“This is a historic building on the plaza in arcata. Built in 1857 it and the hotel Arcata are the oldest buildings on the plaza in Arcata. During the christmas holiday they put a huge Christmas tree in the center of the building and Santa comes all the way from the Arctic Circle and visits. There is amazing detail in the woodwork and various businesses use the building. The plaza Grill is upstairs on the second floor. There are offices on the 3rd floor. I am still mystified how they get such a massive Christmas tree into such a small space. If you're feeling adventurous take the elevator, and yes, it feels like it's about to fall but never does.”

“GNC has a large variety of vitamin supplements to choose from. If you have any questions the salespeople here are very eager to help, but they may try push something you don't want. The prices are fair but even better when they have their 'buy one get one 50% off' sale.”

“We just went to Walmart. It's not that great of a Walmart but they definitely had enough of those electric wheelchairs that helped my Mobility problem. And I was real happy with my shopping experience. I wasn't too disappointed. I didn't really go there for food I went there for aluminum foil and non-food items.”

“Many closed stores and open spaces. But the businesses that ARE open have great workers. It has access to stores like Walmart, TJ MAXX, etc.--which is cool. There's also a DMV there (strange, but cool I guess?). I wish the signs were better to indicate where you were (only saw a few maps spread out). Nice place overall. Very clean with clean bathrooms. Nice.”
