We took our Atlas to the Volkswagen dealership in Santa Maria, to fix a problem of the car shutting off at slow speeds and having to manually restart, they said they duplicated the problem, but could not fix anything because there were no codes showing. I then called Bavarian Auto Haus, and Ben was extremely helpful in researching my problem and concluded what the underlying cause may have been. We took the car to Bavarian Auto Haus, and they pulled out the part, and it didn't seem to look suspect, but, Ben suggested replacing it regardless, as all of the research was pointing to this problem. We had them replace the part, and the car is finally fixed and no longer showing that problem. The people who work at Bavarian Auto Haus were very professional, and dedicated to solving the problem with our car.

I brought in my 89 325is for services and they were more then helpful in what my car needed and found issues that's needed fixing. But when I went in the second time to fix my tie rod I picked up my car with visible bumper damaged. I called to speak to Eric the owner, and was told he was not available till the following week. I asked for an email so he may be able to read what has happened since he's been gone. I sent the email October 6th and it's since been about a week with no response. It's unfortunate that I wasn't informed as soon as the damaged happened or any of the workers make me aware. But for no one to reach out with a word or even a resolution is very disappointing. I would have continued to service with them if only I was informed before hand.

Very clear with what needed to be done and good price. No pressure and knowledgeable mechanics is a recipe for a great shop.

Stated they can't do a drive cycle to reset monitors for smog. Even though it's basic work. I had did it myself before as a non mechanic and was having a hard time this time. Service advisor acted like I asked to re build a motor for free. Kinda at a loss for being told they won't do it.Update. Owner responds acting like he knows how the conversations went down. I was attempting to be a paying customer. I have went to a normal shop and there are no pending codes. So don't make blanket statements. But your lack of customer service. Then your knee jerk reactions on Yelp as an owner are downright appalling. I can see why people are saying you guys have slipped. It's not rude when it's true and your customer service skills have trickled down to your employees. A simple google search will also tell you it should take no longer than 15 min for one drive cycle, and may need to be done 5 times for my particular motor. Sounds like a 2 hour job, you are just too busy to take a job that might actually take the whole time you charge someone. Instead of one you can charge for 4 hours and be done in 1. Sounds like you aren't interested because you can't maximize your dollar. If it's something you do why was I turned down? I didn't ask it it be done right there or for free so your response makes no sense. And the implication that I wasn't trying to pay is disrespectful. Actually after reading all the other reviews it's pretty common that anyone that has a an issue with your customer service is "hyperbolic". Your responses are such.

I have taken my Mercedes in a number of times for repairs. They always do a great job at a reasonable price. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

When it comes to European car service look no further than Eric at Bavarian Auto Haus! I've been bringing my Volvos to Eric since 1996 beginning with my '86 240DL and most recently with my 2001 V70. Eric knows everything there is to know about European cars and is honest about every service he provides. The crew at Bavarian Auto Haus is honest, trustworthy, and affordable! They take care of you with a very pleasant customer service attitude, going out of their way for each and every car. You'll leave content and with a smile.

They seem to be very busy shop. I appreciate them responding and having an appointment relatively quick, I brought my g500 and told them to check everything and fix anything that they find. We haven't driven that car in months, so we definitely needed oil change, steering wheel fluid top off, etc.(this service not brought up and thus was not done). Told them there's definitely a battery problem (they address this) electrical issue with the front seats (they ordered the parts, but they still couldn't fix it), and told them the car sometimes acts up and won't drive even when its on "D", they had my car for a little over two weeks and they said they couldn't find anything wrong related to this issue. Unfortunately, we need to find some place else for our car.

The guys here are really, really good. Had my Audi problem diagnosed within 5 minutes, parts ordered with 10 minutes and appointment set for the following morning. This all from a 3 pm visit! Returned the next morning for the new wheel Bering and hub replacement for my Audi Q5 and dropped the car off at 8:30 am. Got a call at 11:50 am indicating the car was ready. Good, fair pricing on the repair to boot. I'll be back next time as needed.

My experience here was phenomenal. Firstly, when I came in, there were 4 other ladies sitting in the waiting area as well as two cute dogs. That helped my anxiety lessen already. As I sat there, I chatted with the ladies and some shared with me how they came to be life long customers there. It was such a relief to hear their stories. From what I heard and experienced this shop has great customer service and goes the extra mile to work around their customers needs. After about 10 minutes of letting the car run the owner came in and said, yep, it's smoking bad. I think I know what the problem is and I have the part to fix it.I can't tell you the feeling of relief it was to hear that! This was the fourth repair shop I've been to, to fix a major smoking from the tailpipe issue.I even went to a VW specific dealership for their diagnosis and repairs that didn't fix the issue. (But the repairs were still necessary for general long-term maintenance, ((mass air flow sensor, decarb, spark plugs etc)) which I'm huge on, so I wasn't mad just really bummed and worried that it didn't fix it.)This shop had my car diagnosed, repaired and out on the road again within an hour!!!!I've been feeling bad about polluting the air and myself and just stressed about this for months, hoping it didn't break down and I could afford whatever the fix was when I finally found out.The problem turned out to be a worn seal. It was So much better than what some shops had me worried about it being. (Thousands of dollar repair guestimates, pending more expensive testing and time with no promises ?)I am amazed, eternally grateful and impressed at their knowledge. They really know cars! They also taught me some things specifically about my engine I had no clue about that is pretty important for it's maintenance. I'm so thankful. If you have a foreign car or a tricky problem, go see these guys.If you want to feel assured of good materials being used for general maintenance, you can feel good about going here as well because they're big on quality. (They're also ASE certified!)The owner is hands on with all repairs that come through. He's a quick thinker, good teacher and bluntly honest. I like that. Especially in a mechanic.I wholeheartedly recommend this place and their work. They're busy for a reason. Make an appointment, it will be worth the wait!
