwanese meatball, traditional sausage, and beef onion rice bowl. The fried pork chop rice was on the smaller size. The paired veggies/sides were nothing to write home about - a bit bland in fact. The meatball was drown in a really runny vinegary sauce with heavy bamboo aftertaste. Wasn't a fan. The sausage for $2.50 a bit overpriced - maybe two bites? The beef onion rice bowl was the best dish we got but was it really Taiwanese? Didn't think it was worth the drive to Arcadia. So many better Taiwanese options here in San Gabriel.

TIP: - CASH ONLY For years and years and years, this place has been my go to Taiwanese restaurant. PROS: - large portions! everything is sharable - sausage rice - chicken leg rice - fried fish rice - spicy beef noodle soup - good sized restaurant - so many options on the menu so everyone can find something - decent prices, especially considering how much food you get - shaved ice dish is so good (but price has gone up over the years) - ordering to-go is a very convenient option and the food keeps very well! - usually not too hard to find parking in the lot CONS: - cash only - shaved ice dessert is pretty expensive now - during popular dinner times the wait can get pretty long - sometimes the parking lot can get congested (located in a busy plaza)
