Arcata Speed Wash is a well-maintained laundromat that offers a pleasant experience for its customers. The place is extremely clean and well-kept, with a friendly and helpful attendant named Ray who provides excellent customer service. Ray is knowledgeable about the local area and shares interesting stories, making the wait time enjoyable. The laundromat has a good number of washing machines and dryers, although a few may be out of service at times. The prices are relatively cheap, with a small machine wash costing $4.50 and drying for $2 for 40 minutes. The dryers are efficient, and the attendant is willing to reimburse customers if a machine malfunctions. While some reviews mention issues with the machines or customer service, the majority of customers have had positive experiences at Arcata Speed Wash. The laundromat provides a chill and quiet environment, with the only potential downside being the occasional second-hand cigarette smoke from the staff.
It seemed like half of the machines are out of order and luckily it wasn't busy when we were there so we were able to use the 2 large washing machines since we had bedding to wash ($15 each) and $5 for the large dryer. I think only 1 was working. Friendly attendant.

Costs double what it should to do laundry here! There are other, friendlier places near by.

The manager was awesome very nice and the place was clean and lots of washers and dryers
