Almquist Lumber is the only place in Humboldt County to find a great selection of hardwood, including local woods and special slabs. It offers an amazing display of wooden items, furniture, wood and lumber of all varieties, and tools galore. It is a cabinet maker's dream and an outstanding place to do business. The staff is helpful and friendly. While sometimes it is difficult to find someone to help, it remains a favorite lumber store with lots of great stuff and unique wood, highly recommended by its customers.

The only place in Humboldt County to find a great selection of hardwood. I particularly like their having local woods, thus being able to avoid rare hardwood that is likely not taken sustainably. Sometimes it is difficult to find someone to help you and not everyone is friendly.

I love walking through the isles of this place and dreaming of what I could create if only I knew how and had the tools! So much beautiful and unique wood. My go to spot when we want a special slab of wood like the one we just installed for our pass through.
