Both ATMs are consistently not working. I get paid cash and work all the hours the branch is open. When I finally give up on the ATM and go inside, there is rarely a teller open to help. Long waits when I have a short break. The service has really deteriorated from the past.

Do not recommend! Worst customer service ever. The bank was empty and the extremely rude teller accused me of lying and told me I could not open up an account at that branch, but could open one at the Eureka branch if I liked. Her reasoning was that "she doesn't feel comfortable." That makes no sense that she was happy to schedule an appointment at the Eureka location but refused service to me at the Arcata branch. What a j****

Love your ATM, fast. quick print receipt...usually use Glendora, CA branch...takes FOREVER for transaction, (while waiting to be robbed) GOOD JOB!

I won't be back to dealing with this branch of US Bank in person because in my opinion- you need to have a basic understanding of math and customer service (polite attitude) to work at a bank. I went in to make a couple of transactions and was treated so rudely by one of the tellers. This teller felt the need to chime in on the private conversation between my teller and I. I wanted to order some checks and hadn't done so in about 5 years so I didn't remember much about the process and I asked for a few printed checks to get me by until my ordered checks came in. The teller I was working with said that using checks printed by US Bank ("bank checks") would cost an extra $2 per deposit. I said "oh that's not worth it IMO," and then began picking out my check design with my teller. I picked a design that was $15 for 30 checks. When the overbearing, rude teller chimed in and tried to tell me that $15.95 for 30 checks was $2.00 per check anyways... I corrected their math and told this teller that it would be closer to 50 cents per check instead. This teller was passive aggressive and talked to me with raised eyebrows in a demeaning tone and laughing at me the whole time I was in there. It felt like such an awful environment. I don't understand why this person is working in the customer service industry with such a passive aggressive attitude. I haven't had positive experiences at this bank in person since Laurie the old manager left the Arcata branch. I just wish that I felt good about continuing my banking here.

I called US Bank in Arcata to question a somewhat threatening letter regarding my accounts. I was helped immediately by a very politer day helpful gentleman who told me the letter I received was a scam. I am thankful for the quick response at this branch and for the helpful advise?
