We had a small propane tank for our single gas fireplace which we rarely used. After not using it for a year or so - we had the tank removed. It took months for the tank to be picked up after the order was placed. I then got a bill for about $150 for removal of the tank. Funny how there is no fee to start service. We grudgingly paid that and were glad to be done with Amerigas. A month or so later - another bill for $160! Another call to Amerigas and they claimed this was for tank rental. So - to have the tank I was not using removed - I am out $300. This is after paying years of bills for propane. Very POOR customer relations. I would not use this company again.

New customer-delivery never came. Called for days, customer service said keep waiting. I was finally told there was too much snow in our yard for the tech so he couldn’t deliver. See pic of snowy yard

I contacted Ameri-Gas on 1/2/23. They said I would have a delivery by 1/9/23. They never came! I called today 1/10/23. They said they didn't have a delivery set for me and that it would be another week or so before they could come. Now I understand the recent power outages in the area, but that shouldn't have an affect on getting propane delivery. I haven't had heat in my home for over a week. Now I gotta wait another week. Customer service had very broken English and could barely understand her. She asked if I was pleased with our conversation and I said no! Then she hung up on me. I assumed it was a dropped call, but they have my number on file and nobody has called me back. I'm gonna buy the largest tank possible and start filling it myself. My back can't lift anything heavy but I'm tired of dealing with little to no customer service when I'm paying for a service. It's currently $5.05 to have it delivered. I can easily take a tank down to the local station and have it filled for $3.89. Why so much more to have it delivered? Even when gasoline prices were at $7.21 for (87) delivery charges for propane were $4.29. Now with gasoline being $4.91 (87) it costs $5.05. That's price gouging. They know we need propane more often in the winter months so they Jack up the prices. I'm so fed up right now I can't clearly think straight because it's so damn cold in the house. I have waited for over a week and now I have to wait another week because someone is to incompetent to do a simple job.

I hadn't checked my propane tank's level, but I got an email from Amerigas alerting me that I might be getting low. I checked, and sure enough, I was at 30%. It was very easy to order. online, and the tank was filled within a very reasonable time period.

Me and my wife were promised a rate of 1.60 per gallon but when we got the bill we noticed it was 3.25 and we were overcharged 313.47, I spoke to a representative and kept on being told I would get my money credited into my account but I did not want that since I need that money for other expenses and it will be a year or so when I have to refill my propane tank, not to mention that it was there mistake and I should not have to suffer because of them. Needless to say I kept calling and they kept on telling me I would get my money back in the mail but this is 2 months in after I was overcharged and I call today and they told me that they had refunded me back to my account even thou I was told I was going to get a check in the mail. I'm furious this is the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with, they literally stole money from me because whose to say I won't sell my home and go somewhere where I don't need propane. So No I don't recommend this company to anyone!!!!

They closed all call centers at start of the pandemic and are now a useless, disconnected, anti customer service company. I can’t even get them to pick up my empty tanks after switching to Sequoia Gas.

They transitioned to the very corporate central calling center. No way to pay cash. No one that understands how deliveries work. If you are trying to get a rural propane delivery service I highly reccomend you look elsewhere.

Despite what their website says, they do NOT service small tanks (such as for an RV or a gas grill). According to the representative I spoke to the smallest tank they will work on is 250 gallons.

If I could give Amerigas -1 star I would. We used their services for about 1 year. Then they left us without propane for 7 days with no estimated time to refill. Which means no showers, no heater, and no hot water during WINTER. So, naturally, we decided to switch companies to Sequoia (wonderful). However, it took multiple phone calls just to cancel the service, then 3 months before they would refund us $640 for which they already pre-charged us but never delivered the propane. And now 4 months and 20+ phone calls later their ugly rusted tank is still taking up space on our beautiful property. Twice they have been scheduled to pick up however the tank is still there. I spoke with a "manager" who was not able to confirm when they could pick up the tank in the future nor could she even reschedule me a new date. 4 MONTHS later and there is still no estimated date for removal. Just about the worst customer and technical service I have ever experienced from a company.

Very poor customer service from a foreign call center. Unresposnive service team. Can't get them to come out and remove their tank after 4 calls!

These guys switched to a central call center a thousand miles away and the highschool kids they hired to assist customers can’t even operate a phone. I tried for 2 hours to order propane yesterday. I got disconnected three times, I had to explain how propane delivery worked to one representative while she argued with me that 80% of 120 gallons was 85 gallons (its 96), and I asked for a full on my tank anyways, not 85 gallons. None of them know how to do their job. I was so frustrated I just hung up on the 5th customer service representative after arguing with me and I still wasn’t able to order propane. I immediately called sequoia gas, spoke with a functioning adult who was able to help me set up an appointment to remove my America’s tank and install a sequoia tank & delivery service in 5 minutes.

Oh my gosh, I ordered 100 gallons of propane today. Amerigas charged me $4.83 a gallon. I said “wow the price of propane must of gone up” she than offered me $4.57 a gallon. I didn’t know there was so much flexibility on the price. I finished my order and decided to check what I paid 4 months ago, $3.71 per gal. That’s 86 cents more a gallon. I felt like Amerigas was gouging me so I decided to call Campora Propane.I AM SO THANKFUL I DID, $3.20 per gal. Can you believe that ? I’m saving $1.37 per gal. !!! I called Amerigas back to cancel my order and I explained why, their representative offered me the same $3.20 per gal. So Amerigas went from $4.83 per gal to $3.20 a gal. That’s a $1.60 per gal. Difference. I followed through with canceling my service with Amerigas because at this point I I didn’t feel like I could trust them anymore. If you have AmeriGas you might want to cut call and negotiate your price per gallon, but be prepared for it to change at any given notice.

Amerigas is a terrible horrible unresponsive company. This ugly rusty propane tank has been There is a deposit on the tank so we can't haul it off. it has been four months and they cannot come for 3-6 months for pickup- no date set! .Never ever use this company ! Sequoia gas is consumer friendly-always use them instead !
