Oh my goodness the phone system is horrible you wanna ask a simple question about passport renewal before you drive down there and have to go through 20 questions just to get hung up on ! Get rid of the operator and get back to picking up the phone !

The delivery person for Arvin keeps leaving the mailbox open(if the item being delivered is too large). And leaves the item hanging out instead of taking it to the front doorstep…..that’s how you get packages stolen!!

Horrible service by delivery carriers in Arvin, my in-laws often do not receive important documents that are mailed to them, some have been time sensitive documents for their health care management. Often packages that I mail them from Florida or Amazon (as usps is the third party carrier for Amazon in Arvin) DO NOT arrive!!! ?This is federal theft!!! And I am reporting this and I will ensure that the responsible party is reprimanded if not fired. Who messes with the elderly?! Shame!!!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. The lady that delivers for Monroe street is completely incompetent. She totally deserves to be fired so they can hire someone capable of doing the job.

I would suggest to avoid coming at all. Mary (the front desk clerk) was literally yelling at me for coming in on time to my appointment but not having paperwork in hand.We started filling it out asap Nd when we went in She said she couldn't serve us anymore even tho she was just waiting doing nothing behind the desk. Please avoid coming to this office or talking to Mary from this office. Very rude and mean lady. If she doesn't like working with people why is the post office still employ her?

I've gone into this office a handful of times and every time I've gone they've always been a disappointment. The women that work in the office are little to no help, and they're very rude. The female mail carriers are even WORSE. They delivered AirPods to my neighbors house, textbooks, and several other packages. 8 out of 10 times it's delivered to the wrong house. Thankfully my neighbor is kind enough to let me know my packages have gotten to their house if not I would have lost out on so much more money than I already have because of Arvin's mail carriers. They've left the keys in my mailbox to open up the bigger mailbox to take out packages I don't even have coming in?! Lastly, a few weeks ago they delivered a child support/court paper to my address for someone who lives across town, that's serious paperwork that can cause serious stress. They literally pay no attention to the address they're delivering too.

Love going to this post office. Friendly and fast service. I live in Bakersfield but work in Arvin. I never go to my local post office cause the wait is forever. I can go on my lunch break and still have time to spare. Love it!!

The Arvin usps staff are the worst. They are rude and do not prioritize the needs of the customer. Their customer service sucks. You are better off going to Bakersfield.

The post office employees at the counter do not have the social skills to treat a customer with respect. They are really vague on helping us or giving us information about our problems with our mail. On one occasion, someone broke into our mailbox, and I let them know and they kept telling me it wasn't under their control and we had to talk to people in Bakersfield, and that went on for about 3 months, and she never gave me information on who to talk to, she only repeated the post office from Bakersfield was responsible. On the second occasion, my package was delivered to the wrong address and the clerk told me the address it was sent to and that they were going to try to get my package back, and so I gave it three days. The postmaster, which is the supervisor talked to me over the phone and let me know that they did the right thing and followed what the package had said, and basically said exactly what the clerk said, and I was raising my voice out of frustration, and the postmaster stated I was "barking up the wrong tree, and it was none of my business looking for the package" at the address they had told me it was sent to. When I talked to the person that my package was sent to, they were super cooperative and were willing to help me out, and advised me to not go to the post office because they are always rude to her and they are no help, which I came to notice that. What made it worse was that my dad went for an update in person and mentioned the issue I had over the phone with the postmaster and the postmaster denied ever stating that I was "barking up the wrong tree and that it was not my business looking for my package at the address it was sent to." My dad doesn't speak English so of course one of the clerks who helped me translated for him, and they told him I was being rude and making a scene, and my dad asked her "why not call a police or security to escort me out if I was making a scene?" And she said it wasn't a big deal. I feel like the clerks and the postmaster himself were falsifying everything just to protect their image of the post office, and I was left in disbelief with how inept they turned out to be with this whole mess. I will not be returning here for their help ever, and I hope that whoever's above the postmaster, re-evaluates the employees working at the desk.
