I’ve traveled across California using Airgas as my supplier for all things welding and safety. . I would have to say this location is by far the best Airgas I have been to. The staff is knowledgeable and make you feel appreciated. They go above and beyond to find the right products I am looking for. And when they can’t find something. They always give me two or three comparable to choose from.
Highly recommend this store.

Jack took the time to help me with an older XLIX miller helmet, helped call the sales rep and spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to figure out a replacement battery. 10/10 service and a great guy.

Staff is super helpful! Jack truly went above and beyond to help me get my acetylene torch back up and running. He was kind, patient and took the time to really explain some of the details when he could have just rung me up and sent me on my way. Really appreciate the support for local artists and students!

Arcata airgas has been nothing but a pleasure to work with these past three years. They are always prompt and quick in their reply’s to my emails and answering any questions I have. They also are a tremendous help to my students in acquiring required gear for the welding classes at CR. Highly recommend them to other programs and people.

I like this store. They fill tanks that Eureka Oxygen won't fill. I dealt with Jack today and He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Just talking about my experience dealing with this place. I'll be a repeat customer.

The previous review about Jack is absolutely the truth. Jack will sell you the wrong product, then when you confirm that it's wrong and try to take it back, he's troublesome. An employee request. O35 inter shield. (No Gas) Jack, out of spite, sold him the wrong wire. Jack was mad because we had previously made an order too large and had to return some material. Today, Jack told me to find a different Air Gas to return the wrong products he suggested using. (He's supposed to know the products, but doesn't) I went in wearing a mask today, but when I saw his employees were not wearing them I pulled mine down a bit to reduce the fog on my glasses. Jack told me to go outside if I wasn't going to wear a mask. I pointed out that his workers were not wearing masks and they promptly pulled them up. Jack then pushed the return back to me, at told me to find a different store to return the product to. I pushed the product back at him and told him to F off. As I left, Jack threw the material into the back of my truck. Poor Jack. Jack unfortunately signed up for a costumer service job and needs a lot of training. After speaking with other local vendors I found that many others have had similar experiences with Jack.
