The Arcata Community Pool is a well-liked local facility that offers a variety of amenities for the community. With great prices for day passes, 10-visit passes, and monthly memberships, the pool is clean and provides what visitors expect from a community pool. The pool features a fun slide that is often open, though the bathrooms could use more frequent maintenance. While most of the people at the pool are nice and respectful, there have been some concerns about individuals from the local transient population who may have mental health issues, leading to occasional disturbances in the hot tub and sauna area. The pool also used to host open kayak sessions, which the paddling community would like to see reinstated. Overall, the Arcata Community Pool is a great resource for the local area, especially with the well-received children's swim lessons led by instructors like the wonderful Victoria.
I enjoyed watching my grandkids swimming classes. Also watched other people swim for the exercise.

Lifeguards are well trained and the staff is very responsive. They have a exercise room and an outside hot tub for adults. Great for swim lessons and lap swimming. The water slide opens during public swim.

Nice place except lifeguards are constantly after you about little safety reasons and that gets old when trying play in the pool with kids. Locker room is full of naked old dudes, not very kid friendly in my opinion, no privacy areas
