This place is only for those looking for the homemade authentic kimchee, soy bean paste and gochujang. They sell locally cold pressed sesame seed oil (in glass jar!), perilla seed oil (also glass jar!), dumplings and home made banchan (though all on the spicy side). They also have a great curated selection of other frozen foods. For those looking for mass produced teriyaki sauce, this will not be the place for you -- it's for the people who look to make the actual sauce for Korean BBQ and teriyaki chicken.

Nice lady But what's the point when they don't have an essential. When I need to buy Korean Bulgolfi marinade sauce, I buy it from a Korean market. Makes sense, right? "No, no bulgolgi sauce" "No, no teriyaki sauce" "Any kind of sauce to cook meat? No, no sauce to cook meat" I didn't believe hee. I thought lost in translation (even though bulgolgi is a Korean word). I slowly, methodically checked every shelf for any kind of marinade. Zip, zero, nada, zilch (I don't know how to say none in Korean). So sad. Just sadness

My parents have been coming to this market for many many years now. They don't carry a huge selection of things, but everything that they do have is of good quality. This is a Korean Mini Market, so you'll find things like dried fish, dried vegetables/roots, red pepper paste/flakes, oils and all the ingredients you need to make banchan. They carry good Kimchi, not a huge selection but it's pretty good. Their fruits are always good, ask the owner lady what's in season she'll help you out. She might even help you pick the best fruits.

The fruit selection is not huge. Maybe 4-6. BUT, their fruit is the BEST. I buy boxes for various special occasions and gifts. They go in the mornings to pick up fresh from their suppliers/farmers etc. and they always get the cream of the crop. Do you notice how Cerritos Ralphs bananas are ALWAYS tasty, but other markets with the same Dole bananas are not as good and don't ripen as well? Same thing. DJ has the best fuji apples, pears, BLUE JAY tangerines, persimmons, etc. all seasonal of course. It's quite crowded in here, but they've got a little of everything you need from a K market. Try their frozen section... they have homemade katsus & dumplings that are amazing. Kimchi is also fresh and popular. Husband and wife owners who've been around for decades and not always smiley, but very friendly and kind.

This cute Market is located inside of a strip mall. It's not that big inside and to be honestly, from its facade, I didn't have high expectations. It's a quaint little store for those in the surrounding area who need to grab something quick . I went to a large Korean grocery store earlier for the specific type of grapes that I wanted and the quality at that store was so low. Some of the grapes were molding, juice from the mold from those grapes were dripping on to the other packages. This store had what I needed, it was a dollar more but that's okay. There's not a large selection of fruit here but it seems like the store is great for Quality ingredients. They do accept credit and debit cards

Worth it! Support local businesses! This is the Korean market you come to when you're not in the mood to buy mass-produced Korean goods anymore. So will they have bags of your favorite Korean snacks or candy? Prolly not. Do they have awesome kimchi that's locally made and comes in an old-fashioned glass jar and can be eaten just like a salad? Yes. I love the DdoSsoonEe kimchi--I just ate a whole plate of it with a side of noodles. This is also the kind of place that has regulars, super nice owners, and deliberately curated and homemade-like goods. Will I go to H-Mart again? Yes. Will I come back here, too? Of course, when I run out of that amazing kimchi.
