What a great place to learn all about the marsh and the animals that call at home. Especially good for kids! Pull up in the drawers and cabinets and you'll find lots of games and entertainment for the little ones. The interpretive center plus the hiking around the marsh made for a great morning trip!

We stopped at Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary in March 2020 for field work, and it was such a peaceful, beautiful spot - I’d love to go back just for fun with my camera...the place was alive with so many birds and bugs

Saturday January 1st 2025 New Years Marsh Tour with FOAM - Friends of Arcata Marsh. This was my second tour in five years with FOAM, so far, the most insightful one. We got lucky with two tour guides and our small group. Gained new insights and perspectives into this local gem that fine drizzly morning.

Had a great marsh walk with a very informative woman by the name of Barbara. She knew her native plants, birds and fungi. I enjoyed the afternoon walk and will return again
