Outdoorsman is a veteran-owned and operated business run by a local husband and wife team since reopening in March 2025. Their main goal is to create a community where people can come to be equipped for hunting, self-defense, competition, collecting, recreational shooting, and outdoor activities. The staff, considered family, have many years of experience in firearms and the outdoors, always ready to answer questions and offer helpful advice. The shop offers a wide selection of firearms, collectibles, and fishing gear, and they buy guns and collectibles as well as accept consignments daily. If they do not have or cannot get a specific item, they are happy to direct customers to other locally owned firearms stores in nearby towns, prioritizing community over business. Customers praise the store for its friendly, helpful staff and excellent customer service, noting positive experiences with transactions and negotiations. The environment is welcoming for women and children of all shooting levels. The owner and staff, including a skilled gunsmith, are known for their patience, kindness, and professionalism. Many appreciate their effort to build a friendly, inviting atmosphere and their competitive prices, especially on ammo. Overall, Outdoorsman is a trusted and community-focused shop that provides a positive experience for outdoor enthusiasts and firearm owners alike.
Recently started coming to The Outdoorsman this year, can't say enough good things about this shop. Austin and Greg are knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and offer a relaxed approach to gun shopping. Well worth the 45 minute drive for me to come here and be my new favorite central coast gun shop.
